Today, Mondo has an awesome double feature of movie posters by artist Matt Taylor for a pair of films adapted from a pair of novels – Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Fight Club! The Blot just learned that for the last ten years, Matt has worked with Penguin Random House on exquisitely illustrated covers for John le Carré novels, and late last year Mondo learned he had worked with StudioCanal on the cover art for the 10th anniversary 4K Blu-ray release, which has not been transformed into a killer new screen print poster for the film!
As for the Fight Club piece, as Mondo explained “Most people know the first rule of Fight Club, but not a lot are as familiar with the 9th rule: When Matt does one Fight Club poster, ask him to do a companion piece four years later for the other main character. Alright, we made that up. Fight us.” Both movie posters will go on sale at 11amCT on Thursday, January 20th, at MondoShop.com via The Drop for $50 each.
