The Losers Final One Sheet Movie Poster

After weeks of hype, The Losers finally premiers in theaters today! To mark this special occasion, The Blot is proud to share with all of you the film’s final one sheet movie poster. With both The Losers and Kick-Ass in theaters this weekend, my Saturday is set…I’ll be hitting up a live action comic book adaptation double header!


While Kick-Ass and The Losers are very different films, it’s probably a bad thing they were released in back-to-back weeks. I hope both films to do well, but I’ve got a feeling they’ll end up cannibalizing each other’s audiences over the weekend, which will end up crushing one of these films’ box office take. The reviews of The Losers have been pretty positive so far, but its rating on Rotten Tomatoes is only 43%. (link) Here’s hoping my violent Saturday lives up to the hype!

The Losers Character Movie Poster Set

We’re just a few weeks away from the world premiere of The Losers, and the movie’s marketing campaign has gone into overdrive. It seems like just yesterday I was excited for the unveiling of the film’s teaser trailer, and now the extended trailer is playing non-stop and new posters are showing up daily. Below are all six one sheet movie posters from The Losers’ character movie poster set. They’re not really anything special, but I do think they fit in well with the rest of the film’s marketing.




Each poster features a member of The Losers in an action pose, and I think some of the actors pull this look off a little better than others. The Losers stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Clay, Zoe Saldana as Aisha, Chris Evans as Jensen, Idris Elba as Roque, Columbus Short as Pooch, Óscar Jaenada as Cougar and Jason Patric as Max.




The Losers premieres on April 23, 2010 in theaters everywhere.

The Losers Teaser One Sheet Movie Poster

If you liked The Losers comic book inspired movie posters as much as The Blot did, then you’ll really love the film’s newest comic inspired one sheet. While not an exact reproduction of the comic book’s cover artwork, I see this latest poster as a homage to the series’ artist, Jock. It’s kind of a mix of the cover artwork to Issue #1 and Issue #13, and I think it came together really nicely.


I saw the trailer for The Losers for the first time on the big screen yesterday and it looked killer. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing this live action comic book adaptation in the theaters when it debuts on April 23, 2010. Here’s hoping it can live up to the Vertigo series it’s based on by Andy Diggle and Jock.

The Losers Comic Book Inspired One Sheet Movie Poster

The Blot loves how many comic book based movies are being green lit by Hollywood nowadays. What’s even better is the quality of the movies being produced. One of the comic book movies I’m looking forward to the most is The Losers, directed by Sylvain White. I really enjoyed the Vertigo monthly series by Andy Diggle and Jock, and can’t wait to see how it’s translated to the silver screen.


One of the coolest parts of the ad campaign for The Losers live action movie adaptation is that they took the cover artwork to The Losers #12 and adapted it into the movie promo poster above. Then they took it one step further by reproducing the comic’s artwork with the film’s actual cast. It was a killer idea that was executed to perfection. I seriously can’t believe no comic book themed movie had ever done this before!
