Scribe has also released a micro run of hand painted Camo Jungle Edition Rumpus vinyl figures, which was done using the Green Edition figure.  Limited to just 10 pieces, it is available now for $190.

DCon 2021 Exclusive Rumpus Walking Cool Tone Edition Vinyl Figure by Scribe x UVD Toys

UVD Toys will be releasing this weekend the Designer Con 2021 Exclusive Rumpus Walking Cool Tone Edition Vinyl Figure by Scribe! This 7” vinyl figure features the artist’s signature character in a new “Cool Tone” metallic colorway. The paint of this piece features a nice fade from green tones down to vibrant blues. Kranky Mini Figure Blind Box Series 1 by Superplastic

The Blot was thrilled to learn yesterday that Superplastic is releasing a new blind box artist series of Kranky mini figures!!! Kranky is an awesome mash-up by Sket One of Superplastic’s Janky platform vinyl figure with a Krylon spray can. For Kranky Series One, Superplastic has enlisted 14 amazing graffiti and street artists to put their unique art styles onto the Kranky platform.  The Blot especially loves to see how they’ve incorporated the removable cap into their designs.

Each Kranky mini figure is 3.5” of soft vinyl, features a removable cap and actually rattle just like your favorite spray paint cans! First Look: Mardivale Dunny Hyper Series by Andrew Bell & Scribe

Yesterday, Kidrobot gave the world its first look at the new designs for its upcoming Mardivale Dunny Hyper Series. Inspired by Mardi Gras and its carnival type atmosphere, the Mardivale Dunny Hyper Series features the work of two fan favorite artists Andrew Bell and Scribe! These two creators are always on top of their game and continue to produce new and innovative designer art toys. With KR’s second straight Hyper Series, I have to ask is this the future for the Dunny platform? Will new, up and coming artists get a shot at a production 3” Dunny? Regardless, The Blot’s excited to see this series in person.

First Look: Kidrobot x Samsung MiWe Vinyl Figure

Yesterday at CES, Samsung unveiled a new collaboration with Kidrobot! These two powerhouse companies will be working together to design unique, custom figurines inspired by the power of Samsung Galaxy mobile devices. As Samsung explained in a press release, “An increasingly important platform for self‐expression, mobile technology connects with users through mobile accessories, creative applications, or digital design within the device itself. Capturing Kidrobot’s inspired design on both the Galaxy accessories as well as in the devices themselves, creates multiple new touch points for artistic expression.”

MiWe, the name of KR’s newest DIY vinyl figure, is an acronym for Samsung’s marketing motto “Meaningful Innovation, Wow Experience.” As you can probably tell, MiWe is based on a Fox and fits perfectly with Kidrobot’s line of DIY MunnyWorld animal toys. In conjunction with the unveiling of this new collaboration, Kidrobot and Samsung brought in Scribe, Angry Woebots and Buff Monster to live paint 5 foot tall MiWe vinyl figures for each of the first three days of CES. Man do these customs look awesome!

Rumpus 4.5” Resin Figures by Scribe

Over the weekend Scribe released a beautiful series of Rumpus resin figures that looked almost good enough to eat! These 4.5” unpainted resin figures seriously look like candy. Each one is hand poured and came in a variety of solid and translucent colors, including “Toxic”, “Metal Mud” “Purple Passion” and “Sunshine”. Ten different Rumpus colorways were created in all, with each figure retailing for between $50-60 via Scribe’s online store. Sadly these bad boys sold out almost immediately upon release. Here’s hoping scribe releases more of these killer figures!

Kidrobot Dunny Series 2013 Checklist & Ratios

Later this month Kidrobot will be releasing its yearly blind box Dunny series, and this year it’s nicknamed the Side Show! Dunny Series 2013 invites you to tour the tent, point and wonder, and behold a collection of freaks for the geek you didn’t know you were. Featuring 20 designs from 14 artists, each designer applies his or her custom style to bring fantastic, eccentric and sometimes downright frightening designs to homes and shelves throughout the world!
