The Medicom x Kaws Dissected Companion Be@rbrick is back, and this time it’s being released in a pretty slick looking Mono colorway. Lance Corporal Nibbles Custom Munny & the Can Opener by Huck Gee

After a year hiatus, Huck Gee returns to his series of hand painted custom UTCMC Dread Squad figures with the infamous (and adorable) Nrezatarian Lance Corporal "Nibbles," who comes wearing the Vlad Systems Mech Desecrator Close Quarters Reflexive Suit (a.k.a. "the Can Opener"). This armor was designed to allow the lone marine to slip within a mech's defensive perimeter and tear them apart in close combat.

Lance Corporal Nibbles Custom Munny & the Can Opener by Huck Gee
Utilizing reflexive technology to increase the wearer's reflexes, strength and ability to leap, combined with the charged capacitive armor piercing claws, Nibbles is known to wreck pure havoc on the battlefield, and according to the rumors behind his nickname, and a long list of missing compatriots, off the battlefield too.

Lance Corporal Nibbles Custom Munny & the Can Opener by Huck Gee
The hand painted Lance Corporal Nibbles custom Munny goes on sale this Friday, April 2nd, at noon PDT and can be purchased directly from Huck at his brand spanking new online store. Each figure is signed, numbered and comes with the accessories shown above. Only 10 Lance Corporal Nibbles figures have been created, and each figure will retail for $750.

The Losers Comic Book Inspired One Sheet Movie Poster

The Blot loves how many comic book based movies are being green lit by Hollywood nowadays. What’s even better is the quality of the movies being produced. One of the comic book movies I’m looking forward to the most is The Losers, directed by Sylvain White. I really enjoyed the Vertigo monthly series by Andy Diggle and Jock, and can’t wait to see how it’s translated to the silver screen.

The Losers Comic Book Inspired Illustrated One Sheet Movie Poster
One of the coolest parts of the ad campaign for The Losers live action movie adaptation is that they took the cover artwork to The Losers #12 and adapted it into the movie promo poster above. Then they took it one step further by reproducing the comic’s artwork with the film’s actual cast. It was a killer idea that was executed to perfection. I seriously can’t believe no comic book themed movie had ever done this before!

The Losers Comic Book Inspired One Sheet Movie Poster
The Losers is scheduled to premiere in theaters on April 23, 2010, and stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Clay, Zoe Saldana as Aisha, Chris Evans as Jensen, Idris Elba as Roque, Columbus Short as Pooch, Óscar Jaenada as Cougar and Jason Patric as Max.

Hugo “Hurley” Reyes Mr. Cluck’s Lost Bobble Head

The sixth Lost bobble head from Bif Bang Pow! has been announced, and it features everyone’s favorite speaker to the dead, Hugo “Hurley” Reyes! I have mixed emotions about the Hugo Reyes Mr. Cluck’s Lost bobble head because while I love Hurley, I wish they had produced a generic Hurley bobble head first instead of an Australian outback Hurley (as he appeared in the Mr. Cluck’s Chicken Shack commercial).

The Hugo Hurley Reyes Mr. Cluck’s Lost 7 Inch Bobble Head by Bif Bang Pow!
While it’s not my favorite version of Hurley, I do love Bif Bang Pow!’s line of Lost bobble heads, and this is definitely another must get. The Hugo Reyes Mr. Cluck’s Lost bobble head stands on a base featuring Mr. Cluck’s Chicken Shack logo and comes holding a boomerang. The Hurley bobble head is made out of resin and stands 7" tall. While the bobble head won’t ship until August 2010, it is available for pre-order here from EntertainmentEarth.com right now for $12.99.

Lost - Ab Aeterno

“Ab Aeterno” was, in a word, spectacular. It was hands down the best Lost Season 6 episode to date, and gave fans the type of answers we’ve all been dying for! With that being said, I wasn’t head over heels in love with this episode like many Lost fans and the media seem to be. In fact, I think the “greatness” of the episode has more to do with everyone’s dissatisfaction with Season 6 than the episode itself. But then again, maybe I’m being a little harsh. Either way, I loved finally learning Richard’s back story and how he became eternally youthful.

