Each baseball themed print is an 8”x10” signed and numbered fine art giclee print on cotton rag paper using archival inks. Mitchell has also released this awesome Ken Griffey Jr. inspired “Super Kid” print, featuring the Hall of Fame slugger in his Seattle Mariners uniform.  This 4”x6” SUPER series print is limited to just 100 pieces, retails for just $20, and comes signed and numbered by the artist.

Ebbets Field x Super7 Baseball Boy Vintage Baseball Jersey

Check out this awesome new collaboration between Ebbets Field and Super7, a classic “authentic vintage” Baseball Boy baseball jersey inspired by the San Francisco Giants! Each jersey was individually handmade with authentic 1950s era baseball wool flannel by Ebbets Field in Seattle. The Super7 jersey, available in cream or grey, features an embroidered Baseball Boy mascot patch on the front left chest, a custom number “7” felt appliqué on the back, felt “SF” letters on the right sleeve (for San Francisco naturally), the “Super7” script logo embroidered on the left sleeve, and orange with black trim.

Ebbets Field has been handcrafting beautiful mid-century inspired athletic garments since 1988, and this is their second killer collab with the fine folks at Super7. Sandwich City T-Shirt Series 2 by Deli Fresh Threads

Deli Fresh Threads continues its fantastic sports themed Sandwich City T-Shirt Series with three awesome new designs! The Hundreds x Premium Goods 10th Anniversary Houston “34” T-Shirt Collection

Yesterday, Houston’s premier sneaker boutique Premium Goods celebrated their 10th Anniversary with a killer party and pop-up shop at 8th Wonder Brewery. They released a whole slew of limited edition Premium Goods 10th Anniversary t-shirts, including this epic capsule collection collaboration with The Hundreds. Made especially for Premium Goods’ 10th Anniversary Party, The Hundreds and PG created the “34” Collection, which pays homage to 3 legendary Houston professional athletes who all wore the number 34. Who knew the number 34 held such significance in the pantheon of Houston professional sports?

First up is the Houston Oilers football jersey inspired t-shirt that pays tribute to hall of fame running back Earl “The Tyler Rose” Campbell! It’s limited to 75 pieces and retailed for $35. Then there’s the baseball pullover jersey inspired by the Houston Astros’ old school uniforms and one of the toughest pitchers to ever hurl a fastball, Nolan “The Ryan Express” Ryan. It’s also limited to 75 pieces and retailed for $75.

Last but not least is this Houston Rockets inspired basketball jersey that pays tribute to hall of fame member and world champion, Hakeem “The Dream” Olajawon. This awesome jersey is limited to 75 pieces and retailed for just $30.

The Topps Baseball Vintage T-Shirt Collection by Homage

While most people are talking about football on this America’s biggest sports day of the year (the Super Bowl's today, duh), The Blot thought I’d turn my attention to the nation’s former favorite pastime, baseball! Everyone at some point in their life has bought a pack of trading cards (or wax packs), whether it was baseball cards, basketball cards, Garbage Pail Kids, Magic: The Gathering or Pokemon, and no name is more synonymous with trading cards than The Topps Company. Topps definitely played a big role in The Blot’s childhood, so of course I was really blown away to find out about these Topps vintage t-shirts by Homage!

Evidently the Topps x Homage Collection has been out for a while, but no one bothered to tell me. These Topps vintage t-shirts are inspired by the magic of card collecting, and features original Topps artwork from actual wax packs and old baseball cards found deep in the Topps Archives. Five different designs were produced in all (4 t-shirts and 1 hoodie), each one better than the last. My personal favorites are the “Topps All Star Rookie”, featuring the annual Topps All-Star Rookie Team logo, and “The Real One”.

The Topps x Homage Collection is currently available for purchase in sizes XS-XXXL at the Homage online store. The vintage t-shirts retail for $28, while the vintage Topps Baseball hoodie sells for $65.

Sandwich City T-Shirt Series by Deli Fresh Threads

Deli Fresh Threads has released an awesome new collection of t-shirts entitled the Sandwich City Series, which mashes-up three cities’ signature sandwiches with the iconic logos of a professional sports team from each corresponding location. These designs are Deli Fresh Threads’ way of showing love to these wonderful sandwiches and the cities they call home. The “Cheesesteak” combines the Philly Cheeseteak with the Philadelphia Phillies logo, the “Cuban” is a mash-up of the Cuban Sandwich with the Miami Dolphins logo, and the “Pastrami on Rye” is a homage to the New York Knicks logo.

