“Ball Kicking” Cheech Wizard Resin Figure by Mark Bode

Following the successful release of his Da’ Lizard figure last year, Mark Bode is teaming up once again with Michael Waltz to produce this awesome looking “Ball Kicking” Cheech Wizard figure!!! The Cheech Wizard has always been my favorite Bode character, and it still kills me that I’ve never gotten my hands on the original Cheech vinyl figure (which also happened to be Kidrobot’s first release). Just like with Da’ Lizard, the Ball Kicking Cheech Wizard will first be released as an unpainted resin prototype by Waltz before being released as a self-funded vinyl figure by Bode.

The “Ball Kicking” Cheech Wizard Resin Figure by Mark Bode is currently available in two unpainted colorways, blank white ($180) and glow in the dark ($210). Cheech Wizard & Da Lizard “GOOMPH!” T-Shirt by Mark Bodé

Mark Bodé just released this awesome new long sleeve t-shirt entitled “GOOMPH!”, which features two of the Bode family’s signature characters, Cheech Wizard and Da Lizard! Many of you may also recognize the model above…it’s the one and only DJ QBert! It’s kinda ridiculous how much of a mark The Blot is for Bodé’s (and his father Vaughn Bodé’s) artwork and characters. Thankfully Mark’s been bringing the heat lately with some awesome new apparel and toy releases.

Aerosol Warfare presents The Masked Lizard Rides Again: The Works of Mark Bode, Vaughn Bode & Posse

Next Saturday, January 18th, Aerosol Warfare will be hosting the coolest Houston art show The Blot’s seen since moving here back in 2005! Legendary artist Mark Bode will be making his first Texas appearance at street art gallery Aerosol Warfare for “The Masked Lizard Rides Again”! This art exhibition will feature original artwork and books from the collection of Mark Bode and the late Vaughn Bode, as well as a small group art show of Bode-inspired pieces by a very special invited artist posse comprised of AZUL, COLERSONER, DANDEE WARHOL, DEATH HEAD, DECKWGF, DUROCK, MIKE HERNANDEZ, GONZO247, GRAVE, JESTER, MERGE360, NATE NASH, SIEGO, SKEEZ181, SKEWONE, SLOKE, OSCAR and more.

The Blot is all kinds of excited to have Mark Bode in Houston and I can’t wait to meet him. Bode will be available for autographs and book signings at the Aerosol Warefare Gallery during the event’s opening night reception from 6-10pm on Saturday, January 18th. The evening will also feature MC Craig BBC Long on the mic, live painting of a car belonging to art patron, Chris Higham, BBOY breaking and entertainment led by Marlon of HAVIKORO and DJ Joe B of Rebel Crew on the turntables.
