Nosferatu Screen Print by Peter Strain x Bottleneck Gallery

Today, Bottleneck Gallery is releasing a new alternative movie poster for the iconic film Nosferatu by artist Peter Strain. As BNG explained “1922’s Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror is a unique spin on vampires that serves as one of the earliest horror films and a touchstone for horror cinema. Peter’s print paints a ghastly portrait of Count Orlock, with a devilishly dark color palette, outlined in cute, but contagious, plague rats.”

Nosferatu by Peter Strain is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for $60, while the Variant is also limited to 75 and will retail for $60. Both colorways will also be available as an Acrylic Panel Print on a 4mm thick acrylic panel with archival pigment inks. Each is limited to just 15 pieces and will retail for $125. Nosferatu Screen Print by Chris Weston x Vice Press

Today, Vice Press will be releasing this killer new Nosferatu movie poster by artist Chris Weston. As Weston explained, “I’ve long been obsessed with Max Schreck’s extraordinary performance as Baron Orlok in F.W. Murnau’s classic silent movie, Nosferatu: Eine Symphonie des Grauens. This was the first –albeit unofficial – portrayal of Bram Stoker’s Dracula and I think it has yet to be surpassed.”

This is the first time GMA has worked with Sara, and she did a phenomenal job with this spooky classic. Nosferatu by Sara Deck is a 24”x36” hand numbered glow in the dark screen print. Limited to just 150 pieces, this movie poster will go on sale at 1pm EST tomorrow, Thursday, February 15th, at the Grey Matter Art online store for $45.

Nosferatu GID Screen Print by Chris Garofalo x Grey Matter Art

Grey Matter Art has teamed up with artist Chris Garofalo to release a new limited edition glow in the dark screen print for the classic 1922 horror film Nosferatu! As Garofalo explained about the print, “Nosferatu is a timeless classic, a captivating story wrapped in unsettling, yet beautiful imagery. It's nearly impossible NOT to be inspired visually and creatively by this film, and for me, it was all about the typography. I found something very unique and interesting about the shapes that the letters made, so I rolled with it and the end result is something I'm very proud of, both conceptually and technically.” And if you look really closely, you’ll see the glow in the dark layer has a nice little surprise in it!

Nosferatu by Chris Garofalo is a 24”x9” signed and numbered 3 color glow in the dark screen print. The Crypt Edition and Castle Edition are each limited to just 40 pieces and will retail for $25 per print. Both versions are scheduled to go on sale at 1pm EST tomorrow, Wednesday, April 27th, at the Grey Matter Art online store.

Nosferatu Screen Print by Timothy Pittides

Artist Timothy Pittides and Bottleneck Gallery are teaming up to release a killer new movie poster screen print for the iconic vampire film, Nosferatu! When talking about this exciting new movie poster, Pittides explained, “When I decided to tackle Nosferatu, I wanted to make sure that it was something different. There is so many great prints and posters done for the film that hit their mark. From Ken Taylor's beautiful art deco styled collage, Brandon Schaefer's artistically crafted creepiness to Christopher Cox's likeness driven design, artists have been paying a great tribute to arguably the greatest horror film ever made. I first started with making the vampire was represented, not just in likeness but in tone, taking the design on cover of the vampire book Hutter finds in his room at the inn.”

Nosferatu by Timothy Pittides is an 18”x24” hand numbered screen print. This design will be released in two very cool editions: Dawn and Dusk, both limited to just 40 pieces each and will retail for $35 each. The Dawn Edition is printed on French Speckletone Kraft paper, while the Dusk Edition is printed on French Carbon Copy Krafttone paper and features metallic silver ink. Timothy provided some really cool background info on the two editions: “I decided the film could be represented two different ways, the speckletone kraft being used for its antique look as well as the look of day scenes in the colorized version of the film and the carbon copy paper for its specks of browns and reds and of course representing the black and white of the original film. This two choices give people the choice on how they feel personally to the film.”

Both Nosferatu editions go on sale at noon EDT this Wednesday, September 2nd, at the Bottleneck Gallery online store.
