Kidrobot’s SDCC 2017 Exclusives Revealed!

Kidrobot has unveiled a killer line-up of San Diego Comic-Con 2017 exclusives, and The Blot is beyond thrilled to see not one but two SDCC exclusive Dunnys! It’s been a while since KR released a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive artist edition Dunny, and they couldn’t have picked a better design than the Gold Edition Wheel of Fortune 3” Dunny by J*RYU! This variant of one of J*RYU’s figures in the recently released Arcane Divination Dunny Series and will retail for just $14.99.

Kidrobot Unveils SDCC 16 Exclusive Screen Prints & Signings - Frank Kozik, Scott Tolleson & J*RYU

Kidrobot’s San Diego Comic-Con 2016 autograph signing schedule will feature Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator Kevin Eastman, Street Fighter creator Yoshinori Ono, and artists Frank Kozik, Scott Tolleson, and Jesse “J*RYU” Yu. All signings will take place at Kidrobot's SDCC booth #5645.

Frank Kozik, Scott Tolleson and J*RYU will also feature limited edition prints available for purchase at the KR booth. Each print will be limited to 500 pieces and commemorates an upcoming Kidrobot release by these three artists. Each print will retail for $20, but as a special San Diego Comic Con promotion the first 10 fans in line for each of their signings will receive a free screen print.

Scott Tolleson's upcoming The Odd Ones Dunny Series will be on display for the first time during his signing. J*RYU's print will reveal the contributing artists of the upcoming multi-artist Arcane Divination Dunny Series scheduled to release in 2017. Arcane Divination is Kidrobot's first multi-artist Dunny series since 2013 and it is curated by J*RYU.

Kidrobot First Look: It’s a F.A.D. 8” Dunny by J*RYU

It’s true what they say, you can’t keep a good Dunny design down! Nothing seems to be able to stop J*RYU’s epic “It’s a F.A.D.” design, not even cancellation. Originally created for Kidrobot’s now canceled Army of Snipers 3” Dunny Series, we now know (thanks to our friends at myplasticheart) that KR will be producing both 20” and 8” versions of this super intricate design!

Along with the previously announced all white 20” Dunny comes this beautiful brass colored with patina finish 8” production Dunny! There’ seven going to be a mystery chase variant. While it’s not expected to ship until Spring 2016, “It’s a F.A.D.” is now available for pre-order at myplasticheart.com for just $74.99. The 20” version is expected to ship in Fall 2015 and will retail for $449.99.

First Look at Kidrobot’s Upcoming Slate of 8” & 20” Dunnys by Ron English, J*RYU, Scott Tolleson & WuzOne

Thanks to our friends at myplasticheart, we now have our official first look at Kidrobot’s upcoming slate of 8” and 20” Dunnys! While KR has been teasing these four releases pretty hard over the past 6 weeks, this is the first time the designs have been seen in full. The most impressive of the four designs is without a doubt J*RYU’s breathtaking “It’s a F.A.D.” 20 inch Dunny! “It’s a F.A.D.” was originally designed as part of Kidrobot’s now canceled Army of Snipers 3” Dunny Series. Once that production series was discontinued, J*RYU took matters into his own hands and turned it into a seriously amazing custom 20” Dunny. Thankfully Kidrobot felt the same way and decided to produce the design as a 20” production Dunny. Expected to ship in Fall 2015, “It’s a F.A.D.” will retail for $449.99.

Releasing in August 2015 is the Pinocchio inspired “No Strings On Me” 8 inch Dunny by WuzOne! This is the super talented customizer’s first production Dunny and it’s about time. WuzOne has been killing it with his customs for years now. Based on a previously released 3” custom, this Disney themed design looks fantastic and will retail for just $59.99. Ron English fans should be very excited to learn that his classic Grin 3” Dunny (inspired by Disney’s Mickey Mouse) from Kidrobot’s Dunny Apocalypse Series will be given the 8” Dunny treatment this September 2015 when “Grin” is released for $74.99.

Last but certainly not least is the beautiful Imperial Lotus Dragon 8” Dunny by Scott Tolleson! Based on his design in the Dunny Evolved Series, this super detailed figure will ship in Fall 2015 and retail for $99.99. Is this piece stunning or what!?! While I am surprised Kidrobot chose to release so many previously produced designs, albeit now in a larger scale, I can’t imagine any collectors complaining. All four artists have huge followings and these Dunnys look killer! I just wish we had more time to save up for their releases.

DCon Exclusive J*RYU x Huck Gee Custom Skullhead 6” Resin Bust

Huck Gee is teaming up with J*RYU to release what is easily going to be one of the sickest releases of Designer Con 2014! J*RYU has taken Huck’s popular Skullhead Resin Bust and transformed it into an insane Dunny burial site. Looks amazing, right!?! There are only three of these 13” tall signed and numbered custom resin figures, and they will be sold exclusively at DCon booth #1113 for $550 each. Good luck scoring one of these beautiful pieces of art this weekend!

Invicta Duo Android Custom Vinyl Figures by J*RYU

J*RYU continues his awesome Invicta Series of custom Android vinyl figured with the “Invicta Duo”. This second series features a new ghost girl and new sculpting and design elements that differentiates it from J*RYU’s ultra rare first series of Invicta Androids.
