Who can forget the brutally memorable opening sequence of The Witcher’s first episode? All is quiet — too quiet — as a baby deer nibbles grass on the shoreline of a foreboding swamp. Suddenly, a kikimora bursts out of the water, frantically flailing its giant, spidery limbs in an attempt to subdue Geralt of Rivia, disarming him of his trusted silver sword. It’s a harrowing struggle which nearly sees the drowning of our hero, but through sheer will, he reunites with his blade, sealing the fate of the eight-legged monster with the severing of its head. Here, Netflix and 9am8bit honor that inaugural clash with the aptly named First Encounter Geralt, a beautifully sculpted archival resin statue, lovingly hand-painted with an exquisite attention to detail.

DCon 2019 Exclusive THE G.O.A.T. Chicago Red Edition Resin Figure by Tracy Tubera

Tracy Tubera has revealed his newest original resin figure, The G.O.A.T.! Inspired by arguably the greatest basketball player (and sneaker spokesperson) of all time, Michael Jordan, The G.O.A.T. is a 10” tall, hand crafted full resin art sculpture with a glossy finish. This figure is based on Tubera’s previously released GOAT print. For it’s first colorway, The G.O.A.T. is being released in a Designer Con 2019 Exclusive Chicago Red Edition, which pays homage to Jordan’s Chicago Bulls.

This amazing piece is limited to just 23 pieces and will retail for $225. During 2:15-3:15pm on Saturday, November 23rd, De Korner will be releasing a small batch of these figures at their DCon booth #400. The remaining pieces will be released online to give people who can’t make it out to Designer Con 2019 a chance to buy one.
