Funko continues its crazy line of Domo Cosplay Pop! vinyl figures with a new wave of Ghostbusters themed figures! Funko has taken Domo-kun, the adorable open-mouthed ursine-like Japanese stop-motion television mascot, and dressed him up as characters from the iconic ‘80s comedy (that also just happens to be celebrating its 30th anniversary). Ghostbusters x Domo Pop! Series includes Ghostbusters Domo, Stay Puft Domo and Slimer Domo.

Each Domo x Ghostbusters Pop! vinyl figure stands 4” tall and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. While these figures aren’t expected to ship until the middle of February 2015, you can pre-order all three figures from Entertainment Earth for $9.99 each here.

SDCC 13 Exclusive DC Comics Pop! Vinyl Figures & Bobble Heads - DC x Domo, Man of Steel & Batman '66

Funko has four awesome DC Comics exclusives lined up for San Diego Comic-Con 2013! They include a Metallic Batman ’66 Wacky Wobbler Bobble Head, a Black Suit Superman Man of Steel Pop! and two DC Comics x Domo Pop! Vinyl Figures (Metallic Blue Suited Domo Batman and Domo Man of Steel). Even with just four exclusives there really is a little something for everyone! Collectors can purchase these limited edition Comic-Con exclusives directly from Funko at their SDCC booth #5343 while supplies last.

SDCC 13 Exclusive Caveman Domo Qee 2” Vinyl Figure by Toy2R & Dark Horse

Personally, The Blot doesn’t get the Domo obsession, but there’s no denying the popularity of this Japanese television mascot. Once again Dark Horse and Toy2R are teaming up to produce limited edition San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Domo Qee vinyl figure. For 2013 they’re releasing the Caveman Domo Qee, which stand 2” tall, has a limited edition run size of 1,200, and will retail exclusively at the Dark Horse Comics SDCC booth for $8.99.

DC Comics x Domo Mystery Minis Blind Box Mini Figure Series by Funko

If you liked Funko’s surprising new DC Universe x Domo Pop! Vinyl Figure Series, which features Domo-kun, the adorable open-mouthed ursine-like Japanese stop-motion television mascot, re-imagined as the DC Universe’s greatest heroes, then you’re really going to love their new DC Comics x Domo Blind Box Mini Figure Series! Expanding upon the Pop! line, the Domo x DC Universe Mystery Minis features 14 unique 2.5” Domo x DC Comics characters sold blind box style ($5.95). The line-up looks killer, and includes some really surprising designs like the “New 52” versions of Batman, Superman and Robin.

DC Comics x Domo Mystery Mini Series 1 includes Dark Knight Batman, Classic Batman, New 52 Batman, Classic Superman, Clark Kent, New 52 Superman, Classic Robin, New 52 Robin, Two-Face, The Riddler, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman and Shazam! There are a few noticeable omissions though (Wonder Woman, The Joker and Catwoman), so The Blot’s really hoping these do well and we get a second series of Domo x DC Mystery Minis sometime soon!

Each character design features its own ratio, with Classic Batman Domo a hard to find 1/72 and the Clark Kent Domo the rarest figure in the series with a ratio of 1/144! Each Domo x DC Universe Mystery Minis case includes 24 blind boxes, meaning there’s only one Clark Kent Domo in every master case of Mystery Minis! This is going to be one exciting (and hard to complete) blind box series for sure.

If you thought 2012 was a busy time for Funko wait til you get a look at all of the awesome releases they’ve already lined up for 2013! There doesn’t seem to be any indication they’ll be slowing down their release schedule any time soon. Not only that, but they’ve got even more wacky collaborations in store for us like this shocking DC Universe x Domo Pop! Vinyl Figure Series. The Blot had no idea this was in the works, and if I hadn’t seen it with my own two eyes I might not believe it!

SDCC 2010 Exclusive Hawaii Black Domo Qee

Dark Horse will be dropping a special limited edition Hawaii Black 2 inch Domo Qee at San Diego Comic-Con 2010! Domo fans are definitely not going to want to miss out on this Comic-Con exclusive.


The San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Hawaii Black 2” Domo Qee from Dark Horse has a limited edition run size of 2,000 pieces and will retail for $8.99 each.

2009 SDCC Exclusive Translucent Domo 2 Inch Qee

Dark Horse will be offering attendees of this year’s San Diego Comic Con the chance to grab a special exclusive variant of their upcoming series of Domo Qee vinyl figures. (link) The 2009 SDCC exclusive Domo Qee is a translucent variant produced in conjunction with Hong Kong based Toy2R. This SDCC exclusive 2” translucent version of Domo, the lovable mascot turned iconic viral superstar from Japan’s NHK television network, is the first figure from Dark Horse's new line of blind boxed Domo Qees to be released. The Domo Qee series, to be launched nationwide in August, is Dark Horse’s first try at the popular “blind box” or “mystery box” format. This special version will only be available directly from Dark Horse and Toy2R at the 2009 SDCC.


What separates this Domo Qee blind boxed series and other similar mini-figure blind box series is that each Domo Qee box contains one component of a “Build-A-Domo” clear transparent figure. When the correct six components are accumulated, the buyer can put together the pieces to complete the bonus figure. There will not be a “Build-A-Domo” component in the 2009 San Diego Comic Con exclusive Domo Qee.

The Blot knows everyone recognizes Domo either from his many internet videos clips or his new found celebrity status at Target, but you may be unfamiliar on where this furry lil monster came from.