Lost
Truth be told, we learned more in last week’s episode than I ever thought we would, and “Ab Aeterno” definitely lived up to the hype we all placed on it. Fans have been clamoring for the back story of Richard Alpert for years, and the writers of Lost definitely made it worth our wait! I for one am glad to find out Richard’s story is so intricate to the history and mythology of the island…now if they’d only explain how and why Jacob formed the Others and allowed the Dharma Initiative to live on the island. I’m also dying to find out how and why Richard was allowed to leave the island these past 100 years.

Lost - Ab Aeterno - Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert
Before I discuss “Ab Aeterno” any further, I’d like to bring up a killer subplot of “Recon” I totally glossed over while reviewing it. It was brought up by a reader on Pop Candy’s Lost in a Flash and it is spot on! I can’t believe I didn’t put two and two together. As you may remember, while Ben was digging his own grave, FLocke appeared and told him he had placed a rifle 200 yards away to help him escape from Ilana. Flocke added that once he escaped he should come to the Hydra station because that’s where his group would be. The first issue I had with this scene is that if FLocke wanted to free Ben why didn’t he just kill Ilana, or at the very least, bring the gun to him there. Why plant it 200 yards away? It seemed like just another pointless test Lost likes to include in episodes.

Lost - Ab Aeterno - Titus Welliver as The Man In Black
But that issue is really more of a red herring. The real issue is that FLocke told Ben to meet him at the Hydra station. Which is all fine and good, except FLocke’s group wasn’t really at the Hydra station. It was Widmore’s team that was at the Hydra station, so FLocke was really leading Ben into the clutches of his mortal enemy, Charles Widmore. It looks like FLocke was trying to kill two birds with one stone, by getting Ben to kill Ilana before leading Ben to his death at the hands of Charles Widmore. So, was FLocke trying to get Ben killed or was he sending Ben to the Hydra station so he could also kill Widmore? Has Ben already served his purpose, or is Ben FLocke’s new killing machine? Just think, in two episodes (and with FLocke’s help) Ben might have killed off Jacob, Ilana and Widmore!

And now back to “Ab Aeterno.” I wish I had more to say about this episode, but I’m still processing Richard’s claim that the island is hell! Is the Man in Black really the devil or just evil incarnate...and is there really a difference between the two? I know the island isn’t really hell, but what the heck is going on!?! One thing I can say about last week's episode is that I think it's truly amazing that after 5 1/2 seasons the show can produce an episode this good and it only feature the show's original characters for something like 3 minutes! That just doesn't happen on network television, and kudos to the people behind Lost and ABC for being gutsy enough to try it.

Lost - Ab Aeterno - Mark Pellegrino as Jacob
I do have two theories/questions stemming from last week’s episode and I’d like to get everyone’s feedback. First the questions: since we know the island acts as a cork keeping evil trapped, because the island has sunk in the Flash Sideways, does that mean evil has been set free? Or does it mean evil has been vanquished and the island is no longer needed? And now on to my theory that’s been building over the past two episodes…in “Recon” we saw Widmore’s team setting up a sonic fence on the Hydra station. I originally thought this was to protect Widmore’s team from Smokey coming back to kill them. But, what if it was to trap Smokey on the Hydra station!?! Think of it as an even smaller jail cell on the 2nd island, which would finally free the main island from FLocke’s presence and allow Widmore to regain control of what he wants most in this world, the island. Things to make you go hmm…

Super7 - Weirdearth Outerspaced Rose Vampire by Josh Herbolsheimer
Super7's own Joshua Herbolsheimer travels deep into imagination outer space for his first solo art show! Josh’s art show, Weirdearth, opens Saturday, April 17th, and features all new artwork as well as the release of the Outerspaced Rose Vampire. The Blot’s been begging for a clear Rose Vampire for months, and it’s finally here! This clear pearl Rose Vampire with blue and silver spray looks sick, and I can’t wait to add one to my collection in just a few short weeks.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - Vietnam Central Highlands

