Coming soon from Graphitti Designs and DC Comics is this spooky Batman t-shirt entitled “Joker: Bats” by Jock, which features the artist’s amazing cover to Detective Comics #880 featuring the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker! If you didn’t read the Black Mirror storyline that ran through Detective Comics back in 2011, then you may recognize the image from the Mondo screen print “Joker: The Black Mirror”, which was released last August. Jock’s design of The Joker’s head comprised almost entirely of bats has become an iconic modern-era image of the Dark Knight’s mortal enemy.

It’s been way too long since The Blot’s featured the artwork of Olly Moss here on TheBlotSays.com. So of course I have to highlight the fact that he’s designed the cover to next week’s Batman Black and White #3! This is the second DC Comics cover Olly’s designed in the past year and man is it awesome. I love how Olly turned Batman’s chest emblem into the Penguin’s umbrella. It’s a beautiful monochromatic design that would make an epic screen print!

The Blot’s a sucker for 3 ¾” scale figures, and these fully poseable toys look fantastic. I love all the accessories they’ve included in these sets over the past two years.

So The Blot totally missed this release from earlier the year too. I was all wrapped up in the birth of my sons. Trying to play a little catch up when I can! DC Collectibles teamed up with Graphitti Designs to release their fourth box set in the new toy line of convention only 3.75” DC Comics Super Heroes action figures. The 2013 Convention Exclusive Green Lantern action figure 2 pack includes super poseable and very detailed versions of DC Comics super hero Green Lantern Guy Gardner and Orange Lantern Larfleeze (with Glomulus). While these were originally available exclusively at WonderCon 2013 and C2E2 2013, they can now be purchased from Graphitti Designs’ online store for $29.95.

What The Blot really wants to know is whether or not these Aardman Animations x DC Comics action figures are actually popular!?! I honestly have not heard a single good thing about them from collectors, but DC Collectibles keeps on producing more. Personally, I think they’re pretty cool looking (I love that stop-motion animation style) but even that isn’t driving me to buy any of them. They all seem a little over priced. For San Diego Comic-Con 2013 DC Collectibles is releasing a new Aardman style Superman action figure at New York Comic-Con 2012 based on the hilarious DC Nation stop-motion animated shorts that have been running on the Cartoon Network. What I can’t tell is whether this figure is actually any different than the Aardman Superman figure included in the previously released DC Nation Aardman Animations Action Figure 5 Pack.

DC Collectibles announced its third release of its relatively new Green Lantern toy line of convention only 3.75” DC Comics Super Heroes action figures and it is epic! The San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive Superheroes of Green Lantern 4 Pack includes Green Lantern Sinestro, Red Lantern Dex-Starr, Sinestro Corps Member Arkillo and the villainous Black Hand. This is the first release to include members of the expanded Green Lantern universe, so there’s finally someone to battle your previously purchased Green Lanterns. The Blot really loves this toy line. I just wish it was available at retail like Marvel’s Marvel Universe 3.75” line.

DC Comics and DC Collectibles have some awesome exclusives lined up for San Diego Comic-Con 2013 this year, including this Arkham City Hugo Strange action figure. NYCC 2012 Exclusive Aardman Batman Action Figure

The Blot can honestly say this is one release I never saw coming. DC Collectibles is releasing a new Aardman style Batman action figure at New York Comic-Con 2012 based on the hilarious DC Nation stop-motion animated shorts that have been running on the Cartoon Network this past year during DC Comics' block of programming. Designed by Rich Webber and sculpted by Phil Ramirez, the Aardman Batman action figure is a spot on replica of the figures used to make the DC Nation shorts. And if you think this little Batman figure looks like something out of a Wallace and Gromit cartoon, you’d be right! Aardman Animations is the same British animation studios that created the Wallace and Gromit series.
