MondoCon 2019 Exclusive Apparel by Jay Shaw, Boneface, The Skips & Mondo

As we inch ever so closer to MondoCon 2019, Mondo continues to slowly unveil its diverse line-up of MondoCon 5 exclusives! Next up is an exclusive apparel collection inspired by Video Vortex. Are you ready to step inside the Vortex!?! Check out the “Rewinid Your Mind” T-Shirt by Jay Shaw and “Acid Override” T-Shirt by Boneface. There’s also a really cool, single sided hand carved “Mutant Power Alliance” keychain on semi-transparent neon red plastic created in Japan by The Skips.

DC’s Young Animal Screen Print Series by Mondo, Tula Lotay, Matt Taylor, Rosemary Valero-O’Connell & Jay Shaw – A Thought Bubble 2017 Exclusive!

Next week Mondo will be heading over to the UK where they will be exhibiting at Thought Bubble 2017. Mondo will be bringing with them some awesome Thought Bubble exclusives, including this epic new line of DC’s Young Animal Screen Print Series! To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Gerard Way’s DC Comics Young Animal imprint, Mondo teamed up with DC Comics to curate variant cover artwork for the imprint’s four core titles. Those covers are now being released as officially licensed screen prints at Thought Bubble!

The DC’s Young Animal Screen Print Series includes Doom Patrol by Tula Lotay, Shade the Changing Girl by Matt Taylor, Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye by Rosemary Valero-O’Connell and Mother Panic by Jay Shaw. The Blot seriously wants all five prints!!!

All four Young Animal hand numbered screen prints by Mondo x DC Comics measure 18”x24”, are limited to 175 pieces and will retail for £40 at the Mondo Thought Bubble booth. The Shade the Changing Girl Variant Edition poster is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for £50.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Soundtrack 2xLP Vinyl Record by Mondo x Sam Smith x Jay Shaw

Mondo has followed up its popular release of the Twin Peaks original score on vinyl with the release of the original motion picture soundtrack for Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me on vinyl!!! As Mondo explains, “Fire Walk With Me is an altogether more brooding affair than the Twin Peaks series soundtrack. Angelo Badalamenti won a Grammy for the title track of this LP and it’s not hard to see why; it’s dangerous, dark and bristling with smoky jazz so thick you can barely breathe. We went back to the master tapes in the Warner Archives and had this recut to fit across two LPs as the score clocks in at 51 minutes. It sounds incredible and punchy, but super nuanced, too.”

The Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2xLP comes housed inside a 425gsm gatefold sleeve housed inside a bespoke black die cut outer jacket with black spot varnish finish, complete with obi strip featuring sleeve notes by film critic Mark Kermode (approved by David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti). The artwork for this release was designed by Sam Smith, while the layout and design was by Jay Shaw. The soundtrack is pressed on two 180g “Cherry Pie” colored vinyl records.

Idiocracy 10th Anniversary T-Shirt by Jay Shaw x Mondo

In 2006, satirist Mike Judge told of an impossible future in which our collective intelligence had dropped so low it threatened to destroy the world. Over the past year, however, thousands have questioned in social media whether Idiocracy was actually a documentary. In ten short years, the hilarious but sadly prescient film has transcended its cult classic status to become a vibrant and essential facet of this election conversation.

To commemorate the film’s 10th Anniversary, and the 2016 US presidential election, Mondo has released this fantastic Idicoracy t-shirt by Jay Shaw! A portion of the proceeds from tee will be donated to local League of Women Voters chapters to support their non-partisan efforts to register and educate voters. Twin Peaks Original Score LP Vinyl Record by Mondo x Sam Smith x Jay Shaw

It’s finally here!!! Mondo announced yesterday that they would be releasing the original score to one of The Blot’s all time favorite television series, Twin Peaks!!! Thanks to Mondo one of the greatest scores ever recorded is finally back in print for the first time in 25 years. For this very special release, Mondo went back to the Warner archives where engineer Tal Miller cut them brand new vinyl masters. As Mondo explained, the packaging for this release “is really handsome: it's minimal, understated and (best of all) approved by both David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti, which is absolutely thrilling for us.”

The Twin Peaks Original Score LP comes housed inside a 425gsm gatefold sleeve featuring lyrics and liner notes by composer Angelo Badalamenti. The cover image is by Sam Smith, and the gatefold sleeve is then housed within a bespoke die cut outer jacket designed by Jay Shaw featuring super subtle white spot varnish text. The whole affair is finished with a top loading obi strip and pressed on 180 gram “Damn Fine Coffee” colored vinyl. Sounds amazing don’t you think!?! This is without a doubt a must get for The Blot!

The Twin Peaks Original Score LP goes on sale at 12pm CST tomorrow, Wednesday, August 10th, at the Mondo online store for $23. Also, Mondo listened to fans’ concerns about availability, so they pressed only one version of this record. This means no limited variants, but it also means nobody should miss out on getting this reissue!

Mondo is not messing around this year at San Diego Comic-Con! They just keep unveiling more and more killer exclusives. Tuesday, April 26th is “Alien Day” and Mondo is celebrating big time with a killer line-up of Alien screen prints, vinyl records, apparel, pins and patches. Mondo's 75 Years of Batman: Part 3 On Sale Info!

Later today Mondo will be releasing its third batch of prints from their “75 Years of Batman” group art show! This epic gallery show celebrates the 75th anniversary of the first publication of a Batman comic book by DC Comics. The theme of 75 Years of Batman: Part 3 is movies, with all of these prints inspired by the Dark Knight’s many appearances on the big screen. This final wave of Batman prints includes designs by Kevin Tong, Craig Drake, Phantom City Creative, Jay Shaw, DKNG and Jason Edmiston. All of the prints seen here will go on sale at a random time today, Thursday, November 20th, at the Mondo online store.

The 2012 Academy Awards Movie Screen Print Series by Mondo

Sunday night Mondo will be releasing a very special series of prints in honor of the 2012 Academy Awards. Mondo has picked four Academy Award nominated films and paired them with four equally talented artists. There’s Hugo by Kevin Tong, Rango by Tom Whalen, Bullhead by Jay Shaw and Bridesmaids by Dave Perillo. Each movie poster for an Academy Award nominated film will go on sale at a random time throughout live televised event on Sunday, February 26th.
