Today, Bottleneck Gallery and artist Carlos Huante release this hauntingly beautiful new Alien / Prometheus inspired art print “Space Jockey”. As BNG explained, “Carlos’ print features an intricately detailed Space Jockey, a twisted combination of Xenomorph and Engineer. The lore from Alien has been slowly but consistently built out for decades, and we can’t get enough of the various Xenomorph incarnations and evolutions. Carlos’ print showcases the massive body of the Space Jockey, and we adore the haunting lighting and dark, somber tone of the piece.”

Space Jockey by Carlos Huante is a 24”x18” hand numbered fine art giclee print. Limited to 75 pieces, this movie poster goes on sale at 12pm ET on Wednesday, August 12th, at BottleneckGallery.com for $60. BNG is also releasing an Acrylic Panel Print Edition on a 4mm thick acrylic panel with archival pigment inks, which is limited to 25 pieces and will retail for $100.

Last week was an insane battle of the movie posters as just about every huge franchise released new teaser posters for their upcoming film. That included Alien: Covenant, which dropped this insane one sheet with about a million zenomorph aliens on it. Is this creepy as hell, or what!?! God I can’t wait to see this new Alien prequel (and Prometheus sequel) by Ridley Scott.

Prometheus “Creator of Men” Movie Poster Screen Print by Gabz x Grey Matter Art

Grey Matter Art, in partnership with Acme Archives and Dark Ink, is set to release this awesome new Prometheus movie poster by Gabz (aka Grzegorz Domaradzki)! Officially licensed by 20th Century Fox, The Blot is thrilled to see Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel finally get a little love. I think with the upcoming release of Ridley’s Alien: Covenant, fans of the iconic horror/sci-fi franchise will revisit and find a new appreciation for this still mysterious prequel.

As Gabz explained, “I've been a fan of Alien franchise since the very beginning and always enjoyed terrifying yet mesmerizing worlds created by Sir Ridley Scott, so I couldn’t be happier for having a chance to work on an officially licensed print for Prometheus. The idea for this poster struck me after re-watching it for the third time and I almost instantly started drawing. The idea was to depict Architect’s pale and godly profile with a human fetus inside his skull. Attentive viewer should be able to spot at least few references to xenomprph and H.R. Giger’s work that inspired “worlds scariest alien”. The title is “Creator of Men” or simply “Architect” and my intention was to yet again pay homage to Polish Poster School which is very close to my heart not just because of my origin.”

Prometheus by Gabz is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 225 pieces and will retail for $45, while the Variant is limited to 150 pieces and will retail for $60. Both versions will go on sale at 1pm EST on Wednesday, March 22nd, at the Grey Matter Art online store.

It seems the new trend these days is that every time an upcoming film releases a new trailer it also releases matching movie poster. Lately we’ve been getting all kinds of news and new footage for 20th Century Fox’s upcoming Alien prequel and Prometheus sequel, Alien: Covenant. To go along with the movie’s new introductory video and full length trailer comes this awesome “Hide” teaser movie poster. You can always cut the tension surrounding an xenomorph egg with a knife anytime there’s one on screen. It’s even worse when the characters actually know what they are!

I know fans of the Alien franchise freaked out yesterday when 20th Century Fox unexpectedly released this new one sheet teaser movie poster for Ridley Scott’s upcoming film Alien: Covenant!!! The sequel to 2012’s Prometheus is actually happening and will be released on May 19, 2017. The Blot’s just excited to see if this is more a sequel to Prometheus or a true prequel to Alien. Bridging the gap between those two films is a challenge in and of itself.

If you don’t know already, Prometheus by director Ridley Scott is the official prequel of the Alien franchise. Not only is Scott’s return to the franchise he started historic, but it looks like a pretty epic movie in its own right. This is the movie’s first full trailer, and it looks pretty fantastic in every way imaginable. So, if you haven’t seen it already, do yourself a favor and watch it immediately! Prometheus stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace and premieres in theaters on June 8th, 2012.

Prometheus Official Summary: In the distant future, two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system's natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team discovers an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers.

Alien Prequel “Prometheus” Trailer & One Sheet Movie Poster

I don’t know about you, but The Blot is beyond excited for Ridley Scott’s return to the Alien universe!!! There has been so much speculation and misdirection about Ridley’s new film Prometheus I don’t even know what’s true and what’s not true. The director even went so far as to deny any correlation between his newest film and his 1979 classic, Alien. But then he released this amazing trailer for next summer’s Prometheus and all was made clear (sort of). While no one knows exactly what the movie will be about, any Alien fan worth their weight in facehuggers can tell by watching the trailer that Prometheus is without a doubt a prequel to Ridley’s sci-fi classic. And that knowledge alone has The Blot so ready to head back into space.

Prometheus, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Patrick Wilson, Guy Pearce and Idris Elba, is scheduled to premiere in theaters worldwide on June 8, 2012.