As a sports fans and a devoted sandwich eater, The Blot really loves the inspiration behind Deli Fresh Threads’ Sandwich City Series! I also think it’s pretty cool that Biggie of Deli Fresh Threads made sure each design paid tribute to a different sport, with teams from the NFL, NBA and MLB all represented in this release. Giants Edition Pocket Baseball Boy by Super7

The San Francisco Giants are MLB World Series Champions, and what better way to celebrate than purchasing one of these awesome Giants Edition Pocket Baseball Boy vinyl figures by Super7! Sold exclusively at Super7’s Haight St. retail location, this Pocket Mummy Boy is all dressed up to support his hometown heroes, the SF Giants! This pocket sized Baseball Boy is small enough to go with you to the stadium or watch the game from the couch.

This 3” tall figure features a pearlescent grey vinyl body and a white vinyl head, and black and orange detailing to match the San Francisco Giant’s team colors. Each figure retails for just $25, and sadly will not be sold online.

Crooks & Castles x H-Town Sneaker Summit Texas Baseball T-Shirt Collection

Last weekend The Blot was able to attend one of my favorite local events, the bi-annual H-Town Sneaker Summit where sneaker enthusiasts and indie clothing brands from around the country come together to celebrate the scene. While I’m not that much of a sneakerhead, I love going to meet up and coming brands (many of which have been featured here on The Blot Says...). For the past few years legendary streetwear brand Crooks & Castles have been in attendance, and this year they brought with them two epic exclusive Texas themed t-shirts and tank tops.

First up is the “Trill in Paradise” t-shirt, which features the classic Texas Rangers logo and font. On its back is a tribute to Chris “Lewds” Natalio, a member of the Crooks & Castles family who tragically passed away earlier this year. The second shirt, and my personal favorite, is the Crooks & Castles x H-Town Sneaker Summit 2012 t-shirt which combines the Crooks & Castles logo with the Houston Astros’ old school logo.

Both shirts were sold in honor of Lewds, with all proceeds going to his family. I, of course, couldn’t pass up an opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause and score such a killer t-shirt in the process. I haven’t heard if either of these sold out or will be showing up on the Crooks & Castles online store, but if they do I highly recommend picking one or both of them up!

Fur Face Boy 2012 Baseball Series T-Shirt Collection

The great American pastime kicked off last week, which means we’re in for a very long and dull summer sports season. I can’t lie, The Blot hates baseball…but I do love this new MLB themed t-shirt collection from Dallas’ Fur Face Boy! It’s shaping up to be another big season for the Texas Rangers and FFB wants to commemorate it with these baseball inspired tees.

The 2012 FFB Baseball Series includes three designs: “FFB Big Head Mascot” - a Fur Face Boy twist to a classic baseball mascot; “FFB Rangers” - repping FFB’s hometown team and your American league champs; and “FFB Old English Raglan” - what’s baseball without raglans and Old English type!?! Loyal K.N.G. Winter 2011 T-Shirt Collection

I don’t know where I’ve been, but evidently last week Loyal K.N.G. released its Winter 2011 T-Shirt Collection. This Texas indie brand always injects a heavy dose of pop culture references in their designs, and they definitely went all out on this collection! From sports, movies and anime to hip-hop, comic books and video games, the Loyal K.N.G. Winter collection has a little bit of everything in it. This is definitely the clothing line for all you pop culture connoisseurs to check out.

One of my favorite new t-shirts in this release is the “Mojo Power” design. It’s a crazy mash-up of Caesar from the Rise of the Planet of the Apes film, Mojo Jo Jo from The Powerpuff Girls, and the “Power” music video by Kanye West. You really can’t ask for much more pop culture goodness crammed into one t-shirt design than that, can you!?!

For the sports fans there’s the Atlanta Braves inspired “Atamahawk” and the Oakland Raiders themed “Toon Raider” t-shirts. Both designs feature Atama, the Loyal K.N.G. mascot, reinterpreted as a professional sports team’s logo. The Loyal K.N.G. Winter 2011 Collection also includes designs inspired by Doraemon, RoboCop, KRS-One, Sam and Max and so much more! Can you spot all the homages in these tees?

Clemens & Belichick – Keeping Congress Busy Since 2008

The Guys from Shirt-a-Day are back with another stellar shirt. Hot on the heels of last week's Congressional Hearing on Roger Clemens’ alleged steroid use and the meeting on Capital Hill between Senator Arlen Specter and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell concerning Bill Belichick’s Spygate comes the “Clemens & Belichick – Keeping Congress Busy Since 2008” T-Shirt. The Mitchell Report Is Here!

Shockingly, The Mitchell Report says steroids and human growth hormone (HGH) has been and currently is used league wide by Major League players. Hopefully some good will actually come from all this and the report’s recommendations will be followed by MLB. The best case scenario is that this report somehow trickles down and affects the high school and little league levels in steering America’s youth away from steroids and HGH.
