Last weekend at Designer Con 2014 MAD dropped this awesome set of “Modern Heroes” prints featuring a mash-up of MAD’s signature character, the Modern Hero, and Marvel’s The Avengers! This previously unannounced release is based on an epic series of paintings from MAD’s solo art show “Modern Heroes” that opened last month in Kansas City. Can The Blot just say how badly I want one of these Modern Hero x Marvel Comics paintings hanging on my walls!?!
The Designer Con 2014 Exclusive “Modern Heroes” Print Series includes four 17”x17” prints featuring the Modern Hero as Captain America, Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk and the Silver Surfer. Only 10 of these sets have been produced and they were sold exclusively at MAD’s DCon booth #604 for $100. If any sets are still available, I assume they will show up after the convention in MAD’s online store.
