The Blot can’t believe we’re just a week away from opening night of Solo: A Star Wars Story! I am beyond excited to see this new Star Wars film next Thursday in glorious IMAX. The real reason I’m super excited for Solo is that it marks the triumphant return of one of my favorite characters, Lando Calrissian, to the Star Wars movie universe! For whatever reason, Billy Dee hasn’t been invited to appear in either of the last two trilogy films, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and I’m hoping that Solo shows Lucasfilm just how popular Lando really is. We need more Billy Dee!
In anticipation of the film’s release, Lucasfilm has just released these fantastic teaser character one sheet movie posters featuring the film’s cast playing a game of Sabacc. Has anyone ever looked so cool playing cards than Donald Glover’s young Lando Calrissian!?! I think not!
Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to premiere on May 25, 2018. It was director by Ron Howard and stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as Qi'Ra, and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.
