Later today, Mondo will be releasing its first ever poster by Seattle artist Wylie Beckert. It this stunning movie poster for Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange! As Mondo stated, “Working with an artist for the first time is always a bit of an adventure, and in this case, the results are gorgeous. Her disjointed, disorienting illustration fits the film perfectly. We couldn't be happier with how this turned out, we hope you like it too.”

Wylie went on to explain her process: “Most of the iconic visuals from the film come from its early scenes – Alex’s droog costume, the Korova Milk Bar, ultraviolence. I’ve always found the second half of the story more compelling, though: a post-Ludovico-Technique Alex tortured by all the things that once brought him joy and ill-equipped to fend for himself in a world that hasn’t been correspondingly reformed. To capture that feeling of helpless torment, I wanted to show Alex trapped in a spiraling orange peel of madness and debauchery.”

Today, Mondo teams up with artist Boris Pelcer to release a new movie poster for Stanley Kubrick's iconic film, A Clockwork Orange! Pelcer’s unsettling take on the film reminds us of how terrifying the film is, even if just below the surface.

As Boris explained, “Stanley Kubrick was notorious for not doing interviews. He wanted people to enjoy his movies, his art form, and connect with his work on a personal level. He did not want the viewers to be influenced by his description of what his movies are supposed to mean. He simply let his movies take on whatever meaning it had for the viewer. Likewise, rather than describing my interpretation of A Clockwork Orange, I want the poster to speak for itself and let the viewers connect with it without the influence of my words.”
