“MM Doom 2” Mickey Mouse x MF Doom T-Shirt by Lightsleepers

“MM Doom 2” Mickey Mouse x Disney x MF Doom x DangerDoom T-Shirt by Lightsleepers

MM Doom – Lightsleepers’ killer mash-up of rapper MF Doom with Disney’s Mickey Mouse – is back as a new take on a classic Lightsleepers tee! When Mickey is not making kids smile, at night he dawns the Metal Mask and hood to rock the house. For this second version of MM Doom, the mouse is hooded, metal, and ready to roll!

The “MM Doom 2” Mickey Mouse x MF Doom T-Shirt is printed on black tee, and can be purchased now at the Lightsleepers online store, in sizes S-3XL, for $30.

SDCC 14 Exclusive “MM Doom” Disney x MF Doom x DangerDoom T-Shirt by Lightsleepers

San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive “MM Doom” Disney x MF Doom x DangerDoom T-Shirt by Lightsleepers

The Lightsleepers crew will be traveling across the pond from Hawaii to California to take part in the greatest pop culture extravaganza in the world, San Diego Comic-Con 2014! They’ll be bringing with them a number of Comic-Con exclusive designs, including this epic “MM Doom” t-shirt that mashes up Disney’s Mickey Mouse (sporting Nike SBs) with the original rap villain Vicktor Vaughn (aka MF Doom), which also just happens to recreate the DangerDoom logo from Doom’s collaboration with producer Danger Mouse. This tee has The Blot written all over it! I freaking love this design of MM Doom, the metal masked mouse villain, and will be ordering one ASAP.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Disney x MF Doom x DangerDoom t-shirt “MM Doom” by Lightsleepers will be sold exclusively at the Hyperactive Monkey SDCC booth #5640. For those of us unable to attend SDCC, a limited number of these tees are currently available for pre-order at the Lightsleepers online store (in sizes S-3XL) for $32.

Guess Who's Back?

Cee-Lo

No, its not Shady, its the “It” artists of 2006 are back with their sophomore album and hopefully its sound will be as eclectic poppy as their debut album St. Elsewhere. If you haven’t yet guessed who I’m referring to, its Gnarls Barkley, the musical collaboration of producer Danger Mouse and singer/rapper Cee-Lo Green who are best known for their 2006 summer hit “Crazy.” St. Elsewhere was my favorite album of 2006 and I have been waiting anxiously for their next album, The Odd Couple.

Gnarls Barkley - The Odd Couple
Danger Mouse

I first learned of Danger Mouse’s incredible skills as a producer after reading about and downloading his unauthorized mash-up album The Grey Album, which mixed Jay-Z’s Black Album with the Beatles’ White Album. I then rushed out and purchased his collaboration with rapper Jemini, Ghetto Pop Life, which is by far my favorite album of DM's. If you haven’t heard either of these two albums I highly recommend purchasing them along with The Mouse and The Mask, an album made with rapper MF Doom released under the name DANGERDOOM. Pretty much everything Danger Mouse touches turns gold, including his production on two different Damon Albarn projects: The Gorillaz’ Demon Days and The Good, The Bad & The Queen’s self-titled debut. Any of these albums would be a worthy addition to your collection of music.

Gnarls Barkley

I know the hype is starting a little early since you can't purchase Gnarls Barkley’s The Odd Couple until April 8th, 2008, but songs off of the album have already hit the internet. For those of you interested in hearing/downloading the first leaked song from The Odd Couple do a quick google search for "Gnarls Barkley - Run" (and let me know what you think).
