Halloween Pumpkin Resin Figures by Vanessa Ramirez

To celebrate Halloween 2017, sculptor extraordinaire Vanessa Ramirez will be releasing this adorably spooky resin pumpkins! Available in two different styles – Tall or Squat – each Halloween Pumpkin stand approximately 2.25”-2.75” and are hand cast and painted by Vanessa. And don’t worry, these pumpkins won’t go bad and are friendly enough to hang out all year round! Fans can purchase these adorable orange gourds at 1pm PST today, Tuesday, October 31st, at Ramirez’ online store for $40 each.

New Owl & Monster Resin Figures by Vanessa Ramirez!

This Saturday, April 16th, Vanessa Ramirez will be releasing a new batch of adorable, handmade resin owls and monsters! This is Vanessa’s first big release since Designer Con 2015, so I know collectors around the globe will be itching to get their hands on these fantastic new resin pieces. There will be five different figures released at 2pm PST today at the Vanessa Ramirez online store – each one better than the last!

“Winter Blue” Owen ($45) stands 2.25” tall, while “Purple” Tyton ($55) is 3” tall. Both are little owls that likes to sit and think about things. Bernie ($85) is an original one of a kind 4” monster. He did not get bacon on his burger, meaning it’s been a rough day! Benji ($85) is another one of a kind 3” monster. Benji has also had a bad day, so he’s just going to sit here and wait for the ice cream man. Last but definitely not least is Pit ($65), a 2.5” happy little guy that believes why walk when you can skip!

My favorite part of October is all of the awesome Halloween themed releases we get each year. Just check out these adorable Pumpkin resin figures from our good friend Vanessa Ramirez! Supahcute Kaiju Show: A Collection of Cute Monsters & Irresistible Strange Beasts

Leanna Lin’s Wonderland is kicking off 2014 with a group exhibition of monstrous proportions! Get ready for a roaring good time at the Supahcute Kaiju Show where you’ll find a collection of cute monsters and irresistible strange beasts. Curator of Cute Hana Kim (of Supahcute) has gathered some of her favorite artists to prove the theory that even monsters can be cute. Prepare to fall in love with some of the most adorable creatures you’ll ever see!

The Supahcute Kaiju Show features new works by 100% Soft, Camilo Bejarano, Catmandru!, Christopher Lee, Fat Rabbit Farm, Genevieve Santos, Jared Andrew Schorr, Jerrod Maruyama, Tony Bui, Vanessa Ramirez, and Varinya Nunez. See more previews from the show here.

The opening reception will take place at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland on Saturday, January 18th, from 6-10pm. The first 10 people to spend $20 or more on art at the show will receive a free goodie bag. The event will also include a Supahcute Pop-Up featuring a fun exclusive designed by Jerrod Maruyama.

Resin is King Blind Box Series 2

The Resin is King Series is back and better than ever! Tenacious Toys and Dead Hand Toys have teamed up once again to curate an incredible new “Resin is King” blind box series featuring 16 talented artists. For Resin is King Series 2, each artist was asked to develop a new sub-3" resin figure and submit 10 pieces to the series using that sculpt. That’s 160 figures in all!!! The Blot honestly never thought we’d see a resin series to this magnitude, and it just shows how far the medium has come.

I’ve been watching their creation through Vanessa’s Twitter and Instagram accounts for months now, and these creepy, yet sweet Potato Babies are finally being unleashed upon the world! But don’t turn your back on these hand cast, hand painted 4” resin figures, because you never know when a Potato Baby may strike!!! Unhappbees Resin Art Pins by Vanessa Ramirez

Meet The Unhappbees, Vanessa Ramirez exciting new set of resin art pin sculptures dropping later today! These unhappy little fellows are 2"w x 3"h, and are the cutest little unhappy bees you’ve ever seen. Vanessa has created six different colorways (red, blue, green, purple, yellow and silver) of these one of a kind hand cast, hand painted resin bees. This is the third resin release by the talented California artist in the past year, and her sculpting skills just keep getting better! The Blot can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
