Dead Hand Toys’ Gread is back with the Gread Evolved!

One of The Blot’s favorite resin figures is back! After a lengthy hiatus, we now know why Dead Hand Toys’ adorable little swamp monster, the Gread, has been in hiding… It’s because he’s evolved! The Gread Evolved is the same bog monster we all know and love, but he now features an entirely new body designed and sculpted by Rich Page of UME Toys. What do you think of the Gread now that he’s got two hands and feet to move around with!?!

Each Gread Evolved resin figure is hand cast and painted by Dead Hand Toys, and the two part figure is articulated at the neck with an embedded magnet. The first colorway of the Gread 2.0 goes on sale at 3pm EST today, Friday, March 2nd, at the Dead Hand Toys online store for $25.

Greadzee Resin Figures by Dead Hand Toys & Zukaty

After a much too long hiatus, Dead Hand Toys’ Gread is back! British artist Zukaty has gotten his hands on The Blot’s favorite swamp monster and mutated him into the all new Greadzee. Custom cast and painted by Zukaty, these Greadzee resin figure is limited to just 16 one of a kind colorways. Each figure comes signed by Zukaty and bagged with header card. Pick one up this Friday, February 7th, at the Dead Hand Toys online store for $25 each.

NYCC 13 Exclusive Gread & Baby Gread Resin Figures by Dead Hand Toys

Dead Hand Toys brought the heat to New York Comic Con 2013 last weekend with over 200 Gread resin figures! The Blot’s never seen so many of the little swamp monsters in one picture. Not only were there beautiful metallic and fluorescent Greads, but Brian Ahlbeck also brought something a little different…Baby Greads!

Ok this isn’t the figure’s official name, but it’s an awesome super small Gread in scale with the popular OMFG and M.U.S.C.L.E. PVC mini figure lines. The Blot can’t wait to see one in person! No word yet if any of these killer NYCC 2013 Exclusive Gread and Mini Gread resin figures remain, but keep your eyes peeled to the Dead Hand Toys online store just in case.

NYCC 13 Exclusive Tri-Color Green Gread Resin Figure by Dead Hand Toys

Dead Hand Toys and SubUrban Vinyl have teamed up to release a very special New York Comic Con 2013 exclusive colorway of everyone’s favorite bog monster, the Gread. Each 2” resin figure features a pretty cool marbled effect of three different shades of green and turned out fantastic. The New York Comic Con 2013 Exclusive Tri-Color Green Gread resin figure by Dead Hand Toys is limited to just 20 pieces and will be sold blind bag style exclusively at the Tenacious Collective NYCC booth #208.

Spanky Stokes Exclusive Tri-Color Black Gread Resin Figure by Dead Hand Toys

It’s hard to believe it’s been over two years since Spanky Stokes released its first exclusive batch of Black Gread resins figures by Dead Hand Toys. This Friday Spanky and Brian Ahlbeck join forces once again to release this exclusive set of Tri-Color Black Greads! This blind bag set of monochromatic marbled resin figures is limited to just 20 pieces and includes 2 super rare “Bloodshot” chases featuring hand painted red eyes. Tenacious Toys continues its popular Super Series Sundays, which features a new release of a resin or custom figure series each Sunday. The Blot loves these 2” little bog monsters, and this colorway featuring three different shades of Tenacious Toys signature blue color scheme turned out fantastic! ToyCon UK Exclusive Gread Resin Figures by UME Toys & Dead Hand Toys

For ToyCon UK last weekend UME Toys teamed up with Dead Hand Toys to release a beautiful set of Gread resin figures! The Blot’s a huge fan the 2” bog monster, and I was really excited to see what Rich Page would do with the figure. Not only did he add eyelids to each Gread, but he also gave them a really cool weathered bronze paint job. They turned out sick if you ask me! 

The ToyCon UK Exclusive Gread Resin Figures by UME Toys has a limited edition run size of just 9 pieces and retails for £14. The remaining figures from last weekend’s show are currently available for purchase at the UME Toys online store. But act fast before these little guys are gone for good!

Sugar Skull Gread Resin Figures by Dead Hand Toys

Later today Dead Hand Toys will be releasing an extremely limited run of Sugar Skull Gread resin figures! This is only the second release of Brian Ahlbeck’s undead little bog monster (the first being last year’s Bone Gread). This is the most detailed paint job Brian’s ever done with any of his resin figures and boy did he knock this one out of the park! These Sugar Skull Greads turned out incredibly sick, and The Blot’s itching to get my hands on one.

Blind Bagged Marbled Gread Resin Figures by Dead Hand Toys

Everyone’s favorite little bog monster is back! It's been a while, but later today Dead Hand Toys will be releasing an all new series of Gread resin figure. Each one of a kind Gread is made from at least three different colored resins, the first time this has ever been done! Each figure is then finished with a black rub and a gloss clear coat, making for a really cool effect.

These Marbled Gread resin figures will be sold blind bagged for $20 each through the Dead Hand Toys online store today, Tuesday, February 12th, at 5pm EST.

Gread 2012 Holiday Ornaments by Dead Hand Toys

For the second consecutive year Dead Hand Toys is producing a pretty cool ornament for the holidays! The 2012 Christmas Ornament is Dead Hand Toys’ first figure, the Gread! Cast in resin and foam, these are super light weight and perfect for hanging on your Christmas tree or holiday bush (even more so than last year’s ornament). Each Gread Ornament comes painted in metallic colors and layered with glitter. But don't worry, there's at least three layers of clear on each Gread Ornament so the glitter shouldn't be going anywhere.

