Metroid “Samus” Screen Print by Paul Rentler

The Blot is a huge fan of Paul Rentler’s artwork, so I was really excited to find out he’d released a new Metroid print featuring the iconic Nintendo video game’s protagonist, Samus! As Rentler explained, “I made them for my upcoming GDEX appearance in September (5-7), but I saved a few signed and numbered ones for you to snag early”.

Paul Rentler T-Shirt Collection by Novelty Haus

Artist Paul Rentler is teaming up with Novelty Haus to transform his unique collage and photocopy art into a new line of limited edition t-shirts! They’re kicking off this exciting new line of t-shirts with two designs: “Man-Thing Mouse” and “Science Stuff”. The Blot especially loves Rentler’s awesome mash-up of Mickey Mouse with Marvel’s Man-Thing. Now if only we could get a movie of this adorable monster!

Both of these Paul Rentler designs are only available for a limited time, from now through June 11th (or while supplies last). “Science Stuff” comes printed on an ash tri-blend tee, while “Man-Thing Mouse” is available on either a raglan baseball tee or a white t-shirt. This release includes a vinyl record picture disc, a mixtape comic and a poster. The 12” picture disc features two new recordings by Gerard, which were written to go with his new comic book series Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye from DC Comics’ Young Animal imprint.

The Record Store Day 2017 Exclusive Young Animal Mixtape “Into The Cave We Wander” Vinyl Picture Disc was designed by Paul Rentler using Michael Avon Oeming's art from the new Cave Carson series as well as older Cave Carson artwork. Each disc comes in a clear vinyl sleeve, and includes the following: a 32 page comic book featuring an all-new 3 page story by Gerard Way and Michael Allred, previews of four DC’s Young Animal comics: Doom Patrol, Shade, the Changing Girl, Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye and Mother Panic, and an 11”x 17” poster featuring characters from each of the series drawn by Nick Derington.
