First Look: Reindeer Games III: Rise of Rudolph Holiday Dunny 3” Vinyl Figure by Frank Kozik x Kidrobot

Every holiday season The Blot really looks forward to a new Christmas themed 3” Dunny from Kidrobot! There have been some really awesome releases over the years, many designed by KR’s current Creative Director, Frank Kozik. For the Holiday 2016 release, Kidrobot has turned to Kozik one more time to release Reindeer Games III: Rise of Rudolph! This 3” Dunny will definitely be getting coal in his stocking. As this is our first look at this exciting new release scheduled to release later this fall, what do all the Dunny collectors think of Frank’s new design?

The Rise of the Rudolph Dunny comes with antlers, a Santa's hat, a whip and a bottle of liquid courage. Collectors can pre-order the 2016 Holiday Dunny vinyl figure now at Entertainment Earth for $14.99 here. Fingers crossed there’s a mystery chase thrown in the mix!

Grumpy Elf Holiday 3” Dunny by Frank Kozik x Kidrobot

After taking a year hiatus, Kidrobot’s annual Holiday 3” Dunny release is back and better than ever! This little toymaker is going on strike to cast light on the plight of the elves that make all those wonderful toys for good girls and boys. HolidAPE 3” Holiday Dunny by MAD

Each year Kidrobot produces a limited edition Dunny (or ‘Bot) to commemorate the holiday season. This year Kidrobot is going old school by bringing back MAD’s popular “MAD Ape” Dunny design, but with a Christmas and Hanukkah twist! While normally The Blot detests the recycling of old Dunny designs, how can I say no to more MAD Apes? I’m not ashamed to flip flop when it fits my particular toy collecting tastes! Plus, I never thought I’d see the day when a Dunny design included a menorah and a dreidel. It does my heart proud! Now here’s hoping the chase Hanukkah HolidAPE isn’t impossible to find.

Crusty 3” Holiday Dunny by Frank Kozik

With a cigarette, carrot nose, two eyes made out of coal, and a LOT of yellow snow, Crusty Dunny is sure to get you smorkin’ for 2011’s holiday season. This 3 inch vinyl heathen is getting into the spirit with a top hat, carrot nose, booze bottle and cigarette. And, given the changes in the world, it is no wonder that this Dunny has a chase that is disappearing fast… a hapless victim of global warming!

There was a time The Blot would get really excited for Kidrobot’s 3” Holiday Dunny, but it’s starting to feel like this particular yearly release has run its course. I still enjoy seeing different artists’ take on classic holiday characters, but are there not enough winter and/or holiday themed characters to go around? We’ve already gotten two Santa Clause Holiday Dunnys and now our second Snowman Dunny. What’s on tap for next year, a new Gingerbread Dunny?

Crusty by Frank Kozik comes out to play tomorrow, November 3rd, at Kidrobot stores, Kidrobot.com and select retailers, and can be purchased for $11.95 per blind box. 1 in 6 has suffered at the hands of the CCC (Climate Change Conspiracy), with a vinyl puddle for a body and x’s for eyes.

The Burglars 2010 Holiday Dunnys by Saner

Popular Mexican artist Saner’s deviant duo celebrates this holiday season Bonnie and Clyde-style. Main man Santa Barbaja wields Saner’s iconic skull-faced grin masked by a removable flocked beard, wears a fabric hat and carries a reindeer skull impaled on a staff. He is chased by fellow felon Burglarcillo, who boasts his own fabric hat and gingerbread man.

The Blot’s been dying to know what Kidrobot’s 2010 Holiday Dunny would be, and the designer toy company definitely did not disappoint with these two figures designed by Saner! Santa Barbaja has a ratio of 5/6, while Burglarcillo has a ratio of 1/6. The blind boxed Burglars Holiday Dunnys retail for $14.95 and will be available for purchase at all Kidrobot locations, Kidrobot.com and select retailers starting November 18.

T.W.O.C. the Elf 2009 Holiday Dunny Chase by TADO

The 2009 Holiday Dunny, Krunk-a-Claus by TADO, is finally here. From what The Blot’s heard, a lot of stores didn’t receive their shipment of Krunk-a-Claus 3" Dunnys last week because of Veteran’s Day. But thankfully TADO’s Holiday Dunny is now in stock at most stores, and we now know what its 1 in 10 chase, the evil T.W.O.C. the Elf, looks like!


No word yet on whether or not there is a rarer 3rd chase, but it sounds like T.W.O.C. the Evil Elf has been pretty easy to find even with its 1:10 ratio. I was surprised to learn that T.W.O.C. (which I can only guess stands for “Taking Without Owner’s Consent”) has elfin ears instead of classic Dunny ears like almost every other production Dunny released to date. The Dunny’s ears personify its signature look, and I was shocked to find out Kidrobot replaced them on its 2009 Holiday Dunny chase.

Krunk-A-Claus 3 Inch Holiday Dunny by TADO

Kidrobot’s 2009 Holiday Dunny is almost here! Get in the Yuletide spirit a little early this November with TADO’s 3” Krunk-A-Clause Dunny. With a bottle of ‘nog and an ice cream cone, the jolly Krunk is the gift that keeps on giving. But watch out for the crowbar wielding, holiday hating chase!

Kidrobot - Reindeer Dunny by Chuckboy

Kidrobot’s 4th annual holiday 3 inch Dunny comes out today, and to be honest The Blot is not really feeling this year’s figure. Designed by Chuckboy, the 3” doe-eyed deviant Reindeer Dunny rewards nice kids with his removable bull whip and vinyl antlers. While the Dunny its self is just ok, the figure's accessories are awesome. What could have made this figure so much cooler is if the Reindeer had been flocked. Who wouldn’t want a cuddly, furry Reindeer to add to their Dunny collection!?!


The Reindeer Dunny is blind boxed and there are two variant figures for those of us lucky enough to find them. One of the chase figures has been confirmed to be a lighter colored Reindeer that comes with a spiked paddle that reads Santa backwards instead of the common figure’s bull whip. No news yet on the design of the extremely rare 3rd Reindeer chase figure.
