NYCC 2010 Exclusive Age of Apocalypse X-Men Minimates Set 1

The Blot’s got no idea how I missed this, but Action Figure Xpress (“AFX”) didn’t just have one New York Comic-Con Exclusive Age of Apocalypse box set, they had two! This NYCC exclusive box set includes “Age of Apocalypse” versions of X-Men members Cyclops, Magneto, Rogue, and Sunfire.

NYCC 2010 Exclusive Mystery Red Painted Real Fighting Greasebat by Jeff Lamm

The aforementioned NYCC Mystery Painted Greasebat by Jeff Lamm and Monster Worship has been unveiled just in time for the start of New York Comic-Con 2010 later today, and it might be even better than the Painted Green Greasebat! This berry inspired colorway combines red soft vinyl with pink paint for a deliciously evil combination.

The New York Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Red Painted Real Fighting Greasebat soft vinyl figure by Jeff Lamm stands approximately 7” tall, with two points of articulation, and is made from authentic Sofubi vinyl in Japan. Both NYCC 2010 Exclusive Painted Greasebats will retail for $85 each and can be purchased at the Monster Worship NYCC booth #2682.

DC Direct x Graphitti Designs NYCC 2010 Exclusive White Lantern Hal Jordan Action Figure

DC Direct and Graphitti Designs have teamed up once again to produce an awesome convention exclusive Blackest Night action figure. Shockingly being released with almost no fanfare at all comes the New York Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive White Lantern Hal Jordan action figure! This figure is the perfect companion piece to Graphitti Designs’ previous comic-con convention exclusive action figures: the Rainbow Hal Jordan Series, Black Lantern Hal Jordan and White Lantern Sinestro.

The price of the DC Direct x Graphitti Designs New York Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive White Lantern Hal Jordan action figure will probably retail for around $35-40 each and can be purchased at the Graphitti Designs NYCC booth #2451. But, before an action figure can be purchased, you must get a wristband first.

The line for a wristband will be located at Area 1C on Level 1 under the Exhibit Room floor at the following times: Friday at 2pm; Saturday at 11am-2pm; and Sunday at 11am. All Sunday bands must be redeemed no later than 12:30pm on Sunday, as any remaining figures will go on sale without wristbands Sunday at 1pm.

NYCC 2010 Exclusive Cookies-N-Cream x Sucklord Red Dumny Bootleg Dunny

The fourth colorway of the Sucklord’s Dumny bootleg toy is finally being released this weekend as a New York Comic-Con 2010 exclusive! The Cookies-N-Cream x Suckadelic NYCC Exclusive Red Dumny is an all red resin figure with pink paint splatter and a pink cape. But this isn’t your typical Comic-Con exclusive, as it’s only being sold outside of the convention center.

The NYCC ’10 Exclusive Red Dumny bootleg Dunny resin figure can only be purchased from the Cookies-N-Cream truck, which will be parked outside of the convention somewhere near the Javits Center. Each Red Dumny retails for $40 and is probably pretty limited, so go hunt down that C-n-C truck today!

NYCC 2010 Exclusive Green Painted Real Fighting Greasebat by Jeff Lamm

The Real Fighting Greasebat, one of the most highly sought after (and yet criminally unknown) figures in the world of designer vinyl, will see its first ever painted editions released this weekend at New York Comic-Con 2010! Created by Jeff Lamm, sculpted by Chauskoskis and released by Monster Worship, the Real Fighting Greasebat soft vinyl monster will is sure to sell out extremely quickly, even with two different colorways being released.

The first colorway released at NYCC is the Green Greasebat with metallic blue highlights (as seen above), while the second colorway is a TBA mystery edition. The Blot was lucky enough to snag one of the first two unpainted Greasebat colorways (the Kentucky Bluegrass Edition), and let me just tell you…this figure is sick!  Pictures seriously do not do this Sofubi vinyl monster justice.

NYCC 2010 Exclusive OsiRisORion x Dead Hand Toys Custom Gread Resin Figures

The Blot can't get over the sheer number of custom figures OsiRisORion will be releasing at New York Comic-Con 2010. Along with his custom Oil Slick Ripples, OsiRisORion has customized four different sets of Lysol and Dead Hand Toys' Gread resin figure. The four custom Gread sets are entitled “Metallic Nightshade,” “Molten Lava,” “Oil Slick,” and “Sewer Sludge.” While each set is better than the last, I think the “Metallic Nightshade” might be my favorite…then again, you can’t go wrong with OsiRisORion’s classic “Oil Slick” colorway. NYCC 2010 Exclusive Brent Nolasco x Blamo Mijo Resin Figure

The Brent Nolasco x Blamo Resin Project will be introduced to the world at New York Comic-Con 2010 at the Tenacious Toys booth # 2878. This project was created as a way for Brent to express himself with a series of non-conventional releases. Brent wanted the process of making figures and products to be more fine art than mass production. He wanted a more "hands on" approach to making his next figure, which brought him to the medium of resin.

