Kick-Ass 2 Character Movie Posters

The Blot is really disappointed in how few movie posters Universal has released for Kick-Ass 2 this summer. Thankfully they’ve got TV commercials running around the clock. Regardless, they have released this pretty cool Kick-Ass 2 character movie poster set featuring the film’s four main characters: Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kick-Ass, Chloe Grace Moretz as Hit-Girl, Mintz-Plasse as The Motherf@ucker, and the newest addition to the KA franchise, Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes! The Blot was really hoping for a Donald Faison as Dr. Gravity poster though.

While I haven’t seen it yet, if it is at all true to the comics then Kick-Ass 2 will be just as ultra violent as the original KA film. I actually really liked the original movie, especially Chloe Grace Moretz’ Hit-Girl. I’m especially interested in seeing how the addition of Jim Carrey to the franchise will work, especially after his recent comments about the film. I’ve got a feeling this film will really suit his acting chops.

2010 Summer Exclusive Kick-Ass Mez-Itz Super Bundle by Mezco Toyz

While we’ve known about Mezco Toyz’ upcoming Kick-Ass Mez-Itz vinyl figures for a while now (originally seen here), Mezco has finally announced they would be releasing these figures in a “Kick-Ass bundle” as one of the toy company’s 2010 summer exclusives.


The 2010 Summer Exclusive Kick-Ass Mez-Itz Bundle by Mezco Toyz includes four individually packaged figures: a 6” Kick-Ass Mez-Itz, a 6” Hit-Girl Mez-Itz, a 2” Kick-Ass Mini-Mez-Itz Key RingZ and a 2” Hit-Girl Mini-Mez-Itz Key RingZ…all for just $35.00! Collectors will be able to pre-order the Kick-Ass Super Bundle from the Mezco Toyz online store here starting June 11, 2010.


I believe this is the first release of Mezco’s new Mini-Mez-Itz Key RingZ, and I’m very interesting in seeing them in person. According to Mezco’s description of this new product, these Kick-Ass Mini-Mez-Itz Key RingZ feature five points of articulation and a sturdy key ring extending from their heads.

Kick-Ass Character Movie Posters Set 3

We’re less than two weeks away from the world premiere of Kick-Ass, and The Blot can’t wait! So far, the future looks bright for this lesser known comic book adaptation, as it continues to pile up positive reviews. If not for its R rating, Kick-Ass might have been Hollywood’s next great super hero franchise.



Base off of Kick-Ass’ final theatrical one sheet movie poster, comes the film’s third and final set of one sheet character movie posters. The film’s marketers seem to really be playing up this splatter effect in Kick-Ass’ promotional posters, and I think it does a great job tying the movie in to its comic book roots.



Kick-Ass, which debuts in theaters on April 16th, was directed by Matthew Vaughn and stars Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist, Chloe Grace Moretz as Hit-Girl, and Nicolas Cage as Big Daddy.

Kick-Ass Propaganda Movie Poster Set

A set of retro looking, propaganda-esque Kick-Ass movie posters were released last week at SXSW, and they look awesome! The marketing behind this movie has been top notch, and The Blot has yet to hear a negative review of the film. From all reports coming out of SXSW, Kick-Ass is as good as it looks, and I can’t wait to see it.



The Kick-Ass propaganda poster is a spoof of the classic "I Want You For U.S. Army" posters featuring Uncle Sam, while the Hit Girl poster is based on the World War II era “We Can Do It” poster featuring Rosie the Riveter. Anyone know what piece of propaganda the Red Mist’s poster is based on?



Kick-Ass is scheduled to premiere in theaters on April 16, 2010.

Kick-Ass Mez-Itz Vinyl Figures by Mezco Toyz - Toy Fair 2010 Sneak Peek

As far as The Blot can tell, these upcoming Kick-Ass Mez-Itz vinyl figures by Mezco Toyz are the first officially licensed action figures based on the upcoming live action movie adaptation of the popular comic book Kick-Ass. The film’s trailers look awesome and so do these Mez-Itz vinyl figures of Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl.


Thanks to ASMzine.com, The Blot is excited to give you this sneak peek of the upcoming 2 inch and 6 inch Kick-Ass Mez-Itz designer vinyl figures straight from Toy Fair 2010. No word yet on when either the 2” or 6” Kick-Ass Mez-Itz figures will go on sale, but as soon as an official announcement is released I’ll be sure to update The Blot Says…

The Final Kick-Ass One Sheet Movie Poster

The first official Kick-Ass theatrical one sheet movie poster has hit theaters worldwide, and it’s pretty freaking cool looking. If The Blot wasn’t afraid of coming off lame, I’d even go so far as to say the one sheet kicks ass! I love the way each character is splattered onto the poster and the look on Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s face is just priceless. Two Kick-Ass trailers have dropped so far, and every second of both trailers looks incredible. I seriously cannot wait to see this movie!


Kick-Ass opens April 16, 2010, and stars Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Grace Moretz, Mark Strong and Nicolas Cage.

Kick-Ass Character Movie Posters Set 2 Part II

As promised, here is Part II of the second set of Kick-Ass character one sheet movie posters. The Blot loves the marketing campaign for this comic book adaptation, but who knows if it’ll be good or not. Anytime Nicolas Cage shows up in a film’s credits The Blot gets very nervous. Cage doesn’t exactly have a sterling track record of picking blockbusters these past few years.

Kick-Ass Character Movie Posters Set 2

Here is the second set of character one sheet movie posters for the upcoming live action adaptation of the Mark Millar/John Romita, Jr. comic book, Kick-Ass. The Blot’s loved all of the marketing for Kick-Ass so far, and I just hope the film can live up to the hype building around the movie’s promo posters and trailers. In Matthew Vaughn we trust!?!

Kick-Ass Character Movie Posters and Trailer

The Blot has a confession…I’ve never read Kick-Ass, the popular creator-owned comic book from Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. But, I’ve heard it’s good and I’ll probably have to invest in some trades now that the live action movie adaptation directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse is coming to theaters in a few months.

These one sheet character movie posters look great, and I’m really digging the film’s first trailer that hit the internet a few days ago. I’d go into the comic book/movie’s plot, but I really don’t know much and I think the trailer about sums it up. Check it out and let me know what you think!
