Wow, it’s hard to believe it has been almost 4.5 years since Medicom Toy ended its awesome Marvel Retro Sofubi Collection. The Blot really loved those 10” soft vinyl figures, and I was super pumped to learn Medicom was resurrecting the toy line with this Wonder Festival 2020 Exclusive Spider-Man figure! It is based on Spidey’s costume in the 1977 live action television show, The Amazing Spider-Man, in which he wore his web shooter as a bracelet on the outside of his costume. You can see it on the figure’s left wrist.
This rad new take on Marvel Comics’ Amazing Spider-man will go on sale this Sunday, February 9th, at Wonder Festival 2020 for around $80. There will only be 100 of these figures available at Wonder Festival, but Spidey is also available online with its final run size based on the number of orders placed. Hopefully this is just the first of many new Marvel Retro Sofubi figures!!! A boy can dream, right?