The first resin figure in the Brent Nolasco x Blamo Project is Mijo (My Child). This 5.5” figure was painted with acrylic paints and will retail for $300 each. Brent first sculpted the Mijo figure by hand, something he had never done before. The figure consists of 6 pieces that are hand casted separately and each piece is then hand painted by Brent, so there is slight variation in each paint job. This ensures each piece is truly unique and has its own characteristics that set them apart from other figures in the release.

Brent likes that they are more organic and free-formed than pieces from a factory which pumps out products for the masses. It makes each release more personal. The runs on these upcoming figures are going to be limited quantities, while others will be just "one-offs". Brent is looking to do some sculpting and other interesting things with these figures to keep the ideas fresh.

NYCC 2010 Exclusive New Mutants Minimates Boxed Set

Action Figure Xpress (“AFX”) will be releasing a New York Comic-Con 2010 exclusive New Mutants boxed set based on the characters’ original look in the 1980s comic books. This NYCC exclusive box set includes New Mutants Cannonball, Susnpot, Wolfsbane and Karma.



As an added bonus, the set comes with two alternate heads of Wolfsbane and Sunspot. This way you can swap their heads out with Karma and Cannonball’s so you can have de-powered versions of Rahne and Roberto in their classic yellow and black uniforms. I don’t think I can accurately put into words how excited The Blot is for this release. The New Mutants was one of my favorite books as a kid, and for some reason action figures based on these characters’ original looks have never really been produced.

NYCC 2010 Exclusive Age of Apocalypse X-Men Minimates Set 2

Action Figure Xpress (“AFX”) will be releasing an awesome Minimates boxed set based on the classic ‘90s X-Men crossover “Age of Apocalypse” as a New York Comic-Con 2010 exclusive! This NYCC exclusive box set includes “Age of Apocalypse” versions of X-Men members Wolverine, Jean Grey and Beast, and the villainous Apocalypse. AOA was one of The Blot’s favorite Marvel storylines back in the day, and these Age of Apocalypse figures bring back some great memories of the ‘90s era comic book boom.

Vandal Express Vinyl Figure by SEEN

Pioneering graffiti artist SEEN designed this nightmarish tribute to the Bronx’s infamous 6 subway train. For $100 you can catch one of these 10 inch long subterranean poly-resin monsters and add it to your collection. This figure looks fantastic, and as a fan of graffiti The Blot is always pumped to see vinyl figures featuring designs from such a legendary artist.


The 10” Vandal Express by SEEN has a limited edition run size of 300 figures, and is bound for New York Comic Con, Kidrobot stores, Kidrobot.com and super select retailers on October 7.

NYCC 2010 Exclusive Figures by Erick Scarecrow: Wet Suit Maria, Pretty Boi & Pink GID S. Maria

ESC Toy is bringing the heat to this year’s New York Comic-Con! Erick Scarecrow is releasing not 1, not 2 but 3 exclusives resin figures at NYCC 2010, and each is better than the last.


First up is the 6” Wet-Suit Maria green colorway vinyl figure, which is limited to 200 pieces, comes packaged in a color box and blister tray, and retail for $55 each. What’s even cooler is this awesome new figure has its own commercial/short (produced by Esc Toy and Aeon Production), which you can watch below. The video turned out great, didn’t it?



The second NYCC 2010 exclusive is the 5.5” Pretty Boi Dramatic Bastard resin figure, which is limited to 15 pieces, comes signed and numbered in Scarecrow box and retails for $125 each.

NYCC Exclusive Yokas by Motorbot, Reactor88 & PHU!

The Blot’s been waiting for the official announcement of this release for a few weeks now, and it’s finally here! adFunture is set to release three all new 3” Yoka vinyl figures designed by three amazing toy customizers at New York Comic-Con 2010 next month. These NYCC 2010 Exclusive “New Yorka” vinyl figures, designed by Motorbot, Reactor88 and PHU!, look pretty awesome.


These NYCC 2010 Exclusive Yokas do an excellent job showcasing the three designers’ signature styles, which is why collectors have coveted their custom figures for so many years. The Blot’s particularly excited for Motorbot’s Lout Yoka, because I love seeing artists’ characters produced on other platforms (it’s also his first production toy, congrats Motorbot!).

Each NYCC Exclusive Yoka will have a limitee edition run size of 200 figures, and will be available for purchase at myplasticheart’s NYCC booth. New York Comic-Con 2010 takes place October 8-10.