In tonight’s episode of No Reservations, Tony returns to his favorite place in the world: Vietnam. This trip Tony explores the Central Highlands and the buzzing city of Hanoi. He first reunites with friend and former sidekick Linh in Da Lat for the regional specialty of Duck. The menu includes a crispy rice cake topped with a spicy cole-slaw type salad and boiled duck, and rice porridge made with duck liver and blood.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations on the Travel Channel
Tony then visits the Linh Phong Monastery Pagoda where over 30 women live and worship together. They practice both Buddhism and vegetarianism, and they don't eat meat because they don’t believe in killing anything, including animals. Bourdain is surprised to find that the vegetarian dishes prepared at the monastery are flavorful and spicy. Next, Tony visits Thu Khoi, a popular spot for motorbike taxi drivers in the Central Highlands. Tony and Linh arrive at 8:30 in the morning for the house specialties, which include wild boar and Java-Mouse deer. At first Tony refuses to eat the Java-Mouse deer because he has a thing with rodents, but Linh quickly figures out a way to trick him into it.

After spending time in the mountains, Tony heads to Hanoi where the streets are bustling with motorbikes and young adults. Their first stop in Hanoi is a no name restaurant that specializes in birds and insects. They try minced turtle dove, deep fried sparrow, and sticky rice with ant larvae. I don’t know about you, but I’m not feeling that meal at all! The episode ends just the way you’d expect, with lots of heavy drinking. Tony and friends visit a themed restaurant near the banks of the Red River, which patrons often visit to drink rice wine and watch the cock fighting out back. As Tony points out, the rice wine is really more of a liquor, especially since its alcohol content is 48%.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations airs Monday nights at 10/9c only on the Travel Channel.

So, when I heard Stragekiss was teaming up with Iconfactory to produce a limited edition vinyl figure of Ollie, the Twitterrrific mascot, I was floored! Blank Mickey Mouse 9 Inch Vinylmation Figure

While The Blot loves Disney’s Vinylmation platform, I’m not a huge fan of many of the designs produced so far. With that being said, I thought the release of a blank 9” Mickey Mouse figure was a very cool idea, and could be a great platform for all the customizers out there. As Disney says, “now you can be the artist and decorate your own Vinylmation masterpiece.”

Tic Toc Apocalypse Mini Figure Series Ratios

Even though Kidrobot’s new mini figure series Tic Toc Apocalypse by Amanda Visell isn’t scheduled to go on sale until April 1st, it sounds like cases of the toys are already popping up in select locations. While this is a tad puzzling, it also means we get an early look at the series’ ratios! The Blot’s also learned (from the picture below) that there are two different colorways of Visell’s Pegaphunt and Poopicorn figures. The only bad news in all of this is that the Bat Fighter Gnome figure’s ratio is 1/54, I guess it won’t be as ease to pull as I had once hoped.

Blue Apple Screen Print by David Flores

David Flores has adapted his stunning portrait of John Lennon into a killer looking screen print entitled “Blue Apple.” Incorporating the logo of The Beatles’ record label, Apple Records, into the print was an interesting take, especially when you consider the placement of Lennon’s profile, but I think it turned out great.

The second Kidrobot Black figure has been announced, and it’s an all black vinyl skull with gold teeth designed by Russ Karabalan a.k.a. SSUR. (link) The skull is adorned with SSUR’s trademark design and that’s really all we currently know about KR’s next Kidrobot Black release.

Kidrobot Black Skull by Russ Karabalan / SSUR
I’ve got to say, when Kidrobot first announced its new line of Kidrobot Black figures, The Blot was really excited. It sounded like a real attempt by the designer toy company to go back to its roots, but we’re now two figures in and I’m feeling extremely underwhelmed. Kick-Ass Propaganda Movie Poster Set

A set of retro looking, propaganda-esque Kick-Ass movie posters were released last week at SXSW, and they look awesome! Lost - Recon

While I enjoyed last week’s episode of Lost, after watching it a second time I’m starting to understand everyone’s frustration with the Season 6. I loved the cameos by Charlie’s brother Liam and Rebecca Mader’s Charlotte and thought this week’s Flash Sidways was brilliant, but the so-called answers we’re receiving have been kind of a letdown.

