Today, Mark Nagata and Max Toy Company have released the newest colorway of the epic Gerald Okamura “Man of Many Weapons” soft vinyl figure! Inspired by the blockbuster Barbie movie (still in theaters), the “In a Barbie World” Edition Gerald is a super limited micro run of the Man of Many Weapons sporting a bright pink outfit with yellow shoes.

Tikumo Super Tiki Sumo Chrome Edition Vinyl Figures by Gerald Okamura

On Valentine’s Day, Gerald Okamura released the 16th, 17th, and 18th colorways of his popular Tikumo Super Tiki Sumo sofubi! These limited edition soft Japanese vinyl figures come covered in a brightly covered chrome and stand 4.5” tall.  This release is limited to just 15 pieces and will be sold blind bag style.  Collectors will either receive a Chrome Red (LE 6) Tikumo, a Chrome Gold (LE 3) Tikumo, or a Chrome Blue (LE 6) Tikumo. Each figure will come signed and numbered by the chrome artist, Riser13. These Chrome Editions of Tikumo went on sale on Tuesday, February 14th, at the following retail stores: Dr. Tongues, Galerie F, Toy Tokyo and Umi Toys Hawai’I.

On December 2nd, Gerald Okamura will be releasing the 15th colorway of his popular Tikumo Super Tiki Sumo sofubi! This limited edition soft Japanese vinyl figure stands 4.5” tall and features an all turquoise color scheme. Each figure will come signed and numbered by the paint artist, Mike and Tracy, and comes packaged in a bag with a header card, sticker, button and Sumo Dohyo.

This 15th Colorway of Tikumo will be released in conjunction with L.A. Comic Con on December 2, 2022 as well as at the following locations: Dr. Tongues, Galerie F, Q Pop Shop, Umi Toys Hawai’I, and Woot Bear.

On Sunday, January 6th, from 12:30-2:00pm the Japanese American National Museum will be hosting a very special Gerald Okamura x Max Toy Company event! It is a conversation with Kaiju vs Heroes artist Mark Nagata about his newest limited edition vinyl figure, the Master of Weapons, a homage to the character portrayed by martial artist and actor Gerald Okamura in the movie Big Trouble in Little Tokyo, and how this project can to fruition. To commemorate the event, Nagata and JANM will be releasing this beautiful Gold Edition Master of Weapons Gerald Okamura soft vinyl figure.

This wonderful Master of Weapons sofubi figure comes hand painted by Mark Nagata and is limited to just 45 pieces. What’s really cool about this event is that Gerald Okamura will be there as well!
