Hasbro has finally unveiled the one San Diego Comic-Con 2016 exclusive we’ve all been waiting for…their annual Marvel Legends Box Set! This incredible exclusive features five never before released Marvel Legends 3¾” scale action figures of some really old school Marvel cosmic characters. SDCC 12 Exclusive Marvel Universe The Avengers Helicarrier by Hasbro

Hasbro is releasing a super-sized Helicarrier at San Diego Comic-Con this summer as a tie-in to hit film The Avengers! Made for Hasbro’s popular line of 3.75” Marvel Universe action figures, this SDCC exclusive will measure over 4 feet long (basically the size of an ironing board) and will feature brand new Joe Quesada artwork on its packaging. This super-sized Helicarrier will also include two special edition Marvel Universe action figures: a brand new version of Captain America and a SHIELD Agent Maria Hill! While The Blot can do without a 4’ vehicle, I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on a Cobie Smulders action figure.

For those of you not attending San Diego Comic-Con this year, don’t worry. Hasbro will be releasing a standard edition version of the SHIELD Helicarrier in stores soon! SDCC 2012 Exclusive Masters of Evil Marvel Universe Action Figure 3 Pack

Hasbro has announced its first exclusive for San Diego Comic-Con 2012 and of course it’s an Avengers tie-in. However instead of featuring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, this exclusive includes three members of The Avenger’s greatest foes: the Masters of Evil! The precursor to Marvel’s popular Thunderbolts team, The Masters of Evil (who first appeared in 1964’s Avengers #6) were a team of villains brought together specifically to destroy the Avengers. This SDCC 2012 Exclusive Masters of Evil Marvel Universe 3 pack includes team leader and founder Baron Zemo, original team member Radioactive Man, and Tiger Shark.

Each action figure in this Marvel Universe Masters of Evil Special Edition 3 Pack stands 3.75” tall and features multiple points of articulation. NYCC 2011 Exclusive Compound Hulk Marvel Universe Action Figure

Hasbro has announced its first New York Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive and it’s incredible! Well, incredible as in the Incredible Hulk! Hasbro will be releasing a NYCC Exclusive Marvel Universe Compound Hulk 3 ¾” action figure, which is inspired by Hulk #30 by Jeff Parker and Ed McGuinness. In that issue the two hulking enemies were combined into one red-and-green behemoth! The figure is based on the artwork of superstar artist Ed McGuinness, and his artwork adorns the special edition blister card and outer packaging of this limited edition figure!

To be honest The Blot hasn’t read the Hulk in years, but I really love this figure because it reminds me so much of DC’s Silver Age villain the Composite Superman (who looked like half Superman and half Batman). This is definitely going to be a must get for any Incredible Hulk and Red Hulk fan! SDCC 2011 Exclusive Sentinel 19 Inch Marvel Universe Action Figure

After the huge success of last year’s 19” Galactus Marvel Universe action figure, Hasbro will be releasing a San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive 19" Sentinel Marvel Universe deluxe action figure packaged in a blister card with artwork by Marvel's Joe Quesada. The blister card will be a gigantic 27 inches tall, keeping it in scale with the 19” Sentinel and matching the blister card packaging of Hasbro’s Marvel Universe 3.75” action figure toy line.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Sentinel 19 Inch Marvel Universe Deluxe Action Figure features real robotic lights and sounds, but unlike Galactus (which came with the Silver Surfer) the Sentinel will not be packaged with a standard 3.75” figure. There will actually be two versions of this deluxe action figure released, the standard lighter colored version and the SDCC Exclusive classic dark purple Sentinel. At least this way everyone should be able to get their hands on some version of this massive mutant killer. Both versions will also come packaged in a protective window-box.

SDCC 2010 Exclusive Iron Man Mark VI Mighty Mugg with Flip-Up Visor

The Blot was starting to get concerned when Hasbro failed to mention its San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs. Thankfully that changed yesterday when the toy company updated its SDCC exclusives list! Hasbro has been working very closely with Tony Stark and Stark Industries to create the ultra-hip vinyl collectible Marvel Universe Iron Man 2 Mighty Mugg figure. Styled after Iron Man’s Mark VI armored suit, the figure features a retractable visor on its helmet and is highlighted in premium commemorative foil packaging.


Each San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Iron Man Mark VI with Flip-Up Visor will retail for $15.99 and be available for purchase at Hasbro’s SDCC booth #3329 at Comic-Con. A limited number of Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs will be available on HasbroToyShop.com after the convention.

SDCC 2010 Exclusive Galactus 19 Inch Marvel Universe Action Figure

At San Diego Comic-Con this year Hasbro will be releasing a SDCC Exclusive 19" Galactus Marvel Universe deluxe action figure packaged in a blister card with artwork by Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada. The blister card will be a gigantic 27 inches tall, keeping it in scale with the 19” Galactus and matching the blister card packaging of Hasbro’s Marvel Universe 3.75” action figure toy line.


The Blot has not found any information on the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Galactus 19” Marvel Universe action figure’s runs size or price yet, but I do have good news for those of us unable to attend this year's Comic-Con. A second version of the deluxe 19” Galactus Marvel Universe action figure will be released sometime after Comic-Con. The non-SDCC exclusive version will be packaged in some sort of window-box packaging (instead of on a blister card) and include an all new Silver Surfer 3.75” Marvel Universe action figure.

SDCC 09 - Marvel Mighty Muggs Are Back!

The only Mighty Muggs on display at Hasbro’s San Diego Comic Con 2009 were the soon to be relaunched Marvel Universe Mighty Muggs toy line. According to the display there are at least three Waves planned to come out this year!



What most fans will really be excited about finally seeing is the debut of the highly anticipated Deadpool Mighty Mugg! Along with Deadpool and a slew of previously announced figures, Hasbro will also be producing Mighty Mugg versions of Juggernaut, War Machine and what looks like a 1st Appearance Wolverine.



The Blot is pretty excited to finally have firm confirmation that at least one line of Hasbro’s Mighty Muggs figures will continue. Here’s hoping to more Mighty Muggs news in the near future!