Lost - Recon - Josh Holloway as James Sawyer Ford and Sheila Kelley as Kendall
When FLocke explained to Kate how and why Claire was crazy I almost threw something at my TV. After two years the only answer we get is that Smokey needed Claire to help him in his war against the Others, so he tricked her into hating them!?! I expect so much more from Lost and its writers, and this seemed like a weak copout to me. I really, really hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

Lost - Recon - Emilie de Ravin as Claire Littleton and Evangeline Lilly as Kate Austen
As for those loony scenes between Kate and Claire, they really freaked me out! Emilie de Raven is doing a fantastic job playing crazy, and I can’t wait to see her go nuts on Kate again (we all know it’s going to happen right?). What really terrified me was the look on Sayid’s face as Claire tried to kill Kate. He’s totally out of it and doesn’t seem to care about anyone or anything anymore. Naveen Andrews has always been able to convey a wide range of emotions with just a turn of his head and a piercing look, and in “Recon” he delivered once again. I don’t know what’s going on with Sayid, but I fear for anyone that gets in his way.

Lost - Recon - Evangeline Lilly as Kate Austen, Naveen Andrews as Sayid Jarrah & Terry O'Quinn as John Locke
After talking about “Recon” with some fellow Lost fans, I was surprised to learn that not everyone is as interested in this upcoming war over the island as I am. In some respects I agree with them that too much of the show has centered around the island’s new found mythology, and not enough time on the show’s characters. Truth be told, Lost has never been just about the island, but it definitely became a huge part of the show these past two seasons, really ever since the characters first began time jumping.

Lost - Recon - Josh Holloway as James Sawyer Ford and Sheila Kelley as Kendall 0
I for one have really enjoyed watching the Losties pick sides for the impending battle over the island, but throwing in a third team, Team Widmore, this late in the game may have been unwise. We don’t know anything about these new characters from Widmore’s sub, and it’s hard to want to give them a chance knowing all of the terrible things Charles has done over the years. Regardless, the rest of this season is definitely going to be focusing on the upcoming battle between FLocke’s team of crazies and the combined forces of Team Widmore and Team Jacob, so we’d better get used it (and ready for some action).

I know I mentioned it earlier, but how awesome was this week’s Sawyer-centric Flash Sideways!?! Learning that Sawyer and Miles ended up as partners on the police force was just too damn cool. If ABC had half a brain, they’d already be developing an hour long police dramedy spin-off staring Sawyer and Miles. That’s the show they should be making instead of a Hawaii 5-O remake!

Lost - Recon - Rebecca Mader as Charlotte Lewis and Josh Holloway as James Sawyer Ford
I enjoyed learning Charlotte works with Miles’ father at the museum in the Flash Sideways, and that she’s still an adventure seeking archeologist. But what really made this week’s Flash Sideways stand out was the twist that Sawyer had become a cop instead of a con-man. Thankfully, he’s still searching for the real Sawyer, a.k.a. Anthony Cooper, and now that Miles is in on the hunt, I’ve got a feeling this storyline is going to get really interesting really fast. Thankfully, with only ten or eleven more hours of Lost left, we won’t have to wait that much longer for a resolution to Sawyer’s quest for vengeance.

No big theories this week, but tomorrow night’s episode is going to be HUGE!!! From my understanding, it’s a Richard-centric episode and features an old school Flash Back instead of a Flash Sideways. The episode is entitled "Ab Aeterno,” which is Latin for “since the beginning of time” or, more figuratively, “since a very long time ago.” (link) I can’t wait!

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Teaser Movie Poster

The Blot loves me some Scott Pilgrim, and this new teaser one sheet movie poster, released last week at SXSW, rocks! Fans have gone gaga over everything Scott Pilgrim ever since creator Bryan Lee O’Malley released his first SP graphic novel back in 2004, and 2010 is shaping up to be a huge year for the character. At this point, I’m not sure if I’m more excited for the release of the 6th and final graphic novel in the Scott Pilgrim series, Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour, or the first live action movie adaptation of the series, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Teaser One Sheet Promo Movie Poster - An epic of epic epicness

