For this release Magasco has recreated a number of iconic movie posters but incorporated Chueh’s beloved sad emo bear. A 3.75” resin emo bear was then attached to the 12”x9” painted wood panel transforming it into blister card packaging.
Luke Chueh went on to say, “I don’t know if I’ve ever said this, but I freaking love Ghanaian movie poster art. The “naive” art style, coupled with over the top violence speaks to me on so many different levels. Though the hand painted movie posters are no longer being used, the style and aesthetic are still very much alive, and Ghanaian artists are now being commissioned by collectors and fans”
