Coraline Screen Print by Graham Erwin x Mondo

Coraline Screen Print by Graham Erwin x Mondo

To celebrate Laika’s release of Kubo and the Two Strings on home video today, Mondo is releasing two officially licensed Laika movie poster screen prints: Kubo and the Two Strings by César Moreno (seen here) and Coraline by Graham Erwin! The Blot’s a huge fan of author Neil Gaiman and his Coraline is still my favorite Laika stop-motion animation film. Erwin did a fantastic job capturing the fun and spookiness of the film.

Coraline by Graham Erwin is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 225 pieces and will retail for $45, while the Variant is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $65. Both editions go on sale at a random time today, November 22nd, at the Mondo online store.

Guzu Gallery presents Deep Cuts 12 Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes - “The Brawler” by David Moscati

While we’re still a few days away from the opening of Guzu Gallery’s newest group art show “Deep Cuts: 12" Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes”, The Blot’s excited to share with you a few pieces from the show, including this exclusive first look at David Moscati's Tom Waits inspired screen print! As you probably remember, for this show Guzu asked over 20 artists to choose a beloved music icon, cult hero or legend and let his/her creativity spill to paper. There were, however, three conditions: (1) the artwork must be a screen print; (2) the artwork must be album cover size; and (3) the artwork must cost just $25.

Guzu Gallery presents Deep Cuts 12 Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes - “Wizard of Thunder” by Billy Perkins, “Remember the Coop” by Ghoulish Gary Pullin, “The Metallian” by Graham Erwin & “Viddy Well, Little Brother. Viddy Well.” by New Flesh/NE

Guzu Gallery presents Deep Cuts: 12" Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes

Guzu Gallery presents Deep Cuts: 12

For Guzu Gallery’s newest group art show “Deep Cuts: 12" Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes” they’ve asked over 20 artists to choose a beloved music icon, cult hero or legend and let his/her creativity spill to paper. There were, however, three conditions: (1) the artwork must be a screen print; (2) the artwork must be album cover size; and (3) the artwork must cost $25. Oh yeah, and (4) the artwork must kick ass!

The show is scheduled to coincide with spring break, which is always the best time of year in Austin. It’s when SXSW, one of the largest and most hotly anticipated music festivals on the planet, crashes head first into the Live Music Capital of the World. And what better time to celebrate our favorite music heroes than South by Southwest!?!

The opening reception will be Thursday, March 7th from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain up through April 7th. In classic Guzu style, there will be live music on opening night to shake the walls and rattle the art. But don’t fret if you can’t make the show’s opening, each limited edition screen print will be available in the Guzu Gallery online store on Sunday, March 10th at 3pm CST.

Deep Cuts: 12" Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes features works by the following artists: Jason Chalker, Miguel Coronado III, Tim Doyle, Graham Erwin, M. Fersner, Matt Frank, Mauro Garza, Paul Hanley, Kachi, Scott Kinnebrew, Mark Lone, Yehudi Mercado, Danny Miller, David Moscati, New Flesh, Billy Perkins, Jesse Philips, Gary Pullin, Cody Schibi, Zach Taylor, Eric Torres, Vincent X. Fringe Screen Print #5 - The Dreamscape by Graham Erwin

Fringe Benefits Limited Edition Fringe Screen Print Series - “The Dreamscape” by Graham Erwin

The Dreamscape” by Graham Erwin is the fifth print in the Fringe Benefit Screen Print Series released in honor of the hit FOX television show Fringe’s fifth and final season. Each print will be based on an episode’s case (aka fringe event) selected by fan voting at the Fringe Benefit website. Erwin’s design is based on Episode 109, entitled “The Dreamscape.” In that episode Mark Young, a Massive Dynamic employee, jumps out of a window when he is getting attacked by butterflies that are cutting him. It was a very cool episode and Erwin did a fantastic job recreating that bone cutting scene. The Blot loves how much action is going on in this print!

Graham Erwin’s limited edition Fringe 4 color screen print “The Dreamscape” measures 18”x24”, has a run size of 150 pieces (only 100 available for purchase) and comes hand numbered. The print retails for $30 each and can be purchased here.

To celebrate and honor the fifth and final season of Fringe, six of Gallery 1988’s most sought after artists and designers have been commissioned to create screenprints depicting some of the series' most memorable cases. All profits from the Fringe Benefits project will be donated to The Mission Continues, an amazing charity that encourages and aids volunteerism by disabled and wounded veterans. These screenprints are hand-pulled, each its own individual work of art, in an edition of just 150, with only 100 available to the public through this project. Once the edition is sold out, they will never be printed again.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Screen Print by Graham Erwin

Mondo x Sideshow Collectibles The Nightmare Before Christmas Screen Print by Graham Erwin

Mondo and Sideshow Collectibles continue their popular line of Disney screen prints with this fun The Nightmare Before Christmas screen print by Graham Erwin featuring the Mayor of Halloween Town. Honestly, I’m a little surprised by the timing of this print’s release. While I love NBX, you’d think a print like this would be better released say around the end of October or December. Regardless, Erwin killed this print! I just hope this means we can look forward to more Nightmare Before Xmas character banners in the coming months.

The Nightmare Before Christmas by Graham Erwin is a 12”x36” screen print and, has a limited edition run size of 325 pieces. The print will retail for $50 and go on sale at a random time on today, Wednesday, April 25th, at the Mondo online store.
