First Look: Kidrobot's Dunny Series 2013!?!

Thanks to some serious internet sleuthing by Dunny Addicts, we have our very first look at what The Blot assumes is Kidrobot’s upcoming Dunny Series 2013! Boy do these designs look awesome! I really love the helmet wearing black and white elephant Dunny that I assume was designed by JPK. While I can’t identify all of them, there definitely seems to be designs by Jeremyville, Julie West, Scribe, Nathan Jurevicius, Jon Paul Kaiser, Scott Tolleson and Ardabus Rubber. Any other guesses!?!? I can’t wait for this release!

Jeremyville x Threadless T-Shirt Collection

The Blot was super excited to learn Threadless had teamed up with Jeremyville to release a new series of "Made By" t-shirts featuring Jeremyville’s signature Community Service Announcements. Jeremyville began drawing Community Service Announcements as notes to himself about navigating day-to-day life. Since then he’s drawn over 600 CSAs, and his art has appeared all over the world in shows, on shoes, murals, Dunnys and now Threadless t-shirts!

Thirteen different designs were chosen for the Jeremyville x Threadless T-Shirt Collection, each available in girls and guys style t-shirts, sizes S-2XL. This afternoon Kidrobot will be releasing its newest super-mini series, Thoughts in Jeremyville by Australian artist Jeremyville. Each of the 1 inch musings in this new super-mini series from Jeremyville represent everything that’s on his mind, from love and money to death and cheeseburgers.

The long rumored blue and purple variant Free Hugs Dunny by Jeremyville is about to see the light of day! For months now collectors have speculated whether or not this second colorway of Jeremyville’s Dunny Series 2009 figure was actually produced. Only 100 of these super rare 3 inch Dunnys, created especially for Kidrobot’s KRonikle by Australian artist Jeremyville, will go on sale to the general public. Kidrobot is about to release a brand new plush doll from the mind of Jeremyville, and The Blot thinks it’s probably going to be part of Aly’s upcoming Valentine’s Day present (like getting engaged wasn’t romantic enough!). As the KR ad says, you’ll never be a victim of unrequited affection ever again with The Love Bunny in your life.


Artist Jeremyville’s super soft limited edition plush figure measures 16 inches from ears to feet, has embroidered freckles & eyes, appliqued hearts on his chest and feet, and retails for $29.95. The Love Bunny also comes with a full color, 8 page comic book by the artist. The Love Bunny will be available for purchase at select retailers, Kidrobot stores or Kidrobot.com starting late January 2010.

Kidrobot - Dunny Series 2009 Checklist and Ratios

It’s Official! Dunny Series 2009 will be hitting store shelves in just over 4 weeks! Best of all, we’ll be getting Dunny versions of Devilrobot’s To-Fu Head Son and Mori Chack’s Gloomy Bear, plus a bunch of wild figures equipped with the necessary accessories to wreak havoc on your collection.

Kidrobot’s limited edition hyper series Dunny Endangered! will be hitting store shelves on May 21st. While no one knows this new 3 inch series’ actual run size, it is expected to sell out very quickly (unlike previous 3” Dunny series Ye Olde English and Series 5). Besides the great artist line-up and interesting animal Dunnys, The Blot really loves the fact that the case and blind box artwork was designed by Jeremyville. Kidrobot - 3 Inch Endangered Dunny Series

Coming very soon to a store near you (on May 21st to be exact) is Kidrobot’s latest 3 inch Dunny Series entitled Endangered! Kidrobot is getting wild on this super rare “hyper series” of animal themed Dunnys. The Endangered Dunny Series features 15 designs (including 2 chases) by 14 incredible artists.


Artists with Dunnys in the series include Amanda Visell, Aya Kakeda, Elizabeth Berdann, Chuckboy, Frank Kozik, Jeremyville, Joe Ledbetter, Kronk, Michelle Valigura, Mr. Shane Jessup, Sket One, Tad Carpenter, Triclops Studio and Touma. Rumor has it Kidrobot’s latest 3” Dunny series will be extremely limited edition, which is how Kidrobot is justifying yet another blind box price increase. The Endangered Dunny Series will now retail for $8.95 a box.


And just released yesterday by Kidrobot’s own Toy Baroness comes the above picture of all 13 standard animal Dunnys in the Endangered Series. (link) Can you identify which design goes with which artist? The Touma blue knuckle bear in the back left corner should be obvious. The furry lion is Chuckboy’s and the chainsaw wielding pig is none other than Sket One’s. I’ve figured out most of them, but will leave the fun in identifying them to you! The Nightmare In Jeremyville 8 Inch Dunny

The new Nightmare In Jeremyville 8 inch Dunny really signifies what I love about Kidrobot’s Dunny platform. Not only does this designer vinyl figure feature a very cool, unique design, but it introduces me to an artist I had not heard of before, Jeremy Ville.


The design on the front and back of this crying, pink Dunny actually tells the story of this figure’s horrifying nightmare and includes a comic strip poster detailing the Halloween themed adventure. This is the kind of 8” Dunny I have been patiently waiting for Kidrobot to release, especially after the last 6-9 months of generic characters. This figure returns to Kidrobot’s roots and actually pushes the boundaries of what an artist can do with a Dunny canvas.


The Nightmare In Jeremyville 8” Dunny retails for $50.00 and will be released on October 2, 2008. This limited edition figure also includes a decaying carrot accessory and a 14 x 17 inch comic poster (as shown above).
