Little Liberty Vinyl Figure by Erick Scarecrow & ESC Toy

Erick Scarecrow’s iconic Liberty 12” vinyl figure is back in a smaller scale and with a revised sculpt!!! It’s been 8 years since the last Liberty colorway was released, but the figure proved so popular it is one of the few designer art toys to actually be bootlegged. Now ESC Toy is bringing Lady Liberty back as Little Liberty, a vinyl figure with PVC parts that stands 6.5" tall and comes packaged in a full color window box.

NYCC 14 Exclusive Brick Basher Custom Resin Dunnys by Erick Scarecrow

ESC Toy and Erick Scarecrow have too many amazing New York Comic Con 2014 exclusives lined up for The Blot to cover here, but you should definitely stop by their NYCC booth #515 to see them all! One of my favorite ESC Toy NYCC releases is this awesome Super Mario Bros. inspired Brick Basher Custom 3” Dunny Resin Figure. As a lifelong Nintendo fan, I still get excited to see custom designer toys that are inspired by Mario and his brother Lugi. For Brick Basher’s inaugural release, Erick has produced four different colorways: Retro, Fired Up, Snowball and Warhol.

A different Brick Basher Dunny colorway will be released each day of New York Comic Con. On Thursday, October 9th, at 12pm EDT, the “Fired Up” Brick Basher will be released. It’s limited to 45 pieces and retails for $15. On Friday, October 10th, at 11am EDT, the “Warhol” Brick Basher will be released. It’s limited to 40 pieces and retails for $20.

On Saturday, October 11th, at 12pm EDT, the “Retro” Brick Basher will be released. It’s limited to 40 pieces and retails for $15. On Sunday, October 12th, at 12pm EDT, the “Snowball” Brick Basher will be released. It’s limited to 40 pieces and retails for $20.

NYCC 14 Exclusive Vixion Custom Resin Dunny by Erick Scarecrow

ESC Toy and Erick Scarecrow are heading to New York Comic Con 2014 and bringing with them an incredible line up of exclusive prints and toys! The Blot’s favorite of the bunch is Erick’s newest creation, Vixion! This awesome new character was inspired by Marvel’s android Avenger, the Vision, and sports Scarecrow's unique style. The “Red Face” Vixion Dunny features Vision’s signature red, yellow and green color scheme. This debonair robot is also available in a “Blue Face” colorway that features blue, red and orange sprays.

The “Red Face” Vixion is limited to just 30 pieces and will go on sale Friday, October 10th, at 11am. The “Blue Face” Vixion is limited to 35 pieces and will go on sale the day before (Thursday, October 9th) at 12pm. Both custom translucent resin Dunnys stand 3” tall and can be purchased exclusively at the ESC Toy NYCC booth #515 for just $15!

Hotline Miami 1/6 Scale Articulated Figures by Dennaton x Devolver Digital x ESC Toy

Hotline Miami is a high-octane action game overflowing with raw brutality, hard-boiled gun play and skull crushing close combat. Set in an alternative 1989 Miami, players of the video game assume the role of a mysterious antihero on a murderous rampage against the shady underworld at the behest of voices on your answering machine. Erick Scarecrow and ESC Toy have teamed up with Dennaton and Devolver Digital to launch a killer new line of Hotline Miami 1/6 Scale articulated figures, and they’ve launched an already hugely successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the production.

“Jacket” is the protagonist of Hotline Miami PC video game, and is the playable character for most of the game. The name started out as just a nickname for the character by players of the game, but since then Dennaton has referred to the protagonist as Jacket in various interviews and the name was adopted as canon. Over the course of the game, Jacket dons various animal masks under new personalities and performs a number of brutal assassinations in response to cryptic messages left on his answering machine. After another masked assassin attempts to murder Jacket in his own apartment, he spends the last few chapters of the game pursuing those he feels are responsible.

The primary Hotline Miami 12" figure comes with four removable heads: Tony (Tiger), Richard (Rooster), Aubrey (Pig), and a bloody, bandaged Jacket head. The figure also comes with interchangeable clothing including a letter jacket, t-shirt, pair of jeans, Air Vigilante sneakers and a hospital gown. Three weapons - a shotgun, baseball bat, and katana - are also included for Jacket to hold while posed using his 15 points of articulation. What’s really awesome about this Kickstarter campaign is this awesome 1/6 scale figure and all of the accessories listed here can be yours for a pledge of just $85.

There are a number of lower and higher pledge levels with their own unique rewards. My favorite of the bunch are the KS Exclusive “Midnight Miami Marauder” Edition Jacket and KS Exclusive “Soaked” Edition Jacket, both designed by Erick Scarecrow and limited to just 100 pieces. The “Midnight Miami Marauder” colorway features a classic ‘80s Miami pink and teal color scheme, while the “Soaked” colorway features a monotone color scheme with extra blood splatter. Last weekend ESC Toy released another of Erick Scarecrow’s beautiful 3” custom Dunnys! The Blot loves all these translucent resin mini figures Erick’s been releasing lately. Reform School Patty Custom Dunny is a 3” clear resin figure with pink and purple spray and includes a translucent pink spanking paddle. What a bad, bad girl! Doctor Who Custom Soopa Coin Op by Ben Plavin

Artist Ben Plavin recently created his first custom vinyl figure, and The Blot loves it! Ben has turned ESC Toy’s full size DIY Soopa Coin Op vinyl figure into a pretty realistic Doctor Who arcade game. To make this custom figure, Plavin added the light at the top and attached an EL Wire unit to the back to light both the top and the screen. The figure’s side graphics include Simpson inspired Doctor Who art by Dean T. Fraser, while the 8-bit Doctor Who video game itself is a combination of Doctor Who perler bead art and the old school X-Men arcade game. This is definitely some cool use of Photoshop. Fantastic work Ben! I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

DCon Exclusive “Invader Blue” & “Aged Gold” Mr. 2600 Resin Figure by Erick Scarecrow

The Atari inspired Mr. 2600 features the gaming system’s classic joystick controller as a head and stands 3” tall. There are two Designer Con 2013 Exclusive ESC Toy x Trampt Mr. 2600 colorways dropping today, the translucent “Invader Blue” and “Aged Gold”.

ESC Toy’s SDCC 2013 Exclusives Are Here!

Every year Erick Scarecrow and ESC Toy bring the heat to San Diego Comic-Con and this year is no different! Scarecrow will be setting up shop at Dragatomi’s SDCC booth #5350 and he’s got so many amazing exclusives and customs that really show off his unique art style.

First up is the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive Mini Smoke Soopa 3” clear resin figure, is limited to just 10 pieces and retails for $20 each. Then there’s a really cool custom Goofy Disney Pop! nicknamed Camspill Goffy. For this fun 3” figure Erick used Monster Kolor and is limited to just 6 pieces. Each figure comes signed and number, and retails for $50 each. And keep your eyes peeled for the cool Alien Pop! custom “Alien Cuss”. Limited to only 6 pieces, each 3" custom vinyl figure is signed and numbered by artist and retails for $75.

Next up is the PS Bot Blue! This 7" handmade figure comes signed and numbered by ESC and is limited to just 6 pieces. Pick one up for $300 each. There’s also the MK Drake by Monster Kolor and Erick Scarecrow, which is limited to just 9 pieces and will retail for $125.
