The annual sofubi show by artists Rampage Toys, Paul Kaiju, and Bwanna Spoons that typically takes place the Saturday night of Comic-Con has now been moved online. Last night, as part of San Diego Comic-Con / Summer Slime, Rampage Toys released this adorable SDCC 2020 Exclusive Summer Slime Flocked Ugly Unicorn Vinyl Figure Set. Each set includes hand painted and flocked Ugly Unicorn and Micro Ugly Unicorn vinyl figures with doll eyes. This 2 figure set retailed for $50 at RampageToysAndArt.bigcartel.com, but sadly the set is now sold out.

Ugly Onicorn Orange Glitter Edition Vinyl Figure by Rampage Toys x Konatsuya x Tenacious Toys

The Blot’s kind of drooling over this new blank Orange Glitter Ugly Onicorn sofubi figure by Rampage Toys and Konatsuya! This blank sofubi was cast in translucent orange soft Japanese vinyl that has been infused with gold glitter. The unpainted figure features one part of articulation and stands 5” tall. Kaiju Dunny Battle Artist Series by Kidrobot x Clutter

Kidrobot's new Kaiju Dunny Battle series brings together some of the hottest American artists working in the Neo-Kaiju genre. How rad is that!?! Rampage Toys’ Ugly Unicorn Invades Designer Con 2018!

Rampage Toys will be at Designer Con 2018 all weekend long with a ton of epic exclusives! But what has The Blot really excited is the myriad of Designer Con 2018 Exclusive Ugly Unicorns dropping at the convention. Each morning of the event Rampage Toys will be at the Clutter Magazine DCon booth #934, where he will be releasing these awesome Mecha-Goji Ugly Unicorns in both standard and micro sizes! Then there’s these sorta milky-translucent Neon Orange Micro Ugly Unicorns. Last but not least are these fantastic Unpainted Black Uglier Unicorns, which are a collab between Splurrt and Rampage Toys. These will be available from Rampage Toys at Splurrt’s DCon booth #247 on Saturday Afternoon (after his lottery session).

Oh man, news of Kidrobot’s next artist series has leaked online and it is EPIC!!! For their next blind box 3” series, KR has teamed up with Clutter to release the Kaiju Dunny Battle Series. This exciting new collection brings together some of the hottest American artists working in the Neo-Kaiju genre. Curated by Clutter, the Kaiju Dunny Battle series includes two of The Blot’s favorite designer art figures – Jeff Lamm’s Greasebat and Rampage Toys’ Ugly Unicorn!!! NYCC 2018 Exclusive Ugly Hulkicorn Vinyl Figure by Rampage Toys x Tenacious Toys

Check out this epic Incredible Hulk inspired New York Comic Con 2018 Exclusive Ugly Hulkicorn by Rampage Toys! The Ugly Unicorn has never looked so bad ass than cosplaying as Marvel’s rampaging green giant! Uglier Unicorn Gold Sparkle Edition Vinyl Figure by Rampage Toys x Tenacious Toys

This week Tenacious Toys kicked off a new monthly release of exclusive Rampage Toys sofubi vinyl figures in their online store with the Gold Sparkle Uglier Unicorn! The Uglier Unicorn is a re-envisioning of Rampage Toys’ iconic Ugly Unicorn character by Joe Merril (aka Splurrt), who also sculpted the figure.

The Gold Sparkle Uglier Unicorn stands 3.25” tall and was cast in gold flake soft Japanese vinyl with metallic blue, brown, red, silver and pink paint sprays by Rampage Toys. This figure will be painted in a limited edition based on orders placed. Collectors have one week to pre-order, with the window currently running from now through April 4th at the Tenacious Toys online store. for just $35.

NYCC 16 Exclusive Blue Ugly Onicorn Vinyl Figure by Rampage Toys x Konatsuya

Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys will be heading to New York Comic Con 2016 and setting up shop at the Tenacious Toys booth #309 on Saturday with a tone of awesome exclusives, including this Blue Edition Ugly Onicorn soft Japanese vinyl figure! The Blot loves this devilish new take on Rampage Toys’ signature character, the Ugly Unicorn. The New York Comic Con 2016 Exclusive Blue Version Ugly Onicorn is limited to 34 pieces and will retail for $45.

Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys took a break from sculpting and painting toys and sat down with some good old paper and ink for a bit of drawing. After originally debuting at Design Festa 39, Rampage Toys’ trippy “Psychadelic Freakout!” Ugly Unicorn vinyl figures have finally been released online! Cast in a beautiful marbled soft Japanese vinyl made from a mash-up of vibrant pink and glow in the dark vinyl, the “Psychadelic Freakout!” Ugly Unicorn features purple hair and some seriously crazy eyes! Rampage Toys has been releasing some amazing marbled vinyl figures lately, and these pink and GID Ugly Unicorns definitely stand out as a perfect example of the finest in Japanese sofubi creative techniques.

