Super7 San Diego Grand Opening Party Tonight with a Mixed Parts Crystal Mecha Release

Tonight, Friday the 13th, Super7 will be hosting a grand opening party for its second retail location in San Diego, California! With so many designer art toy stores closing around the globe it’s awesome to see one of the industries’ preeminent toy producers reinvesting in the community by opening retail location. The southern California outpost of Super7 will open with a full selection of Super7’s classic toys, prints, and apparel, including the debut of the Mixed Parts Crystal Mecha vinyl figure! The Super7 San Diego retail location grand opening party starts is from 6:00pm – 10:00pm PDT at 701 8th Ave. at Ave G (the old 5 and a Dime location).

The Mixed Parts Crystal Mecha vinyl figure being released tonight at the Super7 San Diego grand opening features unpainted mixed-up colored vinyl parts cast in soft Japanese vinyl. Each figure stands 9” tall and will retail for $95. Any leftover pieces will be available later tonight at the Super7 online store at 7pm PDT.

SDCC 14 Exclusive “Bug Splatter” Crystal Mecha Vinyl Figure by Super7

The Blot recently got my hands on my very first Crystal Mecha vinyl figure by Super7 and Brian Flynn and it is a freaking beautiful piece of neo-kaiju (is that really a thing?). The San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive “Bug Splatter” Crystal Mecha has been cruising through space at ludicrous speeds, colliding with all kinds of interstellar insects flying in his path. Cast in grey, blue, black, and glow-in-the-dark drip vinyl with paint splattered details, The Blot really loves the “Bug Splatter” Crystal Mecha because of what a unique look it has. You just don’t see these types of releases from Super7 and they killed it!

The San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive “Bug Splatter” Chrystal Mecha Vinyl Figure will retail for $95 exclusively at the Super7 SDCC booth #4945.

“Destruction of Earth” Crystal Mecha by Super7

With the dreaded Crystal Mecha invasion imminent, the destruction of Earth is all but certain! After narrowly avoiding certain doom at the X-Hands of the Terror of Crystal Mecha, the colossal mecha-kaiju has returned intent on finishing the job. The “Destruction of Earth” Crystal-Mecha by Super7 is cast in opaque grey glitter soft Japanese vinyl and features metallic green, gun-metal black and light blue sprays. What’s really killer about this figure is its head is made from translucent vinyl with metallic silver and blue sprays.

The “Destruction of Earth” Crystal Mecha vinyl figure goes on sale at the Super7 online store this today, Thursday, April 3rd, at noon PDT for $95 each.

“Metallic Monster” Crystal Mecha by Super7

Powered by the crystalized core of a dying star and enslaved by the Immortal Space Emperor Phantos, Super7’s Crystal Mecha is flying through outer space to destroy our world! The Metallic Monster is cast in blazing red vinyl with black and metallic gold sprays, superheated and charred as he enters the atmosphere of the Earth, while his super dense crystal head is cast in translucent milky-white vinyl with soft metallic blue sprays.

After originally debuting at SDCC 2013, the second colorway of the Crystal Mecha goes on sale at the Super7 online store this Thursday, January 16th, at noon PST for $95 each.

SDCC 13 Exclusive “First Strike” Crystal-Mecha by Super7

Super7 always has some really big release at San Diego Comic-Con, including super rare colorways of popular S7 figures as well as the first release of all new toys. A little birdie told The Blot Super7 may be releasing up to 15 San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusive vinyl figures this summer, and to kick things off they’ve announced the long awaited debut of the Crystal-Mecha! Designed by Brian Flynn, Crystal-Mecha is a part of Super7’s new Destroy All Kaiju toy line of standard sized (approximately 9” tall) vintage inspired vinyl figures.

This mechanical monster was created to lead Immortal Space Emperor Phantos’ quest for galactic domination of the planet Earth! Crystal-Mecah features 7 points of articulation, a towering television torso, heavily armor plated tail, numerous rivets and spikes, and is powered by an arcane Gem - rumored to be sourced from the center of a dying star which now forms its head.

Cast in glossy black Japanese vinyl with a translucent orange crystal head, the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive “First Strike” Crystal-Mecah can be purchased from the Super7 SDCC booth #5245 for $95.
