Pop!nk Editions will be set up at C2E2 in Chicago, IL this weekend, where they’ll be releasing a number of awesome convention exclusive pop culture prints, including two killer posters by Zach Schrey! The artist’s second design is this fun Disney tessellation design entitled “Hats Off” featuring Goofy’s signature hat. It’s a 22”x22” hand pulled 3 color screen print. RSD Exclusive The Dark Crystal Original Soundtrack LP Vinyl Record

This Saturday, April 22nd, is Record Store Day!!! There are a number of awesome exclusives this year, including this awesome reissue of the original The Dark Crystal soundtrack in honor of the film’s 35th anniversary! This is the first time the soundtrack has been available on vinyl since the film’s original release. The Record Store Day 2017 Exclusive The Dark Crystal Original Soundtrack LP Vinyl Record features Richard Amsel’s original movie poster for the film as its cover artwork and is pressed on 140 gram “Crystal Clear” vinyl.

The Dark Crystal: The Original Soundtrack features Trevor Jones’ musical score written for the film, arranged specifically for an album listening experience. The album was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at the legendary Abby road studios in 1982. This release is limited to 1,500 pieces, and can be purchased this weekend at local participating indie record stores.

There are a number of awesome exclusives this year, but The Blot’s #1 must get is this awesome DC’s Young Animal Mixtape “Into The Cave We Wander” Vinyl Picture Disc by Gerard Way! This release includes a vinyl record picture disc, a mixtape comic and a poster. The 12” picture disc features two new recordings by Gerard, which were written to go with his new comic book series Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye from DC Comics’ Young Animal imprint.

The Record Store Day 2017 Exclusive Young Animal Mixtape “Into The Cave We Wander” Vinyl Picture Disc was designed by Paul Rentler using Michael Avon Oeming's art from the new Cave Carson series as well as older Cave Carson artwork. Each disc comes in a clear vinyl sleeve, and includes the following: a 32 page comic book featuring an all-new 3 page story by Gerard Way and Michael Allred, previews of four DC’s Young Animal comics: Doom Patrol, Shade, the Changing Girl, Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye and Mother Panic, and an 11”x 17” poster featuring characters from each of the series drawn by Nick Derington.

Marihuana Screen Print by Timothy Pittides x Grey Matter Art

Timothy Pittides continues his fantastic Vices screen print series with “Marihuana”, a pretty appropriate release for 4/20 if you ask me! Produced by Grey Matter Art, this is the third and final poster in Pittides newest triptych, which also features “Opium” and “Cocaine”. This is the 10th screen print in the series, which is based on the propaganda films from the early 20th century.

Marihuana by Timothy Pittides is an 18”x24” hand numbered 5 color screen print with metallic ink. The Regular Edition features metallic gold ink, is limited to 70 pieces and will retail for $35, while the Variant features metallic silver and gold inks, is limited to just 35 pieces and will retail for $45. Both versions go on sale at 1pm EST today, Thursday, April 20th, at the Grey Matter Art online store.

Vertical Gallery will be at C2E2 2017 this weekend in Chicago, IL where they will be releasing this fantastic new screen print “Flynamic Duo” by Hebru Brantley! This poster is a mash-up off Hebru’s signature character, Flyboy, with DC Comics’ dynamic duo, Batman and Robin. A perfect release for a comic con like C2E2, don’t you think!?! The Blot loves this comic book inspired print, and if I was at C2E2 this Friday Flynamic Duo would be at the top of my must get list.

There will be three different colorways of this poster available at Vertical Gallery’s C2E2 booth #655 this weekend: a 3 Color Edition limited to 35 pieces, a 12 Color Edition limited to 50 pieces, and a super rare 12 Color Gold Metallic Variant limited to just 8 pieces.
