Hero Complex Gallery continues its epic The Muppets Movies Screen Print Series with artist Kevin Wilson / Ape Meets Girl with a new movie poster for The Great Muppet Caper! The Blot loves these movie posters by Wilson as they always have a really cool, retro feel to them.

“Couldn’t We Ride” by Ape Meets Girl is a 36”x24” screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 200 pieces and retails for $65, while the Nostalgia Variant Edition is limited to just 75 pieces. Both are available now at HCGart.com.

The Muppet Christmas Carol “One More Sleep” Screen Print by Kevin Wilson / Ape Meets Girl x Hero Complex Gallery

Last Saturday night (November 16th), Hero Complex Gallery held a special mystery screening event at their gallery, which turned out to be The Muppet Christmas Carol. To commemorate the screening, HCG teamed up with artist Kevin Wilson / Ape Meets Girl (who was in attendance at the event) on a very special The Muppet Christmas Carol screen print. Wilson and HCG has been killing it on these Muppets posters, and The Blot hopes they keep making more!

“One More Sleep” by Ape Meets Girl is a 36”x24” screen print. The Regular Blue Edition is limited to 285 pieces, while the screening exclusive variant Coal Dust Edition is limited to just 50 pieces.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit “Jessica” Screen Print by Craig Drake x Hero Complex Gallery

This weekend is the opening of Hero Complex Gallery’s newest group art show, Blacklight 3! The show includes some amazing pop culture inspired pieces, each featuring fluorescent ink so that the prints can actually glow with a blacklight. The Blot especially loves this beautiful “Jessica” screen print by artist Craig Drake! As you probably know, The Blot is a HUGE fan of Jim Henson’s Muppets, so I’ve been seriously drooling over this Muppets print by Ape Meets Girl (aka Kevin M Wilson) ever since Hero Complex Gallery released its New York Comic Con 2018 exclusives online last week. I love studying the composition of “Time to Light the Lights” as I’m always discovering a new character or some wacky hijinks I may have missed on first glance. What do you think? Suicide Squad “Harley” Screen Print by Craig Drake x Hero Complex Gallery

Craig Drake’s fourth solo art show is currently on display at Hero Complex Gallery and it includes an insane variety of amazing pop culture inspired prints and originals. One of The Blot’s favorite new pieces from the show is this beautiful Suicide Squad screen print featuring Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. The Blot’s a sucker for all things Suicide Squad, and to be honest Harley’s look in the movie is probably the best thing to come out of this extremely uneven live action film.

Harley by Craig Drake is a 36”x24” hand numbered screen print. Limited to 225 pieces, this DC Comics poster can be purchased now at the HCG online store for $65.

Back to the Future Timed Edition Screen Print by Drew Struzan x Hero Complex Gallery

Check out this fantastic new release from Hero Complex Gallery!!!! They’ve teamed up with legendary movie poster artist Drew Struzan to release his iconic artwork for Back to the Future as a screen print. What’s really cool about this release is it’s the very first time this BTTF movie poster has ever been released as a screen print.

For this release, HCG worked from scans of the original painting as it was paramount for Hero Complex to achieve the top level of fidelity of detail, as well as color accuracy. They worked directly with Drew to approve all color palette decisions before printing, then conducted multiple screen print tests to insure the best quality prints possible, and the results are simply breathtaking.

This timed edition Back to the Future screen print by Drew Struzan is currently available for pre-order at the Hero Complex Gallery online store for $135 from now until midnight PST on January 15, 2018. You can also add on Drew Struzan’s signature for an additional $50 (although the quantity of Drew’s signature is limited).

The Back to the Future screen print is available in two editions: a One Sheet Version featuring all of the movie poster’s original text, and an Art Print Version that only features Struzan’s gorgeous artwork. Both colorways measure 24”x36” and come hand numbered. The final edition size for both versions will be determined by the number of prints sold.

Thor: Ragnarok Hela & Valkyrie Screen Prints by Craig Drake x Hero Complex Gallery x Marvel

To commemorate Marvel’s release of Thor: Ragnarok in theaters this weekend, Hero Complex Gallery and Fandango put on an insane Thor: Ragnarok art show featuring a killer line-up of artists! Two of my favorite pieces from that show are these gorgeous Hela and Valkyrie movie poster screen prints by Craig Drake. I don’t know if they’re sold out or if they’ll ever be made available online, but The Blot wants both. I could seriously stare at Craig’s retro style take on Marvel, Disney and DC Comics characters all day long.

Blade Runner Movie Poster Screen Print by Vance Kelly x Hero Complex Gallery

After debuting at New York Comic Con 2017, Hero Complex Gallery has released online this killer movie poster for the original Blade Runner film by Vance Kelly! And it’s perfect timing with Blade Runner 2049 in theaters now. Entitled “You Got The Wrong Guy Pal”, this fantastic screen print is available in two editions: Regular and Variant.

Hero Complex Gallery has just released this beautiful, officially licensed Terminator 2 movie poster by popular artist Craig Drake! The Blot loves the composition of Drake’s design, with the juxtaposition between Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor in the foreground and the shadow portrait of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s The Terminator in the background. Plus, does Drake’s take on Sarah Connor look bad ass or what!?!

