A while ago, Alex Pardee made a painting called “The BackPack”, which was later turned into a killer resin figure. Well now that original The BackPack painting has been transformed into literally a backpack! How meta can you get!?! Fans of Pardee’s amazing artwork should definitely be visiting his SDCC booth #5502 this week and pick up one of these cute wearable plush backpacks for just $50. For those of us not attending Comic-Con this week, fret not! Alex promises this awesome BackPack backpack will me be made available online at his website at a later date after the convention.

Check out the official back story of the Icy Grape The BackPack: After years of searching, Back and Pack finally uncovered the last clue to their most prized treasure - The Grape of Wrath! In order to obtain this precious grape, they had to brave a severe ice storm and get to the highest peak in the land of YUX. Upon reaching the summit, the temperature plummeted and the duo had no choice but to seek shelter in a small cave. While resting, Pack smelled something odd and began digging deep into the cave. As he pulled the soil from the ground, a purple light emitted and there it was - THE LEGENDARY GRAPE OF WRATH!

Earlier today, Mighty Jaxx released the second colorway of Alex Pardee’s awesome The BackPack resin figure! Historians from the land of Yux believed that the coins from the legendary “Hidden Stash Of The Bogmen” were cursed, plaguing the keeper with a streak of bad luck. However, when best friends Back and Pack discovered these special coins while on a treasure hunt they gained the power of invisibility! Now thanks to those cursed coins we have the translucent Invisible Edition The BackPack resin figure.

Tomorrow, Mighty Jaxx will be releasing another epic new figure by Alex Pardee, The BackPack!!! How insane does this figure look!?! What’s amazing is how accurately Mighty Jaxx was able to transform Pardee’s two dimensional work into this full color 3D monstrosity. The BackPack looks practically perfect (and spot on to the original artwork) in every way. Limited to just 200 pieces, collectors can pick up this 8.5” resin figure tomorrow, October 29th, at the Mighty Jaxx online store for $120.

And here’s the awesome backstory of this exciting new figure: Two lonely treasure hunters, PACK & BACK, lived on opposite ends of the land of YUX, where they embarked separately on many quests in search of ancient artifacts scattered around the vibrant landscapes. However, both PACK & BACK also had their share of limitations by adventuring alone. PACK was obsessed with dirt and studying the different types of soil, deducting where buried treasures may lie, but lacked the strength and skill to dig. BACK, on the other hand, was strong and LOVED digging for treasure. He was obsessed with the dirt, too, but that’s because he liked EATING it!

One day, PACK & BACK crossed paths while scouring the shores of a poisonous bog, and unexpectedly became immediate friends after sharing their mutual love for dirt. It was from that point on, that the new best friends shared their skills and abilities with each other, forming…THE BACKPACK, the greatest treasure hunters in the land of Yux.
