Muppets Most Wanted Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko

Next week Muppets Most Wanted will premiere in theaters and the commemorate the film’s release Funko has produced a new series of Muppets Most Wanted Pop! vinyl figures. The Blot was super excited when these figures were first announced, so you could imagine my disappointment to learn the wave of 5 figures only included 3 re-releases from the first Muppets Pop! release. Sam the Eagle and the Swedish Chef look great, but couldn’t they at least give us slightly different versions of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Animal? They could have given Kermit a mole so he could be evil Kermit, or at the very least give Piggy a blue dress.

Each Muppets Most Wanted Pop! Muppets vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, features one point of articulation and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. SDCC 13 Exclusive The Muppets Bobble Heads & Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko

One of the best toy lines Funko has produced over the past few years is their Muppets Pop! vinyl figures and bobble heads. They all look spot on and really capture the youthful fun of these Jim Henson creations. So of course for San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Funko has blown The Blot away with their Muppet exclusives. First up are three Metallic The Muppets Pop! vinyl figures including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Animal.

Funko is also releasing two San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive The Muppets Wacky Wobbler Bobble Heads! While the Metallic Animal Wacky Wobbler is cool, the one The Blot is really drooling over is the Flocked Fozzie Bear Wacky Wobbler! Now if only there was a matching flocked Pop! The World of POP! Vinyl Figures Volume 1 by Funko

Funko’s Pop! series is without a doubt the most diverse toy line in history, combining more licensed properties than I can even list here. Seriously, the line features super heroes, movie actors, musicians, Disney characters and everything in between! To commemorate this successful line of cute vinyl figures, Funko is releasing a hardcover book documenting all of their releases to date entitled “World of Pop! Volume 1”.

This artistic high-end coffee table book is a full color guide of each and every Funko Pop! released so far, including The Avengers, Elvis, Mickey Mouse, and LeBron James, with amazing photographs of Pop! vinyl figures in various settings and backgrounds. SDCC 12 Exclusive Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko

It’s rare that Funko announces its San Diego Comic-Con exclusives ahead of time, so The Blot was really excited when these photos of its SDCC 2012 Disney Pop! vinyl figure exclusives hit the internet. My favorite of the bunch is definitely this flocked Winnie the Pooh vinyl figure, although 9” Sulley with 3.75” Metallic Boo 2 pack is also nice! Other of Funko’s San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Disney Pop! vinyl figures include a blue Cheshire Cat, a metallic Alien, a glow in the dark Oogie Boogie, a Fantasia 2 Pack that includes metallic Sorcery Mickey and Chernobog vinyl figures, and a Muppets 3 Pack that includes 2 metallic Snowths and a metallic Mahna Mahna.

The Muppets Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko

The most anticipated Pop! release of 2012 is almost upon us! Funko is releasing an all new line of The Muppets Pop! vinyl figures this summer and they look awesome! Actually, there’s something about Kermit’s head that looks a little off but the rest of the figures look perfect. I just hope they continue this line so I can collect all of the Electric Mayhem. The Muppets Pop! Series 1 includes Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal, Dr. Teeth, Mahna Mahna and Snowth.

Mahna Mahna and Snowth were definitely a surprise inclusion into Series 1, but I know diehard Muppet fans will love getting their hands on these two underappreciated characters. Plus the rarity of Mahna Mahna and Snowth toys should make these highly sought after.