After debuting at WonderCon 2017 last weekend, Hero Complex Gallery has released this awesome new Akira screen print by Marko Manev! The Blot’s really loving this colorful new print based on the iconic 1988 anime film, which itself was based on the beloved ‘80s manga series. One little touch that I really appreciate is Manev’s inclusion of the film’s title block at the bottom making this a real movie poster.

Ghost in the Shell “The Major” Screen Prints by Craig Drake x Hero Complex Gallery

After debuting at WonderCon 2017 last weekend, Hero Complex Gallery has released Craig Drake’s beautiful Ghost in the Shell screen prints online! The regular edition “The Major” screen print is based on the new live action Ghost in the Shell film in theaters now starring Scarlett Johansson, while the Japanese variant “The Major” is Drake’s own person recasting of the film with actress Sonoya Mizuno in the lead role as Major Motoko Kusanagi.

Voltron Legendary Defender T-Shirt Collection by Hero Complex Gallery

Yesterday, Hero Complex Gallery opened its latest pop culture art exhibit inspired by DreamWorks Animation's newest series, Voltron Legendary Defender! The new animated television series will be premiering exclusively on Netflix this Friday, June 10th. To commemorate the show’s premiere, HCG has put together an incredible group show featuring a wonderful mix of production artwork and all new, officially licensed works by both Hero Complex Gallery and DreamWorks Animation artists. This includes too bad ass Voltron Legendary Defender t-shirts by artists Kaz Oomori and Jason Liwag.

Star Wars “AT-AT” Screen Print by Craig Drake

Craig Drake announced on Facebook that Hero Complex Gallery will be releasing his newest screen print very soon, and it’s this killer Star Wars poster of an AT-AT! Awesome, right!?! I love how Drake was able to take the Empire’s feared All Terrain Armored Transport Walker and transformer it via his unique art style into something so beautiful!

While there are no release dates known at this time, we do know that the standard edition AT-AT screen print measures 24”x36”, is limited to just 225 pieces and will retail for $60. Look for super limited Foil and Metal Variants to be released as well!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma “Chrome Trooper” Screen Print by Drew Wise

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening in the US later this week, we’ve seen an insane amount of awesome Star Wars artwork released. For instance, earlier this week Hero Complex Gallery unveiled this beautiful “Chrome Trooper” screen print by Drew Wise inspired by the mysterious Captain Phasma! This killer print measures 18”x24” and was printed on rainbow foil paper. Limited to just 100 pieces, you can purchase one now at the HCG online store for just $30.

Batman “Dark Knight” Screen Print by Craig Drake

At New York Comic Con 2015, Hero Complex Gallery finally unveiled Craig Drake’s “Mystery Print” from his second solo show at the gallery. This awesome Batman print is based on the iconic DC Comics character’s look in Christopher Nolan’s film trilogy and looks seriously amazing! It’s so simple and yet so spot on perfect. Craig Drake is known for his unique portrait art style, and it works perfectly here with the brooding look of the Dark Knight!

Dark Knight by Craig Drake is a 24”x36” screen print. It is limited to just 100 pieces and can be purchased at the Hero Complex Gallery online store for just $60. Even better still, HCG has released a batch of one of a kind Dark Knight variants for just $75. Each of these 1/1 variants is different by being printed on a unique color of high quality paper.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Screen Print by Tyler Stout

Later today, Hero Complex Gallery will be releasing one of the most hotly requested screen prints of the year, an Avengers: Age of Ultron movie poster by Tyler Stout! The Blot’s been dying to see a Stout Age of Ultron design, and TStout definitely knocked it out of the park. Has anyone ever crammed so much Marvel goodness in one poster!?!

The Avengers: Age of Ultron screen print by Tyler Stout will be released in three limited edition colorways. The Regular Edition features metallic silver inks, is limited to 750 pieces and will retail for $60. The Variant Edition features metallic gold and silver inks, is limited to 350 pieces and retails for $110. Last but not least is the Cast and Crew Variant Edition, which will not be made publicly available and was given out to the cast and crew of the film, features multiple metallic inks and is limited to just 160 pieces.

Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron “Meanwhile, Back At Avengers Headquarters…” Screen Print by JC Richard

Last weekend Hero Complex Gallery hosted a ridiculously awesome, officially licensed Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron Group Art Show! A late addition to the show is this wonderful screen print by JC Richard! Entitled “Meanwhile, Back At Avengers Headquarters…” puts the focus on the unofficial seventh member of the Avengers, Avengers Tower (fka Stark Tower)! I love that even though Avengers Tower is the focus of this screen print, I like that all six members of the team are in the design along with a Qunjet.

My favorite full team design is this very patriotic “All of you, against all of me!” screen print by Bruce Yan.

The Blot really loves this print’s animated feel, and I love all the action and movement Bruce included in its design. But what really put this movie poster over the top for me is all the Kirby krackle in its design! Seriously, every comic book inspired print should always include Kirby dots.
