Deth P Sun originally painted the “Secret Histories Map of San Francisco” for the San Francisco Arts Commission for an exhibition that ran in the summer of 2009. There’s actually a really interesting explanation behind the map, which you can read here. This is by far one of the most detailed paintings I’ve seen Deth create, and I love all the history behind it!
