Metro Mad*l 5” Vinyl Figure Custom Series by Sket One

As you all know, The Blot is a HUGE fan of MAD’s Mad*l platform and of Sket One’s art. So of course I was super pumped to learn Sket just released a new series of custom Metro Mad*l vinyl figures! Just look at all those killer details. I especially love that Sket tagged the back of each piece just like it was a real 1 Line metro subway train. Each figure stands 5” tall, includes a small vintage NYC subway token, and comes signed and numbered by the artist. Limited to just 30 pieces, collectors can pre-order this awesome custom now at the Sket One online store for $200 each.

MAD & Broke Piggy present The Bricked MAD*L Exhibit at Designer Con 2016

Broke Piggy is teaming up once again with MAD for a very special Designer Con release! They are hosting the Bricked MAD*L Exhibit at the Broke Piggy DCon booth #527, where some of the best graffiti artists in the designer toy scene have customized a series Brick Wall MAD*L 5” figures. Each handmade plaster figure will be a one of a kind custom painted by MAD, Angry Woebots, Deph, Jesse Hernandez, kaNO, Marka27, Scribe and Sket-One. What an insane line-up, right!?!? The Blot can’t wait to see how these turned out.

Military MAD*L Custom Vinyl Figure by DrilOne

Check out this seriously amazing custom Military MAD*L vinyl figure DrilOne just dropped in his online store! The Blot is constantly blown away by Dril’s custom pieces, and this 6” MAD*L is a perfect example of why. I don’t know how Dril can transform a vinyl figure into looking like a rusted, worn and weathered metal military vehicle, but he does it every time! And just look at all the insane sculpting Dril added to this piece. Many try to duplicate Dril’s signature style of painting and sculpting, but he’s truly made this military look all his own.

Fire Guardian MAD*L Custom Vinyl Figures by MAD

MAD’s beloved Guardian MAD*L is back! The Guardian MAD*L is one of MAD’s most popular characters and shockingly this awesome design has never been released as a production figure. That just makes these super rare custom figures hand crafted by MAD even more of a “must get” by collectors. For his newest micro run, MAD has created the Fire Guardian MAD*L vinyl figure, which feature a striking red, yellow, black and white color scheme. Limited to just 3 pieces, these fantastic Fire Guardian MAD*Ls are currently available at the MAD Toy Store for $200 each.

As MAD explained, “The Guardians are modern renditions of guardian angels in today’s world. Angels have been depicted in various forms by artists for centuries, and this is my spin on them. The Guardians is a concept I've been developing for over 12 years, and have used the characters for many different projects. One of my favorite variations is doing them on the MAD*L platform. I've been creating these Guardian MAD*Ls in different color styles and sizes for a while, and this latest version is the Fire colorway.”

Toxic 3 Edition Pink GID Resin Mini Mad'l by MAD

These random surprise resin Mad’l releases by MAD kill me! Mainly because The Blot always misses out, but also because they so rarely happen anymore! MAD recently dropped this killer semitransparent pink glow in the dark Toxic 3 Edition Mini Mad’l in his online store for $50. This is the 14th edition of MAD’s 3” resin Mini Mad’l and is limited to just 20 pieces. What’s awesome about this particular colorway is that it glows white in the dark! Each figure comes packaged in a custom gift box, which includes a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. Sadly, this PGID figure is now sold out.

MAD dropped his fourth surprise custom MAD*L in his online store recently, and it was this fantastic “The Watcher” design! As MAD explained, “I do a lot of sketching in my book, and recently started taking some of those images and applying them to the MADL platform. I'm keeping them as simple black and white pieces, but trying to have fun adding lots of detail. As I complete them I'll be putting them up for grabs on the store.” The Blot loves how intricate each design has been, and am blown away by how clean MAD keeps his hand drawn lines.

Smoke Edition Micro Mad*l Resin Figure by MAD

Earlier this week, after a brief hiatus, MAD brought back his killer Micro MAD*L resin figure line with this Smoke Edition release! Cast from an all new mold and packaged in some super slick packaging, each figure stands 35mm tall, is hand polished to create the best finish possible and comes packaged in a signed and numbered custom metal canister with die-cut foam for protection.

The Smoke Edition Micro Mad*l resin figures is limited to just 20 pieces and was sold exclusively at MAD's online store for $25. Unfortunately, this beautiful semi-translucent colorway sold out almost immediately upon release.

Mad*l Characters Print Series Power Puff Girls Themed Batch 9 by MAD

MAD continues his epic pop culture inspired Mad*l Characters Print Series this week with Batch #9! The series is based on the many influences MAD grew up with, including comic books, anime, toys and cartoons. It’s basically a who’s who of MAD’s favorite heroes and villains from movies, television and comic books. While the project started as a creative exercise to apply some of those different licenses to the Mad*l platform, it quickly grew into over 100 different designs!

The Mad*l Characters Print Series includes 100 6”x6” Giclee prints, limited to 25 of each design. This awesome series will be sold in weekly batches of 4-6 different designs, with each limited edition print sold separately for $20 each. The Power Puff Girls themed Batch 9 is available now and includes Mad’l versions of Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, Mojo Jojo and Fuzzy Lumpkins. Buy one, or all five, now at MAD’s online store.