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - Provence

Tonight’s all new episode of No Reservations finds Tony visiting Provence, a region of southeastern France on the Mediterranean. Provence's simplistic lifestyle and approach to food is one of its most captivating and salient qualities. While there, Tony becomes enamored with its culture and cuisine, which stresses using fresh and superior ingredients like wine, cheese, bread and beautiful cuts of meat.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations on the Travel Channel
Anthony’s first adventure while in Provence is to learn how to make aioli, a sauce made of garlic and olive oil. As simple as it sounds, this sauce takes time and care for the perfect consistency and taste. In fact, the woman preparing it refused to do so outside because the wind might have affected the outcome. She uses a mortar and pestle, while Tony snaps green beans next to her. This sauce is traditionally served on vegetables and fish, which is exactly what Tony and his friends have for lunch.

Next, it's an early rise for drinks at Bar du Marche. The local men have made this an early Sunday morning tradition with wine, cheese, and sausages. Tony chats with his tablemates about their opinions on Provence food versus other areas of France. Tony then gets a family history lesson from his friend Anne and sits down for a snacks and drinks. The drink of choice in this region is Ricard wine (ice cubes and all). According to Anne, the popularity of this drink is due to how refreshing it is and the fact that it helps with digestion.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - Provence - Tony on a tour of the Domaine de Val Joanis winery with owner Jean Chancel
After that, Tony tries his hand at a game called Pétanque, which is similar to Bocce. The game originated in Provence and the locals consider it a serious competition. Tony gets his you-know-what handed to him within just a few minutes! Bourdain then takes a tour the Domaine de Val Joanis winery. Interestingly, the soil is really rocky and unforgiving. The locals believe that the soil forces the grape vines to work harder and penetrate deeper, which provides a unique taste to the wine. Last but not least, Tony meets back up with his friend Anne at her dessert shop Au Petit Duc to try Calisson, a classic almond dessert. Anne ends up putting Tony to work in her kitchen to see just how good his dessert skills really are. I hope Tony brought his A game!

Breaking Bad Season 3 Premiere & Television Poster

Breaking Bad, one of the best shows on television, returns to AMC this Sunday night (March 21st) for the start of its third season. It’s truly amazing how quickly Bryan Cranston was able to shake off the wholesome image he cultivated while starring on Malcolm in the Middle to truly become Breaking Bad’s Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who turns to making meth to support his family when he learns he is dying from cancer. Cranston has since won back to back Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for this role, and they were well deserved for his stunning portrayal of an everyman pushed to the brink.

Aaron Paul (Big Love) also stars as Jesse Pinkman, a former student of Walt’s and his partner in meth making. Paul’s performance in Season 2 was so captivating, I almost wish they had given his character more screen time over Walt. Jesse’s struggles with drug addiction were interesting, exciting and depressing all at once.

I can’t wait to see what Season 3 has in store for Walt, his family and his newly expanding drug cartel. In many ways, Breaking Bad has become the blue collar equivalent of The Sopranos, with the show focusing on both Walt’s home life and crime family, and how the two effect each other. I hear Season 3 has some crazy game changers early on, so expect a bumpy ride this year!

Breaking Bad airs Sunday nights at 10/9c on AMC.

Threadless - The Smurfs Inspired T-Shirt “It’s A Hard Life”

These past two weeks Threadless has produced some killer pop culture themed tees, and “It’s A Hard Life” continues that trend! This smurfy design takes a very unique look at Papa Smurf’s life by detailing his clan’s many struggles in the form of a highly detailed body tattoo. I’ve got to say, this is one version of Papa Smurf I never thought I’d see.

I think my favorite part of the design is either the dead Azrael on Papa’s lower back or the P-A-P-A finger tattoos on his left hand. This is definitely not your parent’s Smurfs! As a reminder, the Threadless 10th Anniversary Sale is still going on and all t-shirts are on sale for just $10!

You can purchase this Smurfs inspired “It’s A Hard Life” at Threadless.com on sale for $10 (normally it retails for $18). The shirt comes in both guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.

