Transformers Mini Prints by Tom Whalen x Acidfree Gallery

After a crazy long hiatus, the crew over at Acidfree Gallery is back and better than ever! For their first release of 2016 they’ve teamed up with artist Tom Whalen to release two awesome sets of Transformers mini prints featuring some of favorite Generation 1 characters! The Autobots set of five mini prints includes Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz, Prowl and Ratchet, while the Decepticons set includes Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave and Rumble. And here’s something really cool, 30 sets of Autobots prints will include a super limited Ironhide print, while and 30 sets of Decepticons prints will include a super limited Frenzy print.

Each Transformers giclee print measures 8”x8” and comes printed on Moab Natural Rag paper. The Autobots and Decepticon sets are limited to 100 sets and will retail for $50 per set, while Variant Sets (on Slickrock Metallic Silver paper) are limited to 50 sets and will retail for $65. There’s also a killer Metal Edition Variant of both sets limited to just 5 sets that will retail for $200.

There are two one of a kind extremely rare original Transformers sketches by Tom Whalen that will be randomly inserted into the metal print sets when they ship. These are 4”x4” graphite on Bristol board drawings of Optimus Prime and Megatron. My Little Pony “Sisters” Print by Camilla d'Errico

For its 2014 holiday release, Acidfree Gallery will be dropping its next My Little Pony print officially licensed by Hasbro, and it’s a truly beautiful “Sisters” design by Canadian artist Camilla d’Errico! For this print, Camilla has stunningly crafted a beautiful scene with six of your favorite ponies and some friends! If only The Blot knew more about My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Then I could actually explain more about who is featured in this stunning image.

Camilla d’Errico’s My Little Pony print “Sisters” will be available in three different limited editions. The Standard Edition is a 16”x20” giclee print limited to 175 pieces and will retail for $50. NYCC 14 Exclusive Transformers Print by Marcelo Matere

Acidfree Gallery unveiled its second New York Comic Con 2014 Transformer release, and it’s a pretty awesome print by former Transformers comic book artist Marcelo Matere! Matere’s design features the ultimate Transformers battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. This New York Comic Con 2014 Exclusive Transformers giclee print measures 18”x24” and comes in two hand numbered editions. The Standard Edition is limited to 250 pieces and retails for $50, while the Metallic Variant is limited to 75 pieces and reatils for $60. NYCC 14 Exclusive Voltron Lions Print Set by Tom Whalen

Acidfree Gallery’s next New York Comic Con 2014 exclusive is this awesome officially licensed Voltron Lions print set by Tom Whalen! What better way to celebrate Voltron’s 30th Anniversary than with killer mini-print set featuring each of Voltron’s five Lions!?! Artist Thong Le (Weaponix) has been commissioned to create 2 amazing Transformers G1 print sets featuring the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Each set consists of 5 iconic characters, either the Autobots (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Grimlock and Jazz) or the Decepticons (Megatron, Cyclonus, Shockwave, Soundwave and Starscream).

NYCC 14 Exclusive My Little Pony: Elements of Harmony Print Set by Michael De Pippo

Acidfree Gallery is heading to New York Comic Con 2014, and they’re bringing with them some amazing officially licensed prints! First up is this fun My Little Pony: Elements of Harmony print set by Michael De Pippo. De Pippo did an amazing job with this series, and The Blot loves how much emotion is conveyed with such simple designs. His use of beautiful typography and stunning images really captures the personality of every one of Hasbro’s beloved ponies! This officially licensed series highlights each pony and their specific element of harmony (Applejack: Honesty, Fluttershy: Kindness, Pinkie Pie: Laughter, Rainbow Dash: Loyalty, Rarity: Generosity, Twilight Sparkle: Magic).

Voltron 30th Anniversary Print by Vincent Aseo

Today, September 10, 2014, marks the official 30th Anniversary of Voltron’s debut on TV. To celebrate, Acidfree Gallery is releasing this beautiful Voltron 30th Anniversary Print by Vincent Aseo. What better way to celebrate the Lion Force Voltron turning 30 than with some awesome, super limited edition art.

Today at 12:30pm EDT, Acidfree Gallery will be dropping 3 different editions of Aseo’s Voltron 18”x24” hand numbered giclee print at the Acidfree Gallery online store. The Regular Edition is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $45, the Silver Metallic Variant is limited to just 50 pieces and will retail for $60, while Metal Variant is limited to just 10 pieces and will retail for $225.

Voltron Print by James White

Acidfree Gallery’s newest Voltron print drops this Friday and it was designed by the super talented James White! James’ dynamic take on Voltron: Defender of the Universe is filled with mind blowing colors, and features the entire Voltron team looking pretty freaking rad. I especially love the Kirby Krackle dotting the space landscape in the background of this design.

Voltron by James White is an 18”x24” print available in three different limited editions. The Regular Edition Giclee Print is limited to 200 pieces, comes hand numbered and will retail for $45. Optimus Prime & Megatron Transformers Prints by Jason Edmiston

Acidfree Gallery has unveiled their newest officially licensed Transformers prints and they’re by the super talented Jason Edmiston! To celebrate 30 amazing years of Transformers legacy this year, Acidfree Gallery commissioned Edmiston to create classic paintings of the Autobots’ fearless leader Optimus Prime and the Decepticons’ evil despot Megatron. These masterful prints depicting the two robot leaders were hand painted, digitally captured and printed by the amazing people over at GicleeToday.com. What’s really cool about this release is Acidfree Gallery is offering each print in paper, stretched canvas and metal editions!

