DC Comics' Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Television Poster

We’re still a few weeks away from the premiere of DC Comics’ Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 on The CW, but The Blot is pretty excited if for no other reason than the world debut of the JSA as part of the DCW TV universe. Season 1 was a little uneven, but I’m still interested in the show. It should be interesting to see how all of the changes to the cast will affect the team’s dynamics. Things can get a little cramp on Waverider.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 premieres on Thursday, October 13th, at 8/7c on The CW.

Legends of Tomorrow TV Series Pop! DC Comics Vinyl Figures by Funko

Over the past few years Funko has released a number of awesome Pop! vinyl figures based on The CW’s super popular DC Comics television universe, including characters from Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl! The Blot was excited to learn yesterday that Funko will be continuing its DCW Pop! line with a wave of figures based on the TV show Legends of Tomorrow just in time for the series’ second season. The Legends of Tomorrow Pop! Television Series includes The Atom, White Canary, Firestorm and Hawkman.

Each Legends of Tomorrow TV Series Pop! vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, has a rotating head and comes in a displayable window box. Collectors can pre-order these four DC Comics figures now at Entertainment Earth for $10.99 each here.

SDCC 16 Exclusive Legends of Tomorrow The Atom DC Comics LEGO Mini Figure

LEGO finally announced its second (of only two now?) free mini figures at San Diego Comic-Con 2016! The SDCC 2016 Exclusive The Atom LEGO Mini Figure is based on Brandon Routh’s character in the popular DC Comics television shows on The CW, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. Each figure comes with a removable helmet and a Palmer Tech baseplate.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Character Television Posters

This Thursday, January 21st, The CW will premiere its newest DC Comics television series set in the Arrowverse, Legends of Tomorrow! The Blot is super hyped about this show starring a new super hero team made up of heroes and villains from the DC Comics TV universe. Check out this killer character television poster set for the new show featuring the series’ entire cast, including newcomer Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), the White Canary (Caity Lotz), the Atom (Brandon Routh), Firestorm duo Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jax Jackson (Franz Drameh), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee).

There are a lot of reasons to love DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, but at the top of The Blot’s list is the that it marks the first time every that Rip Hunter (a.k.a. Booster Gold’s son) will appear in a live action television show. Add in my all-time favorite villain, the leader of the rouges Captain Cold, and you’ve got yourself an action packed line-up! DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will air Thursday nights on The CW at 8/7c.

ToyFair 1st Look: DC Comics Icons Action Figure Toy Line

For two months this spring DC Comics will be taken over by Convergence, a new comic book crossover that revisits popular characters, storylines and eras from DC Comics’ rich history. Spinning out of that crossover is DC Collectibles’ new “DC Comics Icons” action figure toy line, which will showcase classic characters and stories from the DC Universe featuring designs by artist Ivan Reis! The Blot is a huge DC Comics fan, and I am excited to see these old school characters released as modern 6” action figures. DC Collectibles gave the world its first look at this epic new toy line this weekend at Toy Fair 2015.

DC Comics Icons Wave 1 will be released in November/December of 2015 and includes pre-New 52 Batman, Crisis on Infinite Earths The Flash (Barry Allen) with the Cosmic Treadmill, The Longbow Hunter Green Arrow, Deadman, Earth 2 Mister Miracle and Black Adam.

DC Comics Icons Wave 2 will be released in December 2015 and includes New 52 Justice League member Lex Luthor, Blue Beetle Jaime Reyes, and pre-New 52 Green Lantern Hal Jordan.

DC Comics Icons Wave 3 will be released in February 2016 and includes pre-New 52 Superman with his robot Kelex, Aquaman with a trident, “First Appearance” Harley Quinn, and an Atom set with Atomica from the Crime Syndicate of America, midsize figure Ryan Choy and small figure Ray Palmer.

Each DC Comics Icons action figure stands 6 tall and will retail for $22.95 each. Collectors can pre-order all 13 figures now from Entertainment Earth here.

Arrow First Look: Brandon Routh as The Atom

From the moment it was announced that Brandon Routh was joining the cast of Arrow as Dr. Ray Palmer The Blot’s been anxiously awaiting the debut of Palmer’s alter ego, The Atom! Yesterday, DC Comics announced that day is almost here! On the February 25th episode of Arrow “Nanda Parbat”, Routh’s Palmer will finally suit up and turn into the microscopic hero. I had no idea how The CW was going to pull this off, but man that Atom suit actually looks pretty bad ass! Now if only they can make his shrinking power look realistic on the live action television show.
