To commemorate the big event, Vice Press has released this awesome New York Comic Con 2021 Exclusive Escape From New York Screen Print by Tom Whalen. Snake Plissken never looked so bad ass in Whalen’s newest John Carpenter movie poster.

Escape From New York by Tom Whalen is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print.  The Regular Ediiton is limited to 175 pieces and retails for £49.99 / $70, while the Variant is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for £54.99 / $80. Funko’s NYCC 2020 Exclusives Part 3 – Marvel, DC Comics & More!

New York Comic Con 2020 may be canceled, but that doesn’t mean the exclusives have been. Funko will be holding another one of its infamous Virtual Cons in place of NYCC this year, and releasing a ton of vinyl figure exclusives. Funko has started to unveil their “limited edition” (and not so limited edition) exclusives for NYCC 2020.

Funko’s third wave of New York Comic Con 2020 exclusives includes Venom Magento Pop! Marvel, Marvel Zombies Daredevil Pop!, Red Goblin Pop! John Carpenter Quad Movie Poster Series by Matt Ferguson x Vice Press x Grey Matter Art

Vice Press and Grey Matter Art are teaming up to release limited edition movie posters by Matt Ferguson for four iconic John Carpenter films – The Fog, They Live, Escape From New York and Prince of Darkness – in classic cinema quad sizing! Starting on Thursday, January 10th, and running for one week only, VP and GMA will be giving collectors the opportunity to purchase these fantastic retro posters in their classic cinema quad size of 40”x30”.

As artist Matt Ferguson explained, “Last year I had the distinct pleasure of being hired by StudioCanal to work on the 4K John Carpenter classics. I conceptualized and made all of the key art for the films. It was a dream job for me and I am really happy the art came out pretty much exactly as I intended. My ideal versions of the art are the UK quad size, it's the way the art was intended to be viewed and also my personal favorite dimensions for movie posters, so I am really happy that we are getting to make these available to people.”

Each John Carpenter Quad Movie Poster Fine Art Print by Matt Ferguson will be printed on 250gsm Vitesse Silk Paper and retail for £50 / $60. All four movie posters can also be purchased as a set for the discounted cost of £150 / $190. Each print will come signed and numbered by the artist and the total size of the edition will be based on the number of posters ordered during this period.

The Fog, They Live, Escape From New York and Prince of Darkness will be released at the Vice Press online store at 5pm U.K time and at the Grey Matter Art online store at 12pm EST starting on January 10th and ending at the same time on January 17th.

MondoCon Exclusive Escape from New York Screen Print by Matt Taylor x Mondo

In just four short days Mondo’s MondoCon 2016 will be opening its doors in Austin, Texas for a celebration of all things movies, art, comics, music, toys and food! Mondo will once again have an epic line-up of exclusive screen prints for the convention, including this killer Escape from New York movie poster by Matt Taylor. The 24”x36” screen print will be available in two editions. The Regular Edition is limited to 300 pieces, while the Glow in the Dark Variant is limited to just 150 pieces.

NYCC 16 Exclusive Escape From New York Screen Print by Martin Ansin x Bottleneck Gallery

Bottleneck Gallery will be at New York Comic Con 2016 all weekend where they will be releasing an insane amount of exclusives. Tomorrow, Grey Matter Art will be releasing its newest officially licensed screen print, and it is truly epic! Under license from StudioCanal, GMA has teamed up with the very talented artist Matt Ferguson to produce a killer new movie poster for the classic 80's action film, Escape from New York. For this release there will be two separate editions, a regular and glow in the dark variant, as well as a super limited edition 1” pin designed by Matt to be included randomly in select orders.

SDCC 15 Exclusive Escape From New York Variant Screen Print by Ken Taylor

Thanks to io9, we now know Mondo will be releasing this awesome San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive Escape From New York Variant Screen Print by Ken Taylor later this week. This super rare variant measures 36”x24” and is limited to just 175 piece. It will retail at a random day and time this week at the Mondo SDCC booth for $75.

Escape from New York Screen Print by Gabz

Here’s the full reveal of Grey Matter Art’s upcoming release “Escape from New York” screen print by Gabz (aka Grzegorz Domaradzki)! As The Blot mentioned last week, this is the first official screen print for the John Carpenter classic released way back in 1981 and starring Kurt Russell as hero Snake Plissken. It’s hard to imagine this is the first licensed Escape from New York art poster since the film was released almost 35 years ago, but boy was it worth the wait! This movie poster is just plain awesome. I love how Gabz was able to recreate the post-apocalyptic vibe of the film with his design.

“Escape from New York” by Gabz is a 24”x36” 6 color hand numbered screen print, and will go on sale at a random time (between 1-2pm EST) tomorrow, Wednesday, April 30th, at the Grey Matter Art online store. The Standard Edition print entitled “Call me Snake” has a limited edition run size of 325 pieces and will retail for $50, while the Variant entitled “The name’s Plissken!” has a limited edition run size of 175 pieces and will retail for $75 each.

First Look: Escape from New York Screen Print by Gabz

Our friends at Grey Matter Art have lined up a seriously epic release for their second movie poster screen print! They’ve teamed up with artist Gabz (aka Grzegorz Domaradzki) to produced the first authorized art poster based on John Carpenter’s iconic b-movie Escape from New York. This one is going to be so freaking good! The Blot can’t wait to see the full design when it’s unveiled next week.

Escape From New York ReAction Retro Action Figures by Funko & Super7

If you loved the original Aliens ReAction Figure toy line from Funko and Super7 as much as The Blot then you’ll be excited to see the next few waves have been announced! Thanks to Entertainment Earth we now have pictures of the upcoming Escape From New York ReAction Figures, which includes two different Snake Plissken action figures (with and without a jacket). A Kurt Russell toy has never looked so good! This John Carpenter classic always needs more tie-in toys.

Two of The Blot’s favorite toy companies have teamed up to produce a retro line of 3 ¾” pop culture officially licensed action figures based on the classic Kenner action figures of the ’70 sand ‘80s.