Threadless - Star Wars Inspired T-Shirt “Gentlemen Love Light Swords”

Threadless 10th Anniversary Sale
Yesterday Threadless launched its 10th Anniversary Sale, and for 48 hours all t-shirts in stock are on sale for just $10! For those of you who love pop culture themed t-shirts this is a killer deal because Threadless has recently produced some awesome tees inspired by some of The Blot’s favorite movies, television shows and comics. Last week they released a Batman themed tee, and now comes the Star Wars inspired “Gentlemen Love Light Swords.”

As you can see, “Gentlemen Love Light Swords” takes some seriously old school photos of men playing golf and baseball and replaces their clubs and bats with lightsabers. It’s a cool idea that I think turned out even better after being printed on a crème t-shirt.

You can purchase the comic book inspired “Gentlemen Love Light Swords” at Threadless.com on sale for $10 (normally it retails for $18). The shirt comes in both guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.

Disney Vinylmation The Muppets Series 1

While there’s been a lot of mixed reaction to Disney’s limited edition Vinylmation blind boxed figures in the designer vinyl community, this is one Vinylmation series The Blot can really get behind. After the popularity of Vinylmation Park Series 1's Kermit the Frog figure comes a series dedicated solely to The Muppets! The Vinylmation Muppets Series 1 includes twelve 3” characters, including one hard to find mystery chase.

Disney Vinylmation The Muppets Series 1 - Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Rowlf, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew & Beaker 3 Inch Vinyl Figures

The Vinylmation Muppets Series 1 includes Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Rowlf the Dog, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Beaker, Rizzo the Rat, The Swedish Chef, Sweetums, Statler and Waldorf, Bean Bunny and a mystery chase. The Muppets Series 1 chase figure has been confirmed to be a 55th Anniversary tuxedo wearing Kermit the Frog figure. If I could change one thing about this series, I would remove Sweetums and turn him into a 9” Vinylmation figure. He’s always been one of the biggest Muppets and a 3 inch figure just doesn’t do him justice.

Disney’s Vinylmation Muppets Series was released exclusively at Walt Disney World Resort on February 8th. This collection will be released at the Disneyland Resort sometime in March. These Resort exclusives are sure to be a hit with collectors and fans alike, so be sure to grab a few blind boxes when you have the chance, because you never know when these might sell out!

PNE: The Hangover Print Set by Justin Hampton, Emek & Jermaine Rogers

PNE - The Hangover Screen Print by EMEK
A short while ago Justin Hampton of PNE (Post Neo Explosionism) was contacted by movie director Todd Phillips. Phillips explained that he wanted to do something special for the cast and crew of his hit movie The Hangover, as it had become the highest grossing comedy of all time. A great rapport developed and Phillips commissioned PNE for a special project. He wanted Justin, Emek and Jermaine Rogers to create a set of commemorative rock-art style prints that embraced the no-holds-barred and reckless abandon of his hit film. "Make the posters...just wrong" Phillips said. With this inspiration, the trifecta set out to do just that. After months in development the project is now finished and the set of 3 prints is complete, each showcasing a different slant on the film.

PNE - The Hangover Screen Print by Justin Hampton
In a special arrangement with Todd, the director has agreed to let PNE release a limited number of The Hangover print sets to the poster collecting community. This set of 3 screen printed posters will be released this Thursday, March 18th. The 3 prints measure 30”x20” and are available in a limited edition of only 100 signed and numbered sets, which will retail for $150. There is also a very limited edition of only 25 variant sets printed on holographic foil stock, which will retail for $200.

PNE - The Hangover Screen Print by Jermaine Rogers
This set of 3 screen printed posters will be released on Thursday, March 18th, 2010 at 12 Noon PST on the official Post Neo Explosionism online store. You can find out more about each of the PNE The Hangover screen prints, as well as some very cool limited edition gifts that four lucky buyers will have the opportunity to snag, here.

PNE - The Hangover Creepy Bonus Screen Print by Justin Hampton
One bonus gift is a fourth limited edition screen print created exclusively for Todd Phillips only and not made available at all to the general public. This bonus print (pictured above) was produced as a gift from PNE to Todd Phillips and the cast and crew of The Hangover. The image is sort of an inside-joke between PNE and Todd, and showcases the mysterious and raunchy Mr. Creepy (remember the scene in the elevator?). The character appears, under different credited names, in many of Phillips' films, and is always involved in the weirdest scenarios. In the film Road Trip, he makes an appearance on the bus wearing a track suit and a curly black wig. Mr. Creepy makes a cameo near the start of Old School, again, wearing a track suit and the same curly black wig. Let's just say that Todd Phillips absolutely loved this print, cleverly put together in beautiful day-glow by Justin Hampton.

