It always amazes me when a new The Walking Dead season starts. We go so long between seasons it often feels like the show is never coming back. Thankfully that hasn’t stopped the show’s (and comic book’s) hype machine, which has been going into overdrive the past year. I don’t go a day without hearing something about the hit AMC television show or Image comic book. It’s like The Walking Dead has taken over American pop culture…either that or Walkers really have taken over the country side.
The Walking Dead Season 3 introduces fan favorites Michonne and The Governor, and tackles what is without a doubt the comic book’s greatest storyline. Not only that, but some might argue it’s one of the greatest storylines in all of comics! That means we’re in for either the best TWD season yet, or a colossal let down. The show has a lot to live up to this season, and I’m really interested in seeing if it can match the intensity and awe of the comic books.
The Walking Dead Season 3 airs Sundays on AMC at 9/8c starting October 14th.
