Tomenosuke has released the first fully painted colorway of Doktor A’s awesome Mechtorian Sofubi, Thomas Nosuke! The Morbius Edition was cast in soft Japanese vinyl and features a red jacket. This 8” figure features multiple points of articulation, is limited to 40 pieces, and comes packaged in a vintage style box. It can be purchased now at the Tomenosuke online store for around $161.

This Friday 3DRetro will release their retailer exclusive colorway of Doktor A’s awesome Thomas Nosuke sofubi! Produced by Tomenosuke, the 3DRetro Exclusive Altaire Edition Thomas Nosuke was cast in translucent black soft Japanese vinyl with a ton of silver glitter and silver spray. This 8” figure features multiple points of articulation and is limited to just 30 pieces. What makes this release extra special is that it comes packaged in a beautiful, vintage styled box modelled after early Japanese tin toy robots. This Saturday, Tomenosuke will be releasing the newest colorway of Doktor A’s awesome Mechtorian Sofubi, Thomas Nosuke! Check out the glow in the dark Id Edition Thomas Nosuke, which features a double wall of soft Japanese vinyl. For this special glow in the dark effect, the Id Thomas Nosuke features a crystal clear outer vinyl layer with a GID inner pour of vinyl. This vibrant new edition will go on sale at 23:59 JDT on Saturday, April 27th, at the Tomenosuke online store. This limited edition 8” figure features multiple points of articulation, includes a space pistol accessory and will retail for around $125.

Thomas Nosuke Tiffany Blue Edition Vinyl Figure by Doktor A x Tomenosuke

Here’s some super exciting news from Doktor A – he has teamed up with Tomenosuke to release his very first Japanese produced Mechtorian vinyl figure!!! Meet Thomas Nosuke as he boldly explores new realms bounding in the low gravity across exciting, uncharted worlds. The Thomas Nosuke sofubi, which has a very Forbidden Planet vibe to it, looks very much like a mix between alien and Mechtorian.

For its first colorway, Thomas Nosuke is being released in a beautiful unpainted Tiffany Blue Edition. Limited to just 40 pieces, only 30 will be sold online exclusively at the Tomenosuke online store at 11:59pm JST on Saturday, March 23rd. Each figure will include a bonus resin space pistol inspired by the one seen in the 1956 sci-fi classic, Forbidden Planet, which Thomas can actually hold. Fans of soft Japanese vinyl will definitely not want to miss out on this release!

But that’s not all! Doktor A and Tomenosuke have already planned out the next two colorways of Thomas Nosuke. There will be a different edition released the next two weeks, with the exact color of each release a surprise announced the day before the figure drops. Tiffany Blue drops on March 23rd, while the second edition will be released on March 30th and the third colorway released on April 6th.

After two unpainted releases, we are finally getting a fully painted version of Tara McPherson’s epic sofubi, Stella & Flux! Produced by T+CP (Tomenosuke and Circus Posterus), the first painted colorway is this beautiful Infrared Edition Stella & Flux.

Physical anomalies, structural aberrations, the mental being manifested physically. Stella & Flux Debut Blank Green Edition Vinyl Figure by Tara McPherson x Circus Posterus x Tomenosuke

The Blot is sooooo mad I missed out on this one yesterday! After being on display at Designer Con 2017 earlier this year, Circus Posterus and Tomenosuke held a surprise debut release of Tara McPherson’s beautiful new sofubi figure, Stella and Flux, on Thursday, November 30th! Tara has been working with CP+T for over three years on this amazing soft Japaense vinyl figure, and it was totally worth all their amazing hard work. Just look at this fantastic figure.

For the debut release of Stella and Flux, CP+T have released a shared Unpainted Blank Green Edition. Limited to just 40 pieces, Tomenosuke is releasing 20 Stella and Flux figures in Japan, while Circus Posterus is releasing 20 Stella and Flux figures in the US for $100. Sadly, this 8.75” figure sold out almost immediately upon release by CP. But The Blot can’t wait to see the first painted release of Stella and Flux soon!

DCon First Look: Stella & Flux Vinyl Figure by Tara McPherson x Tomenosuke x Circus Posterus

Thanks to Brandt Peters for posing on his Instagram page the world’s first photo of Tara McPherson’s upcoming sofubi figure Stella and Flux!!! This soft Japanese vinyl test pull was on display this past weekend at Circus Posterus’ Designer Con 2017 booth. It is being produced by T+CP (aka Tomenosuke and Circus Posterus) and stands around 12” tall. How awesome is that!?! This figure has been 3 years in the making and is going to be sooo worth all the hard work. The Blot can’t wait to add one of these to my collection!

Zombie Stingy Jack Vinyl Figure by Brandt Peters

Last weekend Bewitching VI: An Annual Halloween Group Exhibition opened at Stranger Factory. One of The Blot’s favorite pieces in the group show was this custom Zombie Stingy Jack vinyl figure by Brandt Peters! Cast in clear and opaque soft Japanese vinyl, Zombie Stingy has a some really cool effects with clear hands, pumpkins stem and hat. According to Brandt, “the hands and head are painted water clears [and] the 'clear' hat is painted in reverse!” How rad! This one of a kind 7” figure retailed for $300. This Friday, September 9th, Tomenosuke and Circus Posterus will be releasing two new figures in their epic line of T + CP Sofubi Collection vinyl figures! For this very special release, Brandt Peters’ Stingy Jack and Kathie Olivas’ Calliope Jackalope have been cast in killer swirls of glow in the dark and pink soft Japanese vinyls to create a beautiful GID effect and feature green, black and white sprays.

Yes! Circus Posterus and Tomenosuke are finally releasing a new colorway of Chris Ryniak’s Stinky Ginger vinyl figure. For the grumpy figure’s sixth colorway, Ryniak has cooked up something cooler than cold! The Icebox Stinky Ginger is cast in blue soft Japanese vinyl with blue sprays and black and white detailing. This deliciously stinky figure stands 7” tall and goes on sale today, Friday, January 29th, at the Circus Posterus online store soon for around $90.