Kidrobot has already unveiled 11 of the 14 vinyl figures in Amanda Visell’s upcoming Tic Toc Apocalypse mini figure series. Well here’s one more, the Centaur chase vinyl figure! While we still don’t know this series’ ratios, I’m hoping this guy isn’t too hard to get since he looks so damn cool.

Threadless - The Joker Inspired T-Shirt “God Save the Villain!”

While it’s up for discussion as to whether or not Batman would actually wear this shirt, I quite like Threadless’ latest pop culture themed tee. Like many comic book fans, the Joker is one of The Blot’s favorite villains and “God Save the Villain!” looks like it came straight out of a classic Silver Age Batman comic in which the Joker attacked Buckingham Palace with his infamous Joker venom, turning all of Britain’s royal family into twisted Joker-like versions of themselves. Thankfully, most of those old Silver Age stories involved Batman defeating the Clown Prince of Crime in 32 pages or less!

Lost - Dr. Linus

Man, was last week’s episode of Lost awesome or what!?! We got answers, redemption and twists all in under an hour. Not only did we get to see more of Ben and Arzt in the Flash Sideways, but we also got our first Alex Rousseau appearance since her very unfortunate (and sad) death. We learned that Alex is being raised by a single mother who works two jobs to provide for her daughter. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait too long to see Danielle show up in a Flash Sideways scene.

Lost - Dr. Linus - Michael Emerson as Ben Linus & Daniel Roebuck as Leslie Arzt
It was also cool how the writers juxtaposed the end of “Dr. Linus” with the end of “Sundown” from two weeks ago. “Sundown” ended with the formation of FLocke’s “evil” crew, including Crazy Claire and Evil Sayid, while “Dr. Linus” ended with the coming together of Jacob’s “good guys” team. For a minute there I actually thought I was watching a Season 1 episode when Lost’s classic music medley started playing and we had a slow motion Lostie reunion on the beach. Finally our cast has fully come together, albeit in two warring factions. I have to say, the makeup of Jacob’s side was quite surprising. Never in a million years did I expect Team Jacob to include Jack, Ilana, Richard AND Ben. It should be an entertaining crew though, with 3 of the show’s funniest characters (Hurley, Miles and Frank) finally hanging out together on consistent basis.

And did everyone love the scene between Jack and Richard as much as I did? For once I feel like we actually learned something from a conversation on Lost, primarily Jacob’s ability to keep his chosen ones from killing themselves. I am a little torn as to what the expression was on Jack’s face right before the dynamite should have blown up in the Black Rock. Was that a look of true faith or had Jack finally come to terms with the fact he might die? Either way, at this point Jack seems to have completely given in to his destiny and now believes whole heartedly in fate/faith.

Lost - Dr. Linus - Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert
The inability of candidates to kill themselves raises an interesting question: was Michael Dawson’s inability to kill himself because he was “touched” by Jacob (meaning he was also at one time a candidate)? Richard doesn’t seem to be a candidate, so I suppose Jacob’s “gift” can be given to non-candidates as well, but that doesn’t explain Michael’s true role on the island. We saw Michael try to kill himself on multiple occasions, only to find out the island wasn’t through with him yet. Then, when he finally was able to die, it was Christian Shephard who told him his time was up.

I originally felt like Michael was protected by Jacob, but as we have learned more about the smoke monster, it appears he may have been protected by FLocke instead. I think this question won’t be answered until we learn if Christian was/is the Smoke Monster or if he is some of emissary for the island. At this point, I’m leaning towards Dr. Shephard being the smoke monster because we haven’t seen him since smokey was trapped in Locke’s form.