“Glacier Beast” Christmas Ugly Unicorn Vinyl Figure by Rampage Toys

Christmas is almost here and Rampage Toys has a winterrific colorway of their Ugly Unicorn vinyl figure! Cast in a beautiful marbled soft Japanese vinyl made from a mash-up of clear turquoise and glow in the dark vinyl, the “Glacier Beast” Christmas Ugly Unicorn features various blue, white and silver spray with a little bit of sparkle-action on top! Each figure also includes a hand-knit beanie hat, specially designed so that the UU's horn can protrude freely. What a great accessory!

Unfortunately the “Glacier Beast” Christmas Ugly Unicorn, which retailed for $50, is limited to just 5 pieces and is already sold out. Cast in black soft Japanese vinyl, this TAG Exclusive UU features the now iconic red, black and silver “Thrashout” color scheme. This is one awesome rendition of Rampage Toys’ Ugly Unicorn!

Orange & Black Marbled Halloween Ugly Unicorn by Rampage Toys

In honor of Halloween tomorrow Rampage Toys will be releasing this beautiful Orange and Black Marbled Ugly Unicorn. Not only is it the perfect companion to the Orange and Black Marbled Greasebat Rampage Toys released earlier this month, but it looks awesome! I can only imagine how great these two figures will look displayed together on a collector’s shelf. The marbling effect is fantastic, and just screams Halloween to The Blot. While these figures come unpainted, Jon of Rampage Toys has offered to paint each figure’s eyes and mouth in the color of the customer’s choosing if the customer wants. Original Ugly Unicorn 2nd Anniversary Set by Rampage Toys

Rampage Toys’ Ugly Unicorn was first conceived in fall of 2010, with the first Ugly Unicorn vinyl figure released around this time 2 years ago. It’s crazy to see how far this character has come (and how many releases it’s had) in such a short period of time. In honor of Ugly Unicorn’s 2nd birthday, Rampage Toys has released a very special anniversary set featuring the standard sized Ugly Unicorn and the new Micro Ugly Unicorn in its original concept colorway. In fact, you can see the very first Ugly Unicorn drawing by Jon Malmstedt from three years ago that these figures are based on. Both Ugly Unicorns were cast in yellow soft Japanese vinyl and feature white, red and black spray.

“2nd Anniversary” Unpainted Black Ugly Unicorn Vinyl Figure by Rampage Toys

It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since Rampage Toys’ Ugly Unicorn burst on the designer toy scene! The Blot’s proud to say I jumped on the UU bandwagon early and have a couple of the figure’s early releases in my collection. In honor of Ugly Unicorn’s 2nd birthday Jon Malmstedt will be releasing this mythical creature in the classic unpainted black colorway. This is the first time UU has ever been cast in black soft Japanese vinyl, and the only time it will ever be available as an unpainted black figure.

Even better still, in honor of the Ugly Unicorn’s 2nd anniversary John has lowered the price of the Black Unpainted UU to just $20 each via the Rampage Toys online store! This is an open pre-order, so there is no limit on the number of figures you may order. The figure will be available for purchase for approximately one week through August 31st. Pretty awesome, right!?! The Blot can’t wait to see what customizers do with this one.

The Gachapon Goblins Mini Vinyl Figures by Rampage Toys

Rampage Toys has unveiled a really fun new line of mini sofubi vinyl figures entitled the Gachapon Goblins! This series includes seven 1.5-2” figures designed to fit in the Rampage Toys’ two inch Gachapon machine. The Gachapon Goblins includes Rampage Toys’ Ugly Unicorn and My Little Unicorn, Shitman by Art Junkie, Joseph Harmon’s Slimeface Seijin and Eggplant Bat Boy, and Walter Parenton’s Bobbybeast characters Harry and Bobby. What a strong line-up!

The first regular release of these exciting new mini figures will be at Superfestival on September 29th, but coming this Friday, August 23rd, Rampage Toys will open up a very special pre-order for a full set of The Gachapon Goblins (that’s all 7 figures) in unpainted black vinyl. Rumor has it there may be options for single blind bagged Gachapon Goblins and maybe even secret painted versions as well! It looks like each figure will retail for around $10, making amassing an army of these little guys extremely reasonable. BLObPUS x Rampage Toys Ugly Unicorn Vinyl Figures

For the BLObPUS x Splurrt Custom Show at Rampage Studios, legendary artist BLObPUS worked his amazing magic on not one but two small runs of Rampage Toys’ awesome Ugly Unicorns!!! The Blot’s a hug fan of the Ugly Unicorn, and it is beyond awesome to see BLObPUS’ sprays on this 5” sofubi figure. Cast in glow in the dark soft Japanese vinyl, there is the BLObPUS Eyes version, which features the artist’s signature eyes, and the Crazy Eyes version, which features some seriously crazy eyes.

Rampage Toys x Hints and Spices Ugly Unicorn & Waniphant Set

After over a year of planning, Rampage Toys and Hints and Spices are officially releasing their first Ugly Unicorn and Waniphant joint release! This awesome set actually includes two vinyl figures and 2 5”x7” prints (one by each artist) all for just $85. The Ugly Unicorn and Waniphant are cast in matching purple/neon/pink vinyl and come painted by Rampage Toys. The Rampage Toys print is a reproduction of an original gouache painting by Jon Malmstedt entitled “Joyride”.
