Fight Club Tyler Durden Resin Figure by WheresChappell

This week WheresChappell has put up for pre-sale another new figure in his fantastic line of pop culture inspired resin figures, which features some of The Blot’s favorite characters rocking classic sneakers (or shoes). WheresChappell’s newest figure is Brad Pitt’s Tyler Durden from the cult classic film (based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel) Fight Club! Tyler comes wearing his “sock it to me” short sleeve t-shirt, jeans and battered boots, and comes sporting a black eye, smoking a cigarette and holding a bottle of beer.

The Hundreds x Cool World Collection

The Hundreds x Cool World Collection

Even though The Hundreds has been teasing a collaboration with the 1992 live-action/animated movie Cool World for a few weeks, The Blot still thought it was all a ruse. No way The Hundreds was bringing back a beloved movie (by the few that saw it) that utterly flopped at the theaters. But hey, it did star Brad Pitt, Kim Basinger and Gabriel Byrne, and was directed by animation legend Ralph Bakshi. Sure enough, The Hundreds and Paramount Studios have teamed up to produce the Cool World Collection in honor of the groundbreaking film’s 20th Anniversary!

The Hundreds Cool World Collection - Basic Holli T-Shirt, Characters T-Shirt, Moon T-Shirt & Deebs Button Up Shirt

I honestly never thought I’d see the day… If you’re not familiar with the film I recommend seeing it at least once and you can read about its creation here and here. The Hundreds Cool World Collection includes t-shirts, stickers, a button up shirt, and a snapback hat featuring characters (like Basinger’s Holli Would) and designs from the film.

The Hundreds Cool World Collection - Moon Snapback Hat, Basic Holli Sticker, Moon Sticker & Character Sticker

All of the clothing and stickers seen here can be purchased at all The Hundreds flagship stores and The Hundreds online store now (while supplies last). The t-shirts come in multiple colors and sizes (S-XXL) and retail for $36 each, the button up shirt (sizes S-XXL) retails for $78, and the twill snapback hat retails for $32. All three The Hundreds x Cool World stickers retail for just $3.

Inglourious Basterds Character Movie Posters

Here’s what The Blot knows about Inglourious Basterds: it’s loosely (and I do mean loosely) based on a 1978 Italian war movie directed by Enzo Castellari, it was written and directed by the great Quentin Tarantino and it stars Brad Pitt. And that’s really about all I need to know to entice me to go see the movie on opening night.

I expect Inglourious Basterds to be very bloody, have a killer soundtrack, feature numerous pop culture references and have some ridiculously awesome catch phrases. But then what else would you expect from a Quentin Tarantino film?

Inglourious Basterds Character Movie Posters - Eli Roth as Sgt. Donnie Donowitz
For those of you actually interested in the film’s plot, Inglourious Basterds takes place during World War II and features a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" who are handpicked to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by a group of Nazi soldiers, the same Nazi soldiers who killed her parents. (link and link) Sounds good, doesn’t it? If you’d like to find out more about Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds click here.