The 2012 Gread Christmas Ornament by Dead Hand Toys will be available in four metallic colorways: red, green, silver and gold. These go on sale at the Dead Hand Toys online store today, Friday, December 14th, at 5pm EST and will be available through Sunday, December 16th. Each ornament will retail for $15, but if you buy a set of all four they’re just $50 (that’s $10 off!).

Bone Gread Resin Figure by Dead Hand Toys

Dead Hand Toys secretly released a number of Halloween inspired colorways of its popular resin monsters earlier this week, including a Candy Corn Teuth and Bone Filled Funguhs. But of the 6 figures released, my favorite is this awesome Bone Great! The cute little bog monster is back in a new bone looking colorway perfect for the Halloween season. Hand cast and painted, the Bone Gread retails for just $15 and can be purchased at the Dead Hand Toys online store. This awesome figure will have a time release run, meaning there is no limit to how many can be ordered while it is up for sale in the DHT online store. This way everyone who wants a Bone Gread can order one for a limited time.

NYCC 12 Exclusive Translucent Gread Resin Figures by Brian Ahlbeck

The Gread is back! Brian Ahlbeck’s (of Dead Hand Toys) popular little resin monster returns to New York Comic-Con in two awesome translucent colorways. Available exclusively at Tenacious Toys’ NYCC booth #3121, Ahlbeck has created a Tenacious Toys Translucent Blue Gread and a red, yellow and green Translucent Rainbow Gread for the east coast’s biggest comic-con.

Each version has a limited edition run size of just 10 pieces and will definitely go fast! Who doesn’t love these cute little swamp creatures!?! The Blot’s lucky enough to have a number Greads in my collection and these 2” wide mini figures are always impeccably made.

Rsin x Dead Hand Toys Custom Gread Resin Figures

The newest series of artist edition Gread resin figures from Dead Hand Toys drops next week and these look crazy good! This time around Lysol has teamed up with the extremely talented Rsin on a set of 10 Greads. I love collaborations like this because it’s so cool to see how one artist’s style translates to another artist’s figure.

The Rsin x Dead Hand Toys Greads go on sale at the Dead Hand Toys online store this Tuesday, March 27th at noon EST. Each figure comes bagged with a header card and will retail for $20 (+ $3 shipping).

Slime Gread Resin Figures by Lysol

Lysol’s been hard at work the past few weeks on the next evolution of his popular Gread resin figure. This time around, each figure will be sitting in a little pool of resin "slime"! No paint is involved here, just hand cast resin in a variety of different colors. For this particular release, each figure will be made to order, and you will actually get to pick your Gread and Slime color combination. Like with Burger King, at the Dead Hand online store you will truly get to have it your way!

Collectors will get to choose from at least a couple of different Gread colors and match that up with several different colors of slime. The exact color options have not been finalized yet, so be sure check out Lysol’s twitter feed, blog and online store to find out more info! These awesome Slime Greads will go on sale at the Dead Hand online store this Tuesday, January 31st, at noon EST. Each figure comes bagged with a head card and will retail for $20 each.

Pumpkin Gread & Pumpkin Funguhs Resin Figures by Lysol

Thanksgiving is almost upon us, which leads us into the busiest shopping weekend of the year! The Blot’s a sucker for Good Friday (my own personal nickname for Black Friday) deals, but this Saturday’s also great for picking up new releases from some of my favorite artists. Take Lysol of Dead Hand Toys for instance. Late last night he dropped word on his Twitter feed that he’d be releasing not one, but two Thanksgiving themed resin figures on Saturday. The Pumpkin Gread and Pumpkin Funguhs go on sale at the Dead Hand Toys online store Saturday, November 23rd, at 12pm EST. While prices and run size are currently unknown, you can rest assured these little monsters are sure to sell out quickly!

Tenacious Toys Exclusive Fire & Ice Tint Gread Resin Figures by LYS0L

If you follow The Blot on Twitter then you already know about this exciting release from Tenacious Toys! TT has reteamed with Dead Hand Toys for not one, but two new exclusive colorways of Lysol’s popular character Gread. Dubbed Fire and Ice, these red and blue tinted resin figures really show off the amazing things an artist can do with resin as a medium. The only aspect of these figures that are actually painted are the eyes, the rest of the color comes from the tinted resin itself! Don’t the colors of these two just pop?

Lysol will be taking San Diego Comic-Con 2011 by storm this year with an all new series of Gread resin figures! NYCC 2010 Exclusive OsiRisORion x Dead Hand Toys Custom Gread Resin Figures

The Blot can't get over the sheer number of custom figures OsiRisORion will be releasing at New York Comic-Con 2010. Along with his custom Oil Slick Ripples, OsiRisORion has customized four different sets of Lysol and Dead Hand Toys' Gread resin figure. The four custom Gread sets are entitled “Metallic Nightshade,” “Molten Lava,” “Oil Slick,” and “Sewer Sludge.” While each set is better than the last, I think the “Metallic Nightshade” might be my favorite…then again, you can’t go wrong with OsiRisORion’s classic “Oil Slick” colorway.
