It’s the weekend we’ve all been waiting for, the world premiere of
The Dark Knight! Well actually the movie premiered nine hours ago at 12:01 am, but you get the point. I really don’t know what I’m going to blog about now that the movie’s opening weekend is finally here.
It feels like Batman and the Joker are everywhere right now. Every news outlet and website in the world seems to be talking about
The Dark Knight and I still haven’t seen a bad review.
USAToday gave the movie 4 out of 4 stars yesterday and it has a freshness rating of 94% on
Rotten Tomatoes with a general consensus that the movie is “dark, complex and unforgettable,
The Dark Knight succeeds not just as an entertaining comic book film, but as a richly thrilling crime saga.” (
link) Finally DC Comics and Warner Bros. does something right! I am getting goose bumps just thinking about seeing it.
Now, I don’t know how many readers of The Blot Says… braved the elements to camp out and see the 12:01 am, 3:00 am or 6:00 am viewings, but please no spoilers because I won’t get to see the film until 10:15 pm tonight at our local IMAX theater. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts and impressions of it though, so definitely leave your reviews of the film in this post’s comment section. I hope everyone is able to get out and see