“Optimus Prime” and “Megatron” by Jason Edmiston are 18”x24” limited edition numbered giclee prints. The standard paper edition prints are limited to 150 pieces each and will retail for $55 each (or as a set for $100). Limited edition stretched canvas giclee prints will also be available. Each stretched canvas giclee is limited to just 25 pieces and will retail for $150 each. Transformers 30th Anniversary Prints by Guido Guidi

If you ask The Blot, it’s been way too long since Acidfree Gallery has released one of their awesome officially licensed Transformers prints. At least now we know there was good reason for the long delay, Acidfree Gallery’s been preparing these sick Transformers 30th Anniversary prints by Italian comic book artist Guido Guidi!!! Guido is widely known in the world of Transformers for his comic book work and many other accolades related to Transformers, so he was the perfect choice to design these two Generation 1 matching prints.

Many of your favorite Autobots and Decepticons are portrayed in these 30th Anniversary prints in Guidi’s classic throwback retro style. The Transformers 30th Anniversary Standard Editions Prints will be professionally printed Giclee fine art prints, while the GID Variants will be screen prints featuring glow in the dark and black metallic ink. The second print in Acidfree Gallery’s awesome Voltron Screen Print Series drops today and it’s by one of The Blot’s favorite artists, Dave Perillo! This officially licensed Voltron giclee print is so freaking adorable how can you not pick one up!?! “Voltron: Our Key To Victory!” is an 18”x24” print that will be released in three different editions: the standard edition giclee print, canvas print and stretched canvas print. All three go on sale at 12:30pm EST today, Thursday, January 23rd, at the Acidfree Gallery online store.

The Blot keeps waiting for the big resurgence in Voltron’s popularity but for some reason it never really happens. It’s the one big ‘80s property that hasn’t made a comeback yet. Acid Free Gallery is releasing 10 amazing, officially licensed screen prints exclusively at New York Comic Con 2013! My favorite of the bunch is this beautiful G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero print by Tom Whalen, which is based on my all time favorite ‘80s cartoon of the same name. Seriously, is there anything better than Hasbro’s RAH cartoon? This print has it all, Duke, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Cobra Commander, Destro, The Baroness and Major Blood. It’s even got the OG Gung Ho in it. The only thing it’s missing? Shipwreck with his bird Polly! Ok, and maybe Zartan. Either way, this is definitely one of The Blot's must gets from NYCC 2013.

Acid Free Gallery is releasing 10 amazing, officially licensed screen prints exclusively at New York Comic Con 2013! First up is this awesome pair of Transformers prints by Tim Doyle, one featuring a boat load of Autobots while the other features more Decepticons than you can shake a stick at. Combined these two prints look like a serious battle is about to break out! The Blot loves Doyle’s work, and I love images like this that are just filled to the brim with characters, many of which you probably won’t see again in a Transformers screen print.

Transformers: The Movie Screen Print by Tom Whalen

The Blot will never tire of Transformers: The Movie screen prints! Now I’m not talking about that live action abomination of a film that Michael Bay directed, I’m talking the epic ‘80s animated film entitled Transformers: The Movie. For Acidfree Gallery’s newest release Tom Whalen has designed an awesome movie poster featuring the central characters from the film. What I love about this print is that it doesn’t feature the same old Transfromers like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock and Megatron. Instead it features what I like to refer to as the second wave of TF Generation 1, including Rodimus Prime, Kup, Arcee, Ultra Magnus, Wreck-Gar and Galvitron. It’s even got Daniel Witwicky in his Transformers exosuit! This print is all kinds of perfect.

Transformers: The Movie by Tom Whalen is a 24”x36” 7 color screen print and will be available for purchase through the Acidfree Gallery online store at 12:30pm EST on Thursday, August 29th. The Standard Edition is a timed release that will be available for just three days (August 29-31) for $50. Its run size will be set by the number orders placed during that 3 window and each print will come hand numbered. The Variant features metallic inks, will come signed and numbered by the artist, has a limited edition run size of just 86 pieces, and can be purchased for $75 each.

“Devastator” Transformers Screen Print by Laurent Durieux

Acid Free Gallery announced the newest print in their officially licensed Transformers Print Series and it looks crazy good! “Devastator” by Laurent Durieux features Hasbro’s most popular (and first) Generation 1 combiner team the Constructicons as their combiner Devastator in all his green and purple glory! What The Blot didn’t realize when Acidfree released Durieux’ Soundwave print back in May was that it was the first in a new two piece Transformers diptych. So Durieux’ Soundwave print actually combines with today’s print of combiner Devastator (see what I did there!?!).

If you thought the Acid Free Gallery’s Wizard World Philadelphia Exclusive Voltron screen print by Tom Whalen is awesome just wait til you see Acid Free Gallery’s WW Philadelphia Comic Con Exclusive Transformers screen prints produced in conjunction with Hasbro!!! Acid Free is seriously bringing their A game this weekend with three epic G1 Transformers prints by three super popular (and talented) artists. First up is “Dinobots” by Kevin Tong featuring the Grimlock and his team of fierce Autobot warriors!! Tom Whalen has created the absolute perfect companion piece to his previously released “Autobot Invitational” Transformers print!!! Once again Whalen is focusing on the vehicle modes of classic Generation 1 Transformers, but this time it’s all evil Decepticon Seekers.
