“Comic Commie” Evel Fett Vinyl Figure by Retro Outlaw Studios

Last weekend at Stan Lee`s Comikaze, Retro Outlaw Studios unveiled the third colorway of their popular Evel Fett vinyl figures! The “Comic Commie” Edition Evel Fett is a mash-up of Star Wars' Boba Fett and Evel Knievel, sports a red and yellow color scheme based on the old Soviet Union flag, and features the hammer and sickle logo on its back. I do love the juxtaposition between Comikaze and “Comic Commie”. That’s some stellar planning by the guys behind Retro Outlaw Studios!

Produced by 3D Retro, the “Comic Commie” Evel Fett stands 12” tall, is limited to just 80 pieces and retails for $150 each. The Blot hasn’t gotten to see this awesome figure in person yet, but I can’t wait to add at least one to my collection.

SDCC 13 First Look: Stan Lee Masters of the Universe Action Figure

At San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Mattel announced a new partnership with Stan Lee and POW Entertainment! For their first joint release Mattel is creating a limited edition Masters of the Universe action figure based on Stan “The Man” Lee! Watch out He-Man, Stan Lee is coming to Eternia as the all new Standar! Standar will first be offered at Stan Lee’s Comicazi convention in Los Angeles (November 1-3, 2013) and then available on MattyCollector.com for just $25. Each Standor MOTU action figure comes with Stan Lee’s signature aviator sunglasses and a really bad ass Masters of the Universe style spikey helmet. The Blot’s doesn’t collect MOTU, but I will definitely be picking up this one!
