“Heroes Are Villains” Marvel Comics Screen Print by Tristan Eaton

It’s been a really long time since there’s been a print released The Blot HAD to have, but I freaking NEED “Heroes Are Villains” by Tristan Eaton! Tristan seriously killed it with this new Marvel Comics inspired 12 color screen print produced by 1xRun. Tristan, a huge Marvel fan, explains the print’s design by saying “it’s about the blurry line between good guys and bad guys. It’s never as black and white as we think, especially in real life.” This epic screen print is a mash-up of 16 recognizable Marvel heroes and villains in Tristan’s unique art style. Can you guess them all!?! I’ll put the answer at the end of this post.

We’re just three weeks into 2014 and Funko’s already announced three different series of Mystery Minis. Without a doubt this Marvel Comics Mystery Mini Blind Box Series is my favorite! What’s really awesome about this Marvel series is how many different characters it includes. The Marvel Mystery Minis includes 2.5” vinyl figures of heroes Spider-Man, Deadpool, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Phoenix (Jean Grey), The Punisher, the Incredible Hulk, Silver Surfer, and villains Loki, Doctor Doom, Galactus, Thanos, Ultron and the Green Goblin. What an epic line-up! It’s especially great to see a toy line not focused solely on The Avengers and heroes like Wolverine, Captain America and Iron Man.

Heralds of Galactus Minimates Box Set

Hide your mini-planets, because Galactus, the devourer of worlds, is hungry and he's sending out a few cosmically powered heralds to scope out the scene! A few months back, Toys "R" Us hosted a poll to choose who would be in their exclusive 4 pack of Marvel Minimates (produced by Diamond Select Toys) spotlighting Galactus and his heralds. Now we know the results…the Heralds of Galactus Minimates Box Set will include Galactus, Nova, Morg and Terrax.

Each figure in the TRU Exclusive Heralds of Galactus Minimates Box Set will also include their signature weapons and/or mode of transportation. Nova will have a flaming flight base that connects to her fiery hair, Morg will wield his axe and comes with a flight base. Terrax will also have his menacing axe, a rock to ride on and a clear support stand. SDCC 2010 Exclusive Galactus 19 Inch Marvel Universe Action Figure

At San Diego Comic-Con this year Hasbro will be releasing a SDCC Exclusive 19" Galactus Marvel Universe deluxe action figure packaged in a blister card with artwork by Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada. The blister card will be a gigantic 27 inches tall, keeping it in scale with the 19” Galactus and matching the blister card packaging of Hasbro’s Marvel Universe 3.75” action figure toy line.


The Blot has not found any information on the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Galactus 19” Marvel Universe action figure’s runs size or price yet, but I do have good news for those of us unable to attend this year's Comic-Con. A second version of the deluxe 19” Galactus Marvel Universe action figure will be released sometime after Comic-Con. The non-SDCC exclusive version will be packaged in some sort of window-box packaging (instead of on a blister card) and include an all new Silver Surfer 3.75” Marvel Universe action figure.

Marvel Mighty Muggs - The Devourer of Worlds and His Herald

I wasn’t planning on getting either of these figures, but after finally seeing the Galactus Mighty Mugg in person I knew I had to have it. Come on, name me one other character who can instill this much fear in an entire universe while wearing a purple so light some might mistake it for pink! For that reason alone I had to purchase the Marvel Universe’s oldest living entity in Mighty Mugg form. The head piece on this figure is just spot on, but I wish they had made him on a 10” or 12” Mighty Mugg body.


I really didn’t want the Silver Surfer Mighty Mugg but he looked so great next to Galactus on the shelf that I ended up buying him too. Besides, Galactus can’t survive without a Herald scouring the universe in search of a planet for his next meal.
