If you follow The Blot on social media, then you know I’m pretty distraught over what Funko has done to Mondo over the past few weeks. First they let go of half of the staff, including the three primary creative directors of the company (including two company founders) and much of the staff supporting Mondo’s print division. Then their CEO released a super tone-deaf press release trying to spin how they've basically killed what Mondo was to justify the cuts, which appears to have been caused by Funko's overall poor quarterly report. For all intents and purposes, the Mondo we all knew and loved is dead. RIP!
That being said, there are still a few prints that were so far along in their process that art is still coming out. Like this fun new Marvel Studios poster for LOKI by artist Anne Benjamin. Originally designed as a poster, the artwork was first released as the cover artwork to Mondo’s LOKI: original Soundtrack Season One 3xLP they previously released. There are three Variants to this new MCU poster, so watch out for the TVA!
LOKI by Anne Benjamin is a 36”x24” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 215 pieces and will retail for $60, the Lamentis Variant is limited to 140 pieces and will retail for $85, and the TVA Variant is limited to 140 pieces and will retail for $85.