Lost - Dr. Linus - Ken Leung as Miles Straume & Michael Emerson as Ben Linus
For me, all of the revelations/questions coming out of "Dr. Linus" tied in perfectly to the episode’s final scene, in which we discover a submarine off the island’s coast carrying Charles Widemore back to the island! You see, with all this talk of rules and gifts, the reappearance of Widemore and Alex in last week’s episode reminded me of another rule, the rule that stated Charles and Ben couldn’t kill each other. I assume this is because Jacob touched both of them, Charles at some point in the past and Ben either when he was resurrected in the temple or moments before he killed Jacob in the four toed statue. But what is the true purpose of this rule and how does it relate to the “gift” Jacob gives his chosen ones? All of this has to be related, right?

Another aspect of Jacob that bothers me is that he appears to be all knowing. For instance, when he convinced Hurley to take Jack away from the temple to the lighthouse, he said he did so to protect them from the danger about to engulf the temple. Jacob also knew the effect being at the lighthouse would have on Jack, and while we don’t know exactly what Jacob has told Ilana, it appears he’s given her hints and clues as to what’s to come.

Lost - Dr. Linus - Jorge Garcia as Hurley Reyes & Matthew Fox as Jack Shephard
If this is true, and Jacob is in fact omniscient, then doesn’t it stand to reason Jacob knew what was going to happen to Sayid and Dogen at the temple!?! The only reason Sayid was even taken to the temple and "saved" was because Jacob told Hurley to do so. Since Jacob apparently knows how all this is going to play out, he also had to know Sayid would die and be reborn infected. I take this to mean he wanted Sayid to become infected and join FLocke’s team. And this, my friends, is The Blot’s first true Season 6 theory.

Lost, among all other things, seems to be about redemption. And from what I can tell, Jacob wanted Sayid to help FLock so he could gain his trust and earn his way into FLocke's inner circle. Then, during the final conflict between Team Jacob and Team FLocke, Sayid will turn against the smoke monster and finally earn the redemption that has eluded him for so many years. Is this farfetched? Am I grasping at straws, hoping one of my favorite characters has not truly gone to the dark side? Possibly, but only time will tell! Namaste...

“Vanity Fair” Print Set by Scribe

Last Friday, the Silent Stage Gallery released the all new “Vanity Fair” print set by Kansas City artist Scribe. This release consists of two prints that feature mock Vanity Fair images with Scribe’s debonair characters in full Steampunk attire. They look pretty sick, don’t they!?!

Silent Stage Gallery x Scribe Vanity Fair Print Set
The “Vanity Fair” print set by Scribe is currently available for sale at Silent Stage Gallery’s online store under their “Collectibles” section. Each print in this set measures 8”x10” and was printed on 300gsm museum quality paper. Only 25 signed and numbered “Vanity Fair” print sets were created, and each set retails for $75. The Blot’s got a feeling these prints won’t last long, so if you’re a Scribe fan and want to add these prints to your collection you’d better act fast!

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - Harbin, China

On tonight’s episode of No Reservations, Tony heads to Harbin in China’s northeastern “Dongbei” area in the cold of winter - a season that defines the character of the Dongbei people and the nature of their cuisine. First up, Tony meets with his new friend Alan Wang to discuss the region, before heading into the ice-cold streets to eat pork belly and pork meatballs with local workers.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations on the Travel Channel
Tony then heads for the train station for a trip to Yabuli, a work in progress winter sports resort outside Harbin in the Changbai Mountain Range. Then it's back to the city to meet up with Dmitry, a Russian friend of Alan’s from nearby Vladivostok. The two have a meal of Russian fare at Around the World Russian restaurant and consume a mass amount of vodka. The next morning, Tony heads out for some ice fishing, which is not something I’d want to partake in after a long night of binge drinking!

To wrap up his visit to Harbin, Tony eats a big banquet meal at Lao Liu Sha Zhu Cai, which literally means “kill pig cuisine”. It is a reference to the Lunar New Year tradition of slaughtering a pig for the big holiday feast, and Sha Zhu Cai is the collective name for all the dishes that can be part of that feast, pig and otherwise. I don’t know about you, but this sounds like a pretty intense episode, and definitely not one to miss!

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations airs Monday nights at 10/9c on the Travel Channel.
