SDCC 2022 Exclusive The Suicide Squad Starro Variant Screen Print by Phantom City Creative x Mondo

Mondo will be at San Diego Comic-Con this year – for the first time as part of the Funko Collective – where they will be releasing a ton of epic pop culture exclusives, including this pretty much perfect SDCC 2022 Exclusive The Suicide Squad Starro Variant Screen Print by Phantom City Creative. If The Blot was going to Comic-Con this year this print would be a must get. I love how PCC integrated Starro into their design. Although I probably won’t be able to get a copy of the variant, Mondo is also releasing a matching Regular Edition that’s pretty great in its own right.

The Suicide Squad by Phantom City Creative is a 24”x36” hand numbered DC Comics screen print.  Limited to just 120 pieces, this Comic-Con Exclusive Starro Variant can be purchased exclusively at the Mondo SDCC booth #5137 on Friday, July 22nd, for $75. The Suicide Squad Prequel TV Series Peacemaker starring John Cena is coming to HBOMax!

Here's some pretty cool news.  HBOMax has greenlit a prequel television series for the upcoming The Suicide Squad film, which will be John Cena as The Peacemaker!  The streaming series will be 8 episodes with director James Gunn writing all episodes and directing a number of them.  According to reports, the TV show will be an origin story for Cena’s Peacemaker character.

The Blot was super excited to learn that Hot Toys was continuing their awesome Artist Mix Collection, with a new release by Hong Kong artist Kenny Wong of Kennyswork! Hot Toys’ Artist Mix Collection Series spotlights different artists and designers from various genres and invites them to reimagine iconic movie characters in their unique style. For this release, Kenny has transformed his signature character, Molly, into DC Comics’ Harley Quinn from the Suicide Squad! How cool is that?!?!

The Harley Quinn Molly Artist Mix Figure stands 23cm tall and does an amazing job recreating the Batman villain in Kennyswork’s distinctive art style. Molly is a confident, independent, and courageous every girl who comes dressing up in Harley Quinn’s iconic black and red jumpsuit sitting on a Jack-in-the-box and holding Harley’ signature mallet. Craig Drake’s fourth solo art show is currently on display at Hero Complex Gallery and it includes an insane variety of amazing pop culture inspired prints and originals. One of The Blot’s favorite new pieces from the show is this beautiful Suicide Squad screen print featuring Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. The Blot’s a sucker for all things Suicide Squad, and to be honest Harley’s look in the movie is probably the best thing to come out of this extremely uneven live action film.
