DC Comics Artists Alley Batman GID Vinyl Figure by Joe Ledbetter x DC Direct – A DC Universe Exclusive!

This week has been a brutal week for DC Comics and its employees. Not only was a ton of editorial staff laid off, but evidently Warner Bros shutdown DC Direct completely and let go its entire team! The Blot was super bummed because I was such a fan of so many of their products, including the epic DC Artists Alley vinyl figure line. Since the line is probably ending, now is the time to get the very last colorway of Joe Ledbetter’s killer Batman vinyl figure! The Glow in the Dark Batman vinyl figure showcases Ledbetter’s vibrant mix of literalism and playfulness. This GID Batman is an anthropomorphic delight, bringing a cute but fierce design to the Dark Knight.

DC Comics Artists Alley “Aqua-Vision” Batman Vinyl Figure by James Groman x DC Direct – A DC Universe Exclusive!

The Blot couldn’t believe it… I assume this means all those future DC Artists Alley vinyl figures are now canceled. One DC Artists Alley figure I didn’t even know existed was this DC Universe Exclusive “Aqua-Vision” Batman Vinyl Figure by James Groman. This vinyl figure features Groman’s monstrous reimagining of Batman in a very special “Aqua-Vision” colorway featuring a green, purple and orange color scheme.

The DC Comics Artists Alley “Aqua-Vision” Batman Vinyl Figure by James Groman x DC Direct stands 8.46” tall and retails for $65. There is a catch though, you must be a DC Universe subscriber (which is clearly getting phased out and merged into HBO Max) in order to purchase this figure at shop.dcuniverse.com.

Titans Television Series Season 2 One Sheet Poster by DC Universe

Although no one expects the DC Universe streaming service to be around much longer once Warner Bros launches its larger, all-encompassing HBO+ streaming service, it is exciting to see the release of a second season for Titans! The Blot’s a huge Teen Titans fan, and I can’t wait to see all the new characters popping up in the show’s second season, including Superboy, Deathstroke, Jericho, Ravager, and Doctor Light. It’s just too bad Swamp Thing got the ax so quickly! Which new DC Comics character are you most looking forward to seeing in Titans Season 2?

Evidently this is a super limited release, which I know Batman, DC Comics and Funko Pop! fans are going to go crazy trying to get their hands on. The Blot kind of wants this vehicle just for the blue and green Batman that’s included with it. Sold exclusively by Toy Tokyo’s NYCC booth #101, the Batman ’66 Blue Batmobile was inspired by the blue Japanese tin Batmobile toy from 1972. Now here’s a release I know Pop! collectors are going to go crazy over! Funko is set to release its first ever Pop! vehicle, and it’s none other than the Batmobile from the popular 1960’s Batman television show. This is the most iconic version of DC Comics’ Batmobile and was designed by Funko to actually fit a single 3.75” Pop! vinyl figure. How cool is that!?! I can’t wait to get my hands on one.

Funko continues its line of toys based on the old school Batman television show from the 1960s with a new wave of Batman 1966 Pop! Heroes vinyl figures! Fans of DC Comics’ campy live action television show won’t be able to resist the retro goodness of these “Batman 1966” figures, which includes Adam West’s Batman, Burt Ward’s Robin, Cesar Romero’s The Joker and Julie Newmar’s Catwoman. What really makes this set perfect is that Romero’s The Joker even includes his signature, out of character mustache.

The Blot always gets excited when Funko releases new non-Batman related DC Comics Pop! vinyl figures, but did they have to be “New 52” inspired!?! Funko's second wave of “New 52” DC Comics Pop! Heroes vinyl figures includes Green Lantern, The Flash and Aquaman. While The Blot hates The Flashes’ unnecessary yellow lines everywhere, I’m really digging Aquaman’s new look and I really don’t mind Hal Jordan’s new v-neck.
